Thank you for showing such tasty meals. I think anyone having to manage on a tiny budget should try and find enough spare € for cheap multi-vitamin tablets. One tablet every second day would help them keep their health.
I want to say breakfast here in the USA during the workweek breakfast is not large. Everyday I eat a bagel and small coffee for breakfast, my Husband has a banana. When our kids are at home and we are all together breakfast can be larger. Sometimes I make the kids french toast (or pancakes) with eggs, & sometimes bacon or fried ham or sausage. Usually we will add a piece of fruit like bananas or cut apples strawberries
I just found your videos recently, and I'm really enjoying them! I made your maultaschen today with some apples from my yard (free!). I don't know how to make noodles, so I used egg roll wrappers and that worked really well! So delicious! Thank you. 🥰
Ooooh, I'm so glad you like the recipe!! I have to tell my mom immediately, she'll be thrilled!! :D May I ask where you're from? I'd like to tell my mom how international her recipe is now. ^^ P.S. So nice to have you around! :)
My husband just returned from the grocery store and bought strawberries...3 containers/$10. His fruit and cereal shop was about $40. Pretty typical in Florida.
This is such a great haul! I don"t think I could do this in New York, USA. 10 Euros equals $10.79 in the US and i can't figure a list under $25.00/week and even that is very difficult.
Absolutely love your channel! In NZ we have VERY limited supermarket chains...there are really only a couple which is a shame as they have monopoly and really dont need to compete for customers. I really miss Netto and Aldi from when when I lived in Denmark. Thanks so much for the frugal cooking ideas😊
hmmm.... no... breakfast is a big thing :D Actually I mean it is not to skip and needs to be satisfying (in my opinion). Some people may do intermitted fasting, but I think most of the germans do have a normal sized breakfast.
@@lilscorpio84 Yes, I am aware that most people eat something for breakfast, but honestly, I just can't stomach anything, if I have to leave the house early. If I sleep in, it's different, but early in the morning, all I want is coffee. And maybe a piece of plain bread. Nothing else. ^^
I follow someone in Australia who uses their Thermomix every video. It's amazing what that can do. I dont understand why it isn't being sold here in the USA. She had a KitchenAid also, so I know it's not because we have KitchenAid. You mentioned Vitamix, but Vitamix is just a fancy blender. That has a scale, it cooks, it is a good processor, it has recipes installed in it which it automatically creates for you, it has a built-in scale, it can mix dough. So much more than Vitamix which is awful in comparison. I wish we had these in the USA ,😕
Hey Amy! :) The Thermomix is not sold in stores, I think you always have to order it online, be it in Germany or the US. Here is a link with more information for the US market: www.thermomix.com/products/thermomix-tm6 I can honestly say I love that thing, although it is quite expensive...
I have two eggs and two peices of toast with my coffee in the morning. I could get away with two peices of toast and peanut butter if I was short on money. Its a way for me to have a small meal with my morning coffee.
Also …. Fast unmöglich mit 10€ die ganze Woche. Unglaublich was alles kostet.
@@arraybabe8514 I follow a lot of people in the US who do videos just like this. It is indeed possible but food prices also vary more across the US than in Germany. Here, it doesn't really make a difference where you are. I lived in Massachusetts before, that isn't exactly known for being the cheapest part of the US. I follow one channel where somebody did budget videos in NYC. Not a cheap place either. She did really well. Also, important to remember, the cheapest items are not always the same everywhere. From my experience, bananas are usually cheaper in the US, including the ones that are usually a premium price over here. Chicken is often significantly cheaper depending on where you are. Fresh corn is cheaper. Most dried beans are also cheaper because they are just a lot more common in a lot of recipes and with people from certain cultures. Just to name a few. Also, ethnic supermarkets when you have them around, never to be underestimated.
Your breakfast looks more like a french one... at least here in NRW breakfast contains Brötchen or Brot... one or two, with Käse, Wurst or Marmelade, Butter underneath... not really frugal
Yes, absolutely, I said that for most Germans it's a slice of bread with butter and marmelade or honey. Or, in your case, cheese and deli meat. But for me personally, a slice of bread or Hefezopf is more than enough. :) And if you need to be frugal, or have a very limited budget, you just have to cut out the cheese and the deli meat.
Hello from Canada 🇨🇦🍁 So creative and amazing you did this for just 10 euros! This is possible in Canada, too, just have to really watch those sales, clearances, points, coupons etc 👌 There's an awesome Canadian RUclipsr, Adventures in Groceryland. She does $23/ week grocery challenges and has build a pantry with that, too. It is unreal what she gets for that seemingly impossible amount. I think you might like her 😊
I second everything said here. You did a great job and I love the Adventures In Groceryland videos. She has been doing an incredible job with food and budgets
Well, technically you are right, the Angles and Saxons came from the area we call Germany today, but since they all went to the British Isles and English as a language developed there, the Anglo-Saxon world is nowadays seen as the area in the world where English is spoken (as a first language/mother tongue).
Live in the U.S. My husband and I have a boiled egg, fruit and coffee for breakfast. Those big breakfasts are for special occasions or weekends.
Thank you! I think I got the breakfast thing totally wrong. ^^

Here in belgium we eat slices off bread with jam or something else on it or cereals as breakfast and at lunch a warm meal
Thank you, Heidi! Just like in Germany - since we are neighbours, that makes sense. :)
The same in France...neighbours ...lol
Just found ur channel.. love the budget meals. U did an awesome job. Will be watching our other videos too.
Thank you, Samantha!! Glad to hear! :)

Strawberries would also be not cheap here, 3 to 4 € when they are in season, more when they are not. But apples are indead always pretty cheap here.

Ever had a pink lady apple?
Maybe...probably...not entirely sure. ^^

Thank you, that makes me happy! :) Maybe I should give the pink lady another chance. ;)

You are so lucky. This isn't doable in the US. Euro prices are so cheap! Just the kilo of apples would be over 10 euros here.
10 € for a kilo of apples?! Wow...Oo
Where in the US are you. Prices vary so much here from state to state
