Great video as ever...one of the great conundrums with this make and model is the sluggishness of the gearbox...it can pretty much match the behaviour of some of the Mitsubishi's I've owned.
Gear selection over a full car range is an idea for a video of comparisons across a lot of today's hot hatches.i

I've got a CLA250 4Matic. Took it to a very reputable tuner in Cornwall and they couldn't get it to Dyno when mapped. Anyone else had this issue?

I tell you what I would like to see an RS3 built by VRS pushing over 1,200HP and see you "Calvin" drive it, perhaps that would change your mind on the RS3. I have a 2020 "Sedan, because I am here in the US" . Like to see VRS across the pond put up some competition for IROZ here in the states. Hank Iroz's RS3 just ran 8.0 flat 1/4 mile, he has several customers breaking into the 8's.

@@CalvinsCarDiary North Carolina USA here Calvin. If you are ever stateside on the east coast try to hit the Carolina beaches, Hilton Head, Outer Banks, Charleston ect..... Here in NC close to either Charlotte "city I am closest to" or Raleigh "state capital" , seriously nice cars everywhere. See supercars, old classics ect.... daily. You make it to NC let me know, our car groups here I am part of have some seriously nice cars and 2 top notch local tracks available to run out cars, always a blast.

I had a 2016 A45 FL, it was all standard. As they stand they are not actually that fast in a straight line. I have an old Saab 9000 2.3T Aero and its quicker than the A45 overall. All the software updates needed every other month were doing my head in, so got rid of it. Sad thing is, a A220d with the 2.2d and a BRABUS upgrade kit is faster than the A45 !.

I can concur the standard A45 gearbox is dog shite maybe if the tcu tune was about a couple of years ago I might have kept the car, into golf r now 500+ BHP Tvs gearbox tune is unreal wish I’d gone TTV5 tho but then again we are always looking for more power, cracking video 👌
