  • Vada curry usually requires onion and garlic but i have recreated this dish without onions or Garlic. You can deep fry the dish if you want but i prefer baking it to reduce oil. Since it goes inside the Gravy it really does not matter if you bake it or deep fry it. It is usually served with Set dosa.

    Can we steam the vadai instead of deep fry or air fry?

      Hare Krishna. I'm not sure if it will taste the same 🙂 Usually it's made with leftover vadas

    How much channa dal?

      1 cup. When it's soaked it increases in volume. If vada is excess you can have as a snack😊
