*Disclaimer *** Need Arnold transportation services truck drivers to confirm leaked news!
We just got an email saying they are closing the Grand Prairie terminal as of 4/30/24
I said well everything you said in the video has happened they are letting everybody go including the driver I had the dead head from Sussex Wisconsin all the way to Grand prairie Texas to turn in a truck
America is fighting hard for 3rd world country status
soon
Facts
You can count on democrats to get us there.
This is happening because there’s a driver shortage, Arnold transportation probably couldn’t find the drivers they needed to drive their trucks and the trucks were just sitting so went bankrupt
We are already 3rd world, we just haven't felt the full blunt yet, and most are still in a state of shock and will remain in that state.
I hate to see people lose their jobs. But the larger companies have been pushing a driver shortage lies for years. They have a high attrition rate, not a driver shortage. And then a lot of overseas companies got large in Chicago and other major cities having ghost logs. Using cheap labor. Either illegals or work visas . I could go on and on the list doesn’t stop. This is all by design.
They took the crop land now their coming for trucking it’s a plan for sure O/O
You can not drive a truck if you are illegal or on a visa .
@@danielstoyanov4359Some people think is that easy !!!
I work for Arnold and it's all over with

Sorry guys

@@ctfinneman at least if the shock made you shit yourself, you were in the best place. 😐
Horrible news, sorry drivers!!!!!😢😢😢😢
Another 1 bites the dust , trucking is in the toilet,
Yet we’re told this is the best economy in history and everyone has jobs.
My company is doing fine, I'm doing fine. We have the best economy in the world.
It’s an historically good job market. Those are the facts
@@omeezey11 not for the thousand who’ve lost their jobs in this short time and more to come. The resent amount of trucking companies shutting down is historic though.
@@rodedawg77 you’re doing fine until you’re not. I’m sure these drivers thought they were doing fine as well.
@@user-zt6bt8dp2cThe jobs would only be truly lost if the companies that used them went bankrupt or have no more loads. Guess what? Those companies just switched to other haulers for their loads. So one company goes bankrupt and another gains their business. I think that’s just how capitalism works. Right?
I’m doing everything I can to get my sh*t together so I can get out of this industry. Trucking is on life support and it’s not getting any better.
Sad but true, Im going to do the same 🙏🏽
trucking has been this way since the beginning, trucking depends on the economy, trucking is not going anywhere, unless some better tech replaces trucking
Foreign workers will completely take over just like meat processing.
@@DAViDD767What's the beginning?
I'm an Arnold Transportation driver. I'm dead heading from Michigan to Grand Prairie to turn in their truck.
So sorry for you to endure this situation. Be safe getting home
sorry to hear, be safe headed home
That literally sucks bro sorry to hear that safe travels home
@@oneman911 🤣…you are so silly, but I take it as you looking out for the drivers to make some quick cash
Are you going to get paid to deadhead back with that piece of shit ?
I’m now fully retired heavy duty diesel mechanic and OTR truck driver. When I got into OTR driving 16 years ago even back then they were screaming driver shortage, that was BS back then. Even as a rockie the trucking companies wouldn’t look at you unless you had 3 years experience. It’s hard to start out as a rockie driver. Then you need a couple of years experience to know how the game is played. The pay hadn’t changed in 16 years. Then add in ELD log books , DOT regulations and the DOT physical exam and the 70 hour work week being paid by the load. Then the BS at the shippers and receivers warehouses the list goes on and on. Life on the road for a OTR truck driver is one big shit show.
Going to get worse

Like Tyson Foods, many companies will be taking advantage of migrants who can be easily trained to help save money!
Tyson food Oslo hire illegal migrant to drive trucks too
I believe this wholeheartedly. My brother, who is a welder, has been talking about this for a while now. He’s not getting raises how he used to
Yep, until they start having bad wrecks & then they'll just let them go.
Illegal migrants. Get it right

Dropped my Truck yesterday at the Terminal. I was a local driver for Arnold in Houston up until yesterday Friday.
The CEOs are taking all the money and firing all the drivers
This is definitely the issue…they have already paid the higher ups what was left. Now, they can close the doors
I drove semi for over 14 years they made us suffer so bad they shut the truck so you couldn't run for air conditioner on your break you couldn't have heat in the winter time they made it impossible I'm so glad I got out cuz not one of them suffered they always had air conditioner in their office and always had heat
@@yamama7265I drive for them last year. The worst company I’ve ever worked for! They could care less about their drivers. Especially when that company from Canada bought them and started that refrigerated lane. Those East Indians was talking to us like 💩. Lying all the time. Robbing us for money I left. The only load’s they were getting was off of load boards cause they ran such a horrible business no one wanted to give them a contract

@yamama7265 that's when you pull trailer breaks but leave tractor break pushed in and put wheel chock on a steer tire letting truck run

Good point
Trucking is the canary in the coal mine.
Yes true I got let go from them a day ago!
If we dont have truck drivers, we dont have a functioning economy or a civilized world. No cars, no food, no fuel, nothing etc. Its time for truckers to get paid well and get the respect they deserve.
It’s gonna come back around, this is America 🇺🇸 give it time there’s more than enough companies out there still hiring and money is out there. Don’t be discouraged drivers! There’s always a way

Off topic I know but what’s going on with these companies wanting to pay .50 CPM as a company driver and they give you .55 for hazmat.. why are all the companies who do lease scam out of Illinois and keep getting away with this.
I’m coming up on 2 years with my CDL and as a whole truck drivers are so low valued it’s insane.
Yes I don't understand. They're very stupid ppl who are signing up paying for lease to own scams. I meet guy the other day paying $1300 a week just for his truck payment. SMH. Just be a company driver
@@facefromda704 I signed up for one with 5 months experience. They flew me to Chicago wine and dine you give you a nice truck and trailer so for that truck and trailer was about $1300 but you still have fuel and tolls.. didn’t end well at all and had to file suit.
Another thing what’s with companies taking escrow from company drivers?
I was there a few years ago. It wasn’t bad. New millionaire owner trying to turn it around. Nice guy. But I saw the writing on the wall. A lot of crap loads and bad routings. We were literally picking up scraps.
Same here. I worked there fro 2 years. Everytime you look, something was changing.
Averett has shut down their local and regional contracts and only doing OTR. i was told the drivers were each told go otr or quit.

15 year driver but got out of the business two years ago. Fortunately, I harnessed the power of a laptop when I wasn’t driving. Drivers, if you applied the same ethic you do at being on time and being safe, you can do a lot. Don’t think you’re just a truck driver.
Amen to that brother 👏🏽🙏🏽
My husband has 15 years as well and is tired of being treated unfairly. If you don’t mind what type of work are you currently doing?
Doing what with a laptop?
What do you do with a laptop, Sir?
What you do with laptop? Competing with 15 year olds on TikTok or another trucking guru on internet lol
Thank you, sir.
And the self driving push keeps telling us we have a truck driver shortage. Those 700 drivers must have been ghost drivers. Try telling that to the drivers putting food on the table
Even self driving companies are going bankrupt🤣🤣 foreign drivers are even pushing them out of business
Must be the $17 showers.
Arnold lost major DCs like Kohls. Apparently they're done.
They lost Home Depot too. A few years ago, my husband used to work for them and would push a lot of Home Depot loads
Times are changing, and for the most part: are going to be tougher, even for Truck Stops. Wish everyone to work harder to be free on debt.
I told people starting in 2020 to start getting their debt under control. I paid off my house in February, haven't had a car payment or credit card balance in years, and I keep about a year's worth of cash available as an emergency fund.
While my company runs a tight ship financially, nothing is guaranteed, so I'd rather prepare for nothing than suffer because I refused to.
The problem is, people didn't listen and then the rents and mortgage rates started eating their lunch. One of my friends has an apartment that's $2550/month; but during the Trump administration it was $1350. 😳 (Only a few years ago.)
@@sbrazenor2 CONGRATS 👏 TO YOU, YOU ARE A WISEMAN

Moving trailers, mostly empty trailers, is what we were kinda doing at deboer transportation out of blenker, wi before the company was sold & shutdown. Not saying this is gonna happen to arnold transportation, but i'd start putting in my resume with other companies NOW if i'm one of these drivers. #IJS

No big loss
When I check in at customers I'm the only driver without open toed shoes on. Luckily I've been out here 24 years and all my shit is paid for. The great reset in taking place.
At least some of these later companies are actually notifying their drivers and trying to get them home like this one and the video you done after this of the California company
It's all about Survival right now in Trucking... There Have always been Ups and Down in Trucking but this Time around it Feel Very Different..Not optimistic About things getting better anytime Soon...This might be the New Normal in Trucking.
This is new normal in the whole economy. Majority of people are simply not needed to the top 1%. They prefer us all under ground anyways.
Check the Yuba yard, many trucks sold. Was told 200 as well when I was let go. Used freight volume but then bought up a something that happened 6 months ago.
So much for the Trucker Shortage. Its really terrific to Watch these larger companies Who Support ATA. Go down in flames By the Rate cutting, And Lobbying for rules and regs that do nothing but impede service and make our Highways unsafe.
I remember When Arnold Transportation Group. Was a group of Companies over 30 Years ago. You had Silver Eagle 🦅 Transportation along With Raven Transport Jacksonville, Florida, Lebarnold ,Camp Hill PA, Dalworth Freight, Dallas/ Fort Worth, Texas, and New Penn Motor Express ( Union Carrier) Lebanon, PA. They Were Brought out By Roadway in the Late 1990’s but They Sold The Arnold Transportation Group back to Their Original Owners. But Kept the New Penn Motor Express Division.
Arnold was Partners with U.S. xpress
And Swift has US Express
@@RiZenAsHKnight owns Swift which owns USX
New Penn was part of it years back from what I was told by others. I was a new Penn driver.
Looking on tenstreet. Some of the job descriptions for newer drivers (which are fairly explicit) estimate 1800-2200 miles per week, down from 2200-2500 not too long ago. Is this part of the general slowdown in the economy and, therefore freight? Or a bottom break even point, and these companies wang to keep the fleet moving and try to ride it out (no pun intended)?
Less traffic!
O boy, not good!😮
Margins too thin in trucking and management wont give up a dime of pay = total implosion.
Hi Alex
Unfortunately this is exactly what has to happen in order to get this back in control. The industry has been getting by with bad business practices for years while still trying to grow. These are simply zombie companies that Unfortunately have to go like many others to come. I hate to hear of any of our brothers and sisters losing jobs but this type of situation balances the industry and forces companies to balance their books or fold completely. Wish you all the best and will be praying for you all!
Key word 'DEBT,' I'm working for an boss with no debt and he is laid back and chilling.
That’s what bankruptcy is for…gotta learn to play the game

Quantity over quality;
Recall the safety coordinator's speech
During orientation a dozen years ago or so
He said to a class of 30 or so:
In six months 20 of you will still be driving
In one year 15 of you will still be employed in trucking
In two years 3-5 will still be on the road
The name of the game is attrition
You will adapt or die
Businesses are like a ecological system so they come and go. The trucking industry is and always will be cyclical in nature and in most instances can be used to verify economic times. I feel bad for the drivers but if they have hustle in they're D.N.A they will always land on their feet . We're not being told the truth about the economy and this whole soft landing the Fedis hoping for is turning out to be a hard landing for trucking especially for the owner operators. Thank you Mutha Trucker News for you honest reporting .
