Leek and potato soup. Delicious ❤ classic Scottish granny soup x
Thank you! :)
Even classic in Sweden and I saw a man from Wales do it on RUclips as a classic Welsh soup. We are all the same!
That was a great job...I am VERY impressed. Everything you made looked really delicious. I will certainly be trying those recipes.
Thank you so much! :)
Saute chopped leek and grated carrot on butter, season to your liking. Pour over cleaned fish of your choice, wrap in foil, oven time 25 min (until fish cooks). Thank me later!
Great video, I really liked how different the recipes were.
Thank you! :)
Leek and potato soup is delicious and you can use any veggie tips or waste pieces, onions skins, etc to make the stock for it, definitely try it some time! I lvoed in Bavaria for 18 months and love your video. Subbed! I would use those pieces of cardboard as a firestarter to bake some roast potatoes over a campfire with those leftover taters! Totally agree with you on those stickers, yuck, why do they even bother with them?!
Thank you so much!! :)
You did a great job and yummy meals.
Thank you, Loretta! :)
Great video. I love these. The absolute cheapest bread is the one you make yourself 😊
Thank you! :) And I agree - but it is so hard to say no to a bargain. ^^
Well I'll have to try the Gmischben und Batzen one day! Looks like something I'd love
That would make me and my Mom very proud! :)
Fascinating. However, I’d recommend more pulses (very cheap, if cooked from dry) for more protein and fibre. The potato and pasta dough is very intriguing.
Great video! I’d certainly love to see if you can make it work on 10 euros!
Thank you! :) I'll certainly try! :)
It all looks delicious.
Thank you, Molly! :)
Glad I found your channel!
Glad to have you around! :)
hi coco.....maybe try 12 euro. I think 10 is impossible. you did well with this challenge. x
Thank you! :)
I would love to see a video on your 10 euro challenge.
Great! :) I'll get to it as soon as I can!
I think you did very well with this challenge.
Thank you! I appreciate it!! :)
good effort. i think i would have kept a cup of the veg or 2 cups and made a sautéed potatoe n veg meal the onions and garlic
Great idea - I thought about making fried potatoes with onions, but your suggestion is much better. :)
You can eat the leaves of the rattich
I think the Batzen refers to potatoes cut in slices (a Batzen is a coin, I think?)
Uuuhh, that would be an interesting explanation as well! :)
Where are your proteins???
I don't know!!! :D No, wait, I actually do. Pasta has 13 grams of protein per 100 g, just like full grain bread, flour 10 grams per 100 g, and potatoes and rice don't have that much, but also a few grams per 100 g. Not to forget the veggies, which all have a bit of protein in them. I could have added a dish with beans, but I did that in the last budget challenge video, so I decided against it.
There’s some great info here, and I love seeing other country’s cuisines. But that weeks meals is very deficient in protein. I would have swapped the rice for beans or lentils, as you already have carbs in the potatoes and the pasta
I would like to see you spend the same amount of money for regular groceries to see how much you can get. I would include the same items you bought for price difference and then the extras .
Thank you for the suggestion, I love it! :)
It s cheaper, you mis calculated rice. At Aldi s organic basmati is around 1- 2 euros for 500g. In Germany probably cheaper.
Please add some protein in bean form and some nuts for minerals.
Heya, I know it's cheaper if you buy it at Aldi or Lidl, but I bought it at my local Zero Waste store, where it's a bit more expensive. But I don't mind. :)
The meals are far to low in proteine! You should add some meat, tofu, eggs, a meat replacement or beans/lentils.
Scallop potatoes
Alles sieht sehr lecker aus.
Dankeschön! :)
Looks good. High in gluten and carbs but not much protein. Doesn't seem a healthy balance
Nope, but then again, diets on a budget rarely are. :)
Radish greens are edible cooked
They are? Oh my God, yes, I'm so stupid, I watched June, from Delish, she cooked something with them. Oh, never mind, I'll use them next time. :)
Enjoyed 💕🩷💕 Subd
Woot, woot! :) Welcome aboard!
