When I got up to over 400 Lbs I used to drink a lot of whole milk. Now I have cut my dairy back. I still consume butter, heavy cream in my coffee and a limited amount of cheese. But I have given up drinking milk and eating copious amounts of cheese. When I eat too much dairy I itch now. BTW as of this morning I am down to 233 Lbs.

Long story short. My wife in one day went from completely healthy to being completely incapacitated for 10 months with nausea & vertigo. She saw numerous specialist, had every scan and lab test run and in the hospital several times; they were saying it was in her mind. They had NO CLUE. She was in the hospital at 96 lbs and being fed Ensure (milk based) when the results of a previously ordered test showed she suddenly developed a SEVERE intolerance for anything dairy; casine, whey, etc. My eyes were opened to the health care system and not in a good way. Between hospital stays, scans, tests; many tens of thousands of dollars was paid. However, the $300 lab test that found the problem was not paid because it was ordered by a Naturopath.

WOW! Thank you for sharing Bruce!! I sure hope your wife is feeling better now🙏
Tomorrow will be my first day dairy free. I sure hope that helps me with inflammation. I've already cut out all added sugar, gluten and I've been doing keto so I was still using butter and heavy cream, and my inflammation had gone down a lot after quitting sugar and gluten, I had also stopped heavy cream in my coffee and I just started having some heavy cream in my coffee again. All of a sudden inflammation is back and my typical knee inflammation came back. My back hurts so much and I have no energy and just want to be in bed all day but I can't because I have 2 high school kids to take to school and a 5 year old I'm homeschooling. I really pray cutting out dairy 100% will help me feel better🙏
I don't my medical insurance so I can't just go to the doctor and this body pain is so scary!!
Wish me luck and thanks again for sharing. I think I'm going to look for a lab to get the test your wife got that gave you the answer she needed. D9 you know wh a t the test name is to see if it's the dairy? I will read your post again, I'm sure I missed it 😅 I'm to tired of not being able to sleep right with so much pain.

I started on Keto in March 2021. I had stopped diary except for fatty cheeses and heavy cream. I was using heavy cream ( a lot of it) daily for over a week until the inflammation in my knee joints became unbearable. I had no idea it could have been due to my heavy cream consumption until our friend Kevin S suggested for me to try getting off the cream for a week. Well, that was the root of the problem alright and now I understand why. But I am sad because heavy cream tastes soooo good! But I need to walk without pain so I made the right decision.

Unpasteurized is the best. For adults too! If it didn't have so much sugar, I would drink it more often. I personally believe its the killing of the good bacteria in pasteurized milk that's the problem and why it causes so many problems for people. I've even heard that dairy intolerant people can drink unpasteurized milk.

The pain was so severe that I was miserably in pain 24-hrs a day. I couldn't sleep or do my job for almost a year. I had an MRI done and started fearing that I might have to go for a lumber spine surgery or end up on a wheelchair at some point in my life. I stopped adding yogurt to the Tandoori chicken which I was eating for super every night, and my pain was gone starting the next day without yogurt. When I tried drinking a glass of milk about a month later, I would get severe pain all over my body as if I was suffering from Fibromyalgia. I am totally convinced that dairy in any form is like poison to me. Thanks to all the info from RUclips channels

I gave up milk for 45 years until I learned about the difference between the two caseins: A1 beta-casein. Milk from breeds of cows that originated in northern Europe is generally high in A1 beta-casein. These breeds include Holstein, Friesian, Ayrshire, and British Shorthorn.
A2 beta-casein. Milk that is high in A2 beta-casein is mainly found in breeds that originated in the Channel Islands and southern France. These include Guernsey, Jersey, Charolais, and Limousin cows.
A1 casein promotes a terrible gut response while A2 does not.

I'm 44 yo now and cured my allergies or as close as possible by drinking a small amount of raw milk from grass fed cows 2 to 3 times every day. I did carnivore for a couple months before getting knocked off the wagon, but even on the diet I didn't give up milk. I absolutely love it. I still felt so much better than on a carb rich processed diet, and I noticed a huge reduction (actually elimination) of my joint pain and inflammation. As I am starting to get back on the carnivore diet I may at some point decide to cut out milk, but I'm not sure I will fully give it up. I really do just love milk.
I am NOT recommending anyone else drink milk or going against anything Dr. Berry is saying. I am purely an advocate of individual health and my individual experience may or may not resemble anyone else's. I didn't have any kind of symptom that would have made me think milk was an issue, so I didn't cut it out completely.

Dr. Berry, your advice has changed my entire perception of health and fat loss. However, this video was a revelation to me. For YEARS, I have had horrific finger infections. Chronic paronychia. In 2017, I had surgeries to completely remove 7 of my finger nails and their nail beds. I also had crescent incisions in each of those fingers. For a very short time, it seemed like there was an improvement. Now, I have lost all of the 7 nails that had tried to grow back, and have recurring infections again. What I just realized during this video is that my consumption of dairy products had increased before the surgeries and after. I am ashamed to tell you just how much cheese and ice cream, etc. that I have been eating. My weight had gone up to 141, and I am 5’ 7” tall. For the past three days, I have been doing 2 eggs, some bacon, and steak, with OMAD. I am 138 as of this morning. I drink black coffee only in the mornings, one cup of green tea and water the rest of the day. I am in optimal ketosis, according to the strips. But, the most AMAZING result is that already my fingers have started to improve! I will continue this journey and hope that I might actually experience complete healing of my hands, as well as get back to my best weight (between 117 and 125). ALL of the 8 doctors, dermatologists, and surgeons that I have seen have assured me that there are no options left to me. NONE ever mentioned my diet or asked me, “What are you eating on a daily basis?” I believe it was Hippocrates who stated, “Let food be thy medicine, and let medicine be thy food.”

Thank you for this information, Dr. Berry. Today is Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, and I'm in the middle of GI distress that is keeping me close to the porcelain throne constantly---and I just had a cream cheese-loaded fat bomb at the end of my OMAD today. Yet another genre of food that I have to eliminate from my diet. I was keto for three months, but after having COVID last month, and being unable to eat for almost six full days, I realized when I did eat again that all raw vegetables are out because my system can't handle them.
Now I'm almost 100% carnivore, but will have to totally eliminate dairy except ghee (DEEP SIGH). As my closest friend has said about herself and me (we both experience GI distress), "About all that's left for us is water and air, and the quality of those in this age is highly suspect!"

I can get away with small amounts of butter and good quality cheese (for a "treat" more or less) but I try avoid dairy as much as possible because I feel better than I have felt my whole life. My hashimoto's is going into remission, I have energy for the first time in my life, and I'm HAPPY again. Definitely take what this doctor says seriously. Thank you so much for making this video! I can't believe in all my years that this is the first time I'm hearing this about dairy. I always knew about lactose intolerance in people, but I never realized until seeing this video that the proteins in milk could actually cause inflammation in the joints and skin. At least anecdotally in our family I believe you are spot on.
A few months ago I started getting hooked on iced coffee, but the only way I can drink it is with a ton of half and half. I started drinking it every morning in the largest size cup (I think 24 oz. or more) which meant a LOT of cream. A few weeks later I suddenly started having really bad aching pain in my lower back and right shoulder (with no acute injury to either). I assumed I must have slept the wrong way, but the pain never went away from that point on. Ironically, for the last week and a half I got really busy and skipped the iced coffee in the morning, and noticed about a couple of days later that the pain in both areas started to go away - it's now been completely gone for the last 3 days. I had assumed that the heating pad and Motrin (which I'm now no longer taking) were what finally resolved it, but today I just saw your video and am stunned to think that all the cream I was adding to the iced coffee might have been what brought it all on in the first place!
Then I realized that my son also just started drinking iced coffee the same time I did, and the same way I was preparing it because he also liked it that way, and shortly after his forehead started breaking out with acne (he's 16 and his face had been completely clear up to this point). Likewise, my daughter all of a sudden started drinking a ton of milk when she was around 11-12 and the same thing happened to her. She's now 21 and besides acne, has also had a lot of various inflammatory conditions of her skin.
I shared your video with both her and my son today and and they are both going to try to stop all dairy for a couple of weeks to see if it helps their skin. Both of them have been to dermatologists (my son recently because of the acne) and it's hard to believe that the doctor never thought to mention dairy to either of them as at least a potential contributor to their issues.
Your video also now has me wondering if it's the MILK in milk chocolate, rather than the chocolate itself, which may be the real culprit with teen acne.
Anyway, this may well be one of the most helpful health type videos I've ever seen! Thanks so much for this helpful information!!

It is possible to do an update video about this but taking into consideration milk type A1 vs A2? I could not tolerate milk my entire life… but during my time in Florida, I manage to find a local farm that had A2 type raw milk and the experience was totally different. I could even drink a glass without any problem. One of the biggest difference between A1 milk and A2 milk is the betacasein protein. Most milk or all commercial milk in the western side is A1 type (genetically altered milk due to cross breeding), A2 milk is from cows that still have “their original” DNA and not cross breed, so to speak.

As long as they have "access" to pasture, the Gov't allows them to be certified as grass fed. I can only assume they are at least eating organic feed. PS: the same for chicken farms. The ckns can walk thru this little window, down the ramp to a fenced in grassy area. But I've never seen a single ckn outside. Its sad. I'm lucky that I live in a rural area where there are small farms and farmers markets. I buy my proteins from them.

Tip for coffee drinkers: At one time I used a lot of heavy cream in my coffee. I tried switching to black coffee but that was an utter failure. Slowly over time, I gradually made the switch to heavy cream to grass fed butter. I'm now very slowly reducing the butter. It's been a slow but easy process and I've continued to enjoy my morning coffee along the way. The plan is to come close if not completely eliminating it. I like the idea of making progress.

15:39 Noooo. This video made me reflect on the fact that during the time I stop drinking milk (for no specific reason) my head stopped making a ton of dry skin that flaked into my clothes and glasses. Ever since I was in elementary school, my head would be dry and flaky all the time. Only round the time I stop drinking milk for a moment was when my head was clear for the first time in my life. A while ago, my brother went shopping hungry and brought a bunch of cereal for everyone. This is when I started drinking milk again and now my dry skin is back. This video made me connect the dots but, man, this is disappointing. I love milk so the idea of giving it up is upsetting to me. I'm fasting now so I guess when I refeed, I should avoid milk to see if my dry skin goes away again.

I accidentally left the stove burner on low and on the shelf above the stove I had a container with butter in it over a period of several hours it melted the butter into liquid and I was very surprised to see several droplets of what appeared to be milk I thought right then this is not pure fat. I'm a 77-year-old male and in my younger years I drank all the milk and ice cream that I wanted but I have noticed as I'm getting older I do not think that dairy products agrees with me like it did when I was younger. Until one day the dry hands spread to my forearms, then a itching rash on my legs then spread to my stomach. Cutting to what I did. Went on a sibo diet. No milk , no flour, no corn or potatoes, Tomatoes or beans or sugary fruits like melons/ grapes. For two weeks. Just Free range Beef , Pork, Chicken, an Wild Caught Fish. Then most vegetables except Tomatoes & Beans. Also cut out high sugar fruits for only two weeks. I fasted in the morning drinking only tea & lemon & switching to electrolyte drink homemade with a drizzle of organic apple cider vinegar. One meal at 4-6pm with a probiotic half way through the meal. By day 4 my skin started to stop itching/ eczema & bowel movments returned to much younger days . After two weeks I wanted a glass of Milk so bad. However I found out that whole milk that is Homogenized/Pasturized / altraviolet treated killed off all the natural enzymes in the milk that help the body digest the sugars. I'm from Arizona no dairy farms close by. I wanted to try raw milk , found frezzed dried RAW COW & GOAT Milk week 3 know bathroom visits are great an the eczema is practically gone. Great info, thanks for sharing!
Can you please do a Ghee vs Beef Tallow video comparing the benefits of using each one for cooking and adding to lean meat to fatten up the meal? That would be amazing😁

Thank you, Dr. Berry. I stopped drinking milk. I can't tolerate yogurt anymore. A little cheese is fine. I was very, very intolerant with ice cream, now i know why. I'm just lactose intolerant, and I eliminated dairy from my diet. 😊

I've been eating a low calorie "clean" diet, mostly organic and nothing processed, but simply CANNOT lose weight. Thanks to you I now realize that the greek yogurt I eat for breakfast and the half and half in my coffee might be causing inflammation and weight gain. I'm going to cut them out and see what happens.
