So happy to have found your channel several months ago. Would be extremely grateful if you could do an episode regarding allergies to protein and wanting to try to gett your dog off or semi off of full kibble diet. There is a slew of info regarding raw diet options but not for dogs with allergies.

I knew most, but surprised to learn of the peas and avocado concern. Are mushrooms not toxic? I’ve read celery is a no no as well if stalks are not cut into small pieces. Concern being the long strings on stalks can wrap around intestines. What say you Dr. On these things? Oh…huge thank you for your channel and sharing all you do.
Thank you Doctor Jones. I was surprised at the peas. I include some V Dog kibble in my dogs diet, and the first two ingredients are “Dried Peas, Pea Protein”! I have even added them to his homemade stew. So thank you so much for the advice. Also, I thought garlic was on the list along with the onions. I never add either of those to his food. Yes!!! I KNEW IT about pea protein! It’s the main ingredient in grain free dog food- and has horrifically injured my dog. Phytates stopped zinc absorption- he ended up with dunc deficiency, took almost a year to get proper diagnosis- then that turned into Zinc-related Sebaceous Adenitis - so for the last 2.5 yrs my beautiful standard poodle has been cycling in and out of bald, skin and nose and eye infections, etc. Bathing him weekly, shedding “casts”- Honestly, I do not wish this on any dog, or dog owner and I absolutely was certain it was the first five years of his life on grain free top brand with Pea protein but vets were not helpful. Thank you so much. He’s now on duck and potatoe kibble and cooked beef and liver. The kibble will go again this winter, weaning us both off the carbs again. 🤦♀️😎❤️
