I had build a stroked 2.3l on a turbo coupe years ago. 75mm TB made it idle high went to a 60mm TB and it idled better after that just chased vacuum leaks to get right.
How did you get the tfi to work? I did a holley dominator on my xr and couldn't get it to fire. Called holley and was told the because it's a batch fire it will not work. The 5.0 distributor is a sequential is why it works on it.
Ck CV/PCV hose to can in block under intake M, pull dip stick&ck4pressure, CV can&hose are Gold!!! Ck AICV on TB, wiggle test connection. Ck +&-, listen clicking. Sounds like it may be stuck open. Not on or off but has a controlled dwell opening. Closed loop is comp designed to function at 192f. NA them in Fi system?160X/180X 192 Correct! Turbo Fi Lima likes 200deg. To Cold wears #1 Cyl! Oxy sensor requires a red hot exaust. Use DVM in mil V range & propane torch to bench test Oxy sensor. What throttle body are U working with and cam adv? Did you time it at 10initial Degwith elec adv plug removed? It will add 20deg replaced. 😂 🎂 Great proj&Vids😉

The Holley Terminator or the 2.3l or both.

Idk. I just used there adapter cable to the tfi distributor to the holley terminator. It worked had no problems

I checked for that.i had the same problem when running a 4 barrel carburetor . had to back both throttle blades way off
