- We are knocking out the first dyno trip on the new engine and it went about as expected. It stayed together which is always the main thing and we get to send out a shirt to somebody that guessed exactly on the money.

Its funny how while looking for Bronco 2 2.9 MegaSquirt information/data i come across this channel. This being the 2nd video ive watched (purely daydreaming) and get nothing but positive vibes from both. Regardless of me not trying to build a 400hp 89 B2, i have respect for a guy who not only has built (mutiple I'm sure) a bad ass 2.3 furbo Mustang, but also for having such a positive attitude attitude about it.
This makes me want to build a 2.3 for my fairmont.

Using the horsepower formula, 338 lb.ft. at 5500 extrapolates to almost 496 horsepower at 7700 rpm. My guess was 498. I'll take my t-shirt in black, large please.
I like the dyno for debugging a combo but dont care for numbers just for verifying clean pulls, the track is where we pour the power to them anyway. Good numbers on a dyno means nothing because in my experience, what happens on the dyno dont always happen at the track😂

I was way off (171). I used 504 because that’s what Kevin’s SVO made with the 2.3 and 26 pounds boost, Bo Port cast iron head… etc
Well no more guessing for me. Too many variables. 5200 rpms? I am going to call you out as a sandbagger. We didn't even see the screen or printout. Oh you forgot to factor in sea-level, was running 87 octane, tires were wrong size, I didn't lubricate my hubcap gaskets and muffler bearings. Glad I can afford to buy a t-shirt. I got a wiring harness (ron francis) wondering if you have 84 svo wiring diagrams (looking for what wires run to the dash from ecu) anywho awesome sauce video!
My ms1 would reset when my plugs would get worn. My ms3 doesnt do that i just get a misfire. Make sure your plugs are reaistor type helps alot.

I just started following you and have question for you on 2.3l mustang.
my boat with a 2.3 liter was doing the same thing ....full throttle ..shut down full throttle shut down again .over and over. took me 5 years to figure out the tach was shorting out and killing the coil !!! runs like a raped ape now !!!
What do you do with crankcase pressure ?

aw man i think i was pretty much with your guess which was 422 rwhp and u said its done 430 and that was your guess so I should get a tshirt as well 🤪 422 rwhp is what my pinto made on the dyno n/a . Yeah if u would have been able to do a full pull you would have made around our guess and u got to win your tshirt the 353 guy gets his tshirt and now i get me a tshirt then we all 3 can be called The T Shirt Bros 😂🤣😅
