Given how this game was not exactly received positively, it's highly unlikely we'll ever see a rerelease or a remaster in the vein of the recent Romancing SaGa ones, but damn if this art wouldn't look glorious in HD. Would love to take a stab at this again myself, I love off-beat games like this. Really impressive LP project, btw. This is probably one of the most complicated, even downright frustrating games to play, let alone complete with all characters, so you actually finishing this beast is one hell of a feat!
Given the minimalist design, making a remaster would be quite easy. All it needs is a UI overhaul, more detailed descriptions and some in-game tutorials to explain the more obtuse mechanics. I think a remaster is imminent at this point, as it's part of Kawazu's plan to bring all the games to modern platforms. The only games left are SF2 and US.
@@meryl17 I believe Kawazu even mentioned that a remake of US is actively being worked on in some interview around the time the Minstrel Song remake was released. Still can't believe that we're getting these SaGa remakes at all personally - I'm really happy about it, but I genuinely have no idea what prompted it, it's not like that series ever had much of a fanbase.
As a kid I hated this game but loved the music. Now that I'm older I wanna replay it because I finally understand how the other sagas work and love those ones

Turns out SaGa Scarlet Grace was more like Unlimited SaGa than any of the other games. It's remastered for PS4 and Switch and those versions are planned to be localized.
As a kid i was attracted by the box of this game, i loved the red color and the art style...but the game...geez i dropped it almost instantly because i couldn't understand anything that was happening

Worst Square game. Could've been so much better without the overly complicated mechanics and battle system.
