  • I installed two sets of axles this week, one in each car. I changed my mind on adding the part numbers this time. I think I will buy a set of Moser axles for the Mustang so Ill add that to the final parts list video.
    Put questions for the ECU install in the comments, I will be working on that video soon. Thanks for watching and leave a comment if you like the vid.

    Keep up the videos! I'm learning a few things for the swap I'm working on: 2.3t/t5 in a 1961 sunbeam alpine. I appreciate you putting all the part numbers in the videos.

      That's going to be a wild ride. There used to be a blue sunbeam with a 2.3/t5 waaay back like 20years ago. It looked like a blast.

      I keep getting sidetracked on stuff not worth doing a video over 😂 I have a goal but that deadline is approaching fast

    Sweet man glad that the drive shaft is going to work out for you, I had to run dual sized u joints on mine , the shaft was 1310 front and back and the yoke was a 1330 but it worked out perfectly fine with no vibration. I can't wait to see the pinto go down the track, its going to be stupid fast when you throw some serious power at it because that 347 is nuts in the pinto

      I did notice there isn't any weights welded on this one so that might be an issue later I think it'll be just fine for 99% of what I'm doing

      @@2300gearjammer there isn't any weights on mine either but it is really smooth going down the road with no vibrations whatsoever, the first drive shaft I put on it vibrated like crazy, that is why I went with this one and it works flawlessly . I believe that u wont have any vibrations either, when I bought mine I asked the guy about that and he said that it was a good shaft with no problems and he was right. They've already been tested 😜 so that is a bonus 😜

    Don't have any questions about the PiMP because I'm sure Shannon at Stinger is pretty thorough. But I'm subscribed and looking forward to tagging along with your install.

      People certainly miss things on the install though. It's me, I'm the people that miss things. 😂

    If you want your wheels to look somewhat rusted on the pinto sand it down to bare metal and put a ammonia and water mid on the bare metal

    I wish there were more of us out here in Detroit. Me and my buddy are out pounding the streets and never get to play with other 2.3's. Gets boring beating on v8 guys all nite. Smacked 2 4.6 stangs and 1 5.0 guy. Then an ST guy got confused and didn't know mine is bigger 😂🤘. I can't wait to get a tune. My gnari keeps glowing red no matter what I tweet in the tune. I have 3" down pipe and a cut out and that helps spool and boost but still glows red. I NEED SOME TUNE HELP. THERES DODGES OUT THERE THAT I CANT TOUCH! I NEEEEEED TO SNACK ON A KITTY AT LEAST ONCE 😎🤘

    Great videos, I am working on a 1978 mustang II . Original 2.3 4sp car. I recently pick up a parts car 1987/88 Turbo coupe for the engine and 5sp. Plan is to build a strong daily driver. Question on the rear end any suggestions have access to fox body rear end, possible ranger rear end also. Also any suggestions on ecu micro squirt or ? Thanks for all your helpful videos

    Can you get spacers behind the C clip eliminators instead of wheel spacers?

    • @young11984
      @young11984 2 года назад +2

      The outer shell of the C clip eliminator has the seal in it and rides on the lip at the flange but yes a spacer can be machined and pressed on to widen the track width as long as it doesnt cause the brake drum to be far enough out to miss the shoe

    • @2300gearjammer
      @2300gearjammer  2 года назад

      Yeah I was just mad and didn't have raw material on time to whittle out a spacer. I put that on the list too.

    when you get your ECM in what did you use for crank position? currently building a 2.3 turbo with a microsquirt and im having a hard time with crank signal, for reference its in a 93 ranger so the stock balancer cannot be used

    • @2300gearjammer
      @2300gearjammer  2 года назад

      In my ranger I used the original Stinger PIMP and kept the same stock crank sensor and ignition.
