I think it would be interesting to see you do a few weeks of just your usual way of shopping and cooking, without any restrictions, just to see how different or similar it’s been to your budget challenges.

@@CocosUniverse I know how much filming and editing alone takes, let alone add in all the extra planning for the challenges. It does make for great viewing, but I think it can also limit somewhat the creativity with the meals because your brain is already focused on staying within the budget rules or whatever parameters are set. That’s why I personally would love to see just the normal life.

Thank you for an EXCELLENT recipe series! I found it AMAZING how you were right on the budget. A couple of questions...since it is just the two of you when you are done making these meals, do you just put them in the refrigerator or do you freeze some; secondly I have always used tins/cans for beans because of convenience, do the dried beans you use taste better even though they are more work?

I usually just put my meals in the fridge and we eat them over the next two days. I've never had a problem with that, but if I were to cook just for me, I might freeze one or two servings per meal, just to be on the safe side. But only with things that are OK with being freezed - Dampfnudeln I wouldn't freeze. :)
About the beans: I don't taste much of a difference between the ones in cans and the ones I cook myself. It is convenient to buy them in cans, but often cheaper to buy the dried ones. So both are just fine. :)
