In this video you will learn one of the basic movements on the rope and how you can apply it. This pattern will end up increasing your mobility and fluidity in your body which will end up aiding in any aches or pains that you might feel. It's a natural movement pattern that most of us are not taking advantage of. Tim walks us through a similar pattern where we don't even need a rope so that we can reap the benefits from this movement wherever we are. Try it out and let us know how you feel! Развлечения
Real pleasure spending time with you Josh, nice to meet someone who fell in love with this practice like I did and gets what it can do for our movement 💫
Much love to everyone out there experimenting with the figure-8s ♾👍🏼
This was fascinating. Definitely checking out your site.
Hey, so cool to see you here Tim! Didn't know about your channel, but I used to follow some of your stuff way back!
Fantastic and inspiring!! xo from Canada
Definitely needs a part2 !
Facts
I second this
Look up David Weck/the Weck method. Tim is likely a student of his stuff.
This is wild....yesterday I was running a trail twice as far as I have run all year, over two hours, and towards the end my stride was getting short and tight. Instead of stopping to stretch my legs, I loosened my shoulders and started using this figure 8 pattern (not having ever heard of it before today). Voila my legs loosened felt 100% better and I finished with a big smile.
I love how ideas coelesce for us in parallel....
wow that's great to hear. Funny how natural it really is...
I made her smile
Man I've got 25 feet of rope just lying around and you're telling me it can make me fitter? Hell yeah! Thanks for showing me the ropes.
haha easy bro!
My workout schedule for the day just changed. 100% more rope videos.
haha know the ropes
YES ! More on this. I've been using a rope about a month & the comments on fluidity really clarified some patterns for me
Part 2! 🔥🙏
Down for a part 2!! Love always discovering new movement patterns through you guys
Great share. Thank you brothers. I’ve been practicing with the Rope for the past 6 months or so now and have found huge benefits with it. Tim’s courses are excellent his ability to teach and help his student understand through use of metaphors and precise instruction are phenomenal. I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about it to take that thought and act on it.
Happy Flowing.
Rotational movements are the best. I have used maces for years, but I never thought about getting a rope! Brilliant!
Part 2 of rope patterns please! Love this so much!
Strength Side 💪 I'm obsessed with mobility and feeling good. Another video introducing a specialist to help this community feel good. Every guest you feature has impacted my life as far as my brain connecting and activating muscle groups. When I get connected and muscles are activated, all the vocabulary like flexion make sense. I can go on and on, but thank you
I've got to thank both of you for my rope flow journey. Josh mentioned this in his monthly email over a month ago and I started checking out Tim. This has been an awesome journey these five weeks. The rope shows you the way of flow and can target the whole body.

The figure 8 pattern in the hips is the foundational weight shift for stability and power transfer we use in Aikido (and probably other martial arts). I do very similar movements with the Jo or short staff- Thanks for the rope version!

Yes, please do your version of the rope tutorial. I think swinging is a very good addition to any exercise schedule. Personally, I practice staff and sword swinging once or twice a week, and rope would definitely be a great addition.
I felt the need for this movement but did not thought to use a rope. Thanks for sharing. On your channel i was inspired to stop moving in same boring patterns and explore all the movements my body can do and enjoy new discoveries of movement patterns. Got my rope from Tim this past Monday and have been putting in work with it every day. Got the overhand / underhand sneak down. Today just started learning the dragon roll. I never thought getting smacked in the head could put a smile on my face lol

Love it! I'll check out his channel. Can't wait for upcoming videos on rope swinging.
Bo Staff movements and many other martial arts weapons training also use this figure 8 movement to strengthen before going into more advanced moves. I love the feel of the flow when you get into just moving around a staff and will definitely try the same patterns with the Rope soon!
