I love this! Thank you Cesar for opening this topic! I have been making dog food for Eda, adopted 5 year old Swiss Shepherd, for two years. We mix up the experience but quinoa, steam broccoli, shredded chicken breast and sweet potato sprinkled with a little nutritional yeast and olive oil - a favorite in this household.. And one of her love treats? Chicken feet! What sweetness watching Eda patiently watch me just outside the kitchen (house rule) preparing her meal, listening to her smack her drooling mouth.... Love, love, love!
Our dog won't touch chicken feet. They are not picky eaters either more like a mobile garbage disposal unit but chicken feet? Nope. No way. Go figure right?
Te amo Cesar!! Espero un día conocerte eres mi héroe , mi ídolo en toda la extension eres de otro planeta❤ Saludos desde Austin Tx, gracias por todo mi amigo!
I try to limit how much dry processed food I feed my dogs (3 dogs, 2 are very large.) They start the day with Grass-Fed Beef and reconstituted Honest Kitchen Dehydrated Food. They get goat milk to increase hydration as a treat almost every day. For dinner they get Nature's Logic Sardine Kibble, sometimes with added goat milk or egg or some kind of gravy - one of the only dry dog foods that does not use synthetic vitamins. Some of the best treats I have found are Stella and Chewy's dehydrated chicken hearts. They get a soft boiled egg a few times a week. I do give bully sticks, gullet sticks and marrow bones as treats. Dogs are carnivores - they need meat and moisture! Love to Cesar - I love your information and you have helped us so much with our dogs over the years.
We grew a lot of pumpkins and I didn't know what to do with them all. I started cooking them in the instant pot (extremely easy!) and mix some in their kibble. They love it and I swear they are calmer from eating it. I can also buy a box of beef bones from the meat processing plant for $10! We've raised huskies for 30 years.
I feed my dogs with fresh chicken, vegetables, and grounf turkey with a little bit of good crockets. Also i exercise both of them , i walk both, twice a day for two miles each one❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Cesar. I've been a fan for a long time. I recently adopted a 3 year old whole female lab with 3 legs. I know the family that had her previously and they unwittingly taught her a lot of bad habits, like feeding her junk food that made her fat and also not keeping her in her yard, which is why I have her now. (The animal control office told them if they didn't find another more suitable home for her they'd take her from them and put her down.) So while I normally give Cesar the top grades across the board, I've been using a different approach with Flipper. (Named because one of her front legs looks like a T-Rex.) I use 8 Extreme Large Kongs/day to spread out her meals/food. I hide them all over the yard and the house, one at a time. So unless she's in heat, when her appetite for food lessens, all of her senses are in over drive throughout the day. She's always waiting for the next Kong installment, so instead of scarfing her meals down in 30 seconds, her one long "roaming meal" lasts the entire day and into the night. I am feeding her a high quality kibble supplemented with sardines, apples, carrots, broccoli, cooked cground beef, grilled chicken breast, blueberries, strawberries, and eggs. (I cook for her; I eat pot pies!!) And when I give her "snacks", it's broccoli, carrots, ground beef, chicken, etc. She's so food driven they ARE treats for her. So I've "tricked" her into thinking that her normal food is nothing but a varying array of treats all day long. Watching her find a "treat" and proudly bring the Kong back in her mouth is thrilling to me and, more importantly, to her. Instead of it just being a boring routine, feeding time has turned into an all day enrichment challenge. (I'm retired so I have the time to spend with her.) So mixed in with walks and playing with toys she has a busy day and sleeps well at night. (Then when she goes into heat, a decision I made to keep her whole to allow her natural hormones to keep her hunger in check and her weight down naturally, everything changes, and she naturally shifts her attention to boys vs food. Given the fact that she's a bit more limited in terms of walking -- she does great for short distances so I make sure I take her out more often, but there is still a limit -- I feel it's important to employ all the natural defenses she has against obesity. I don't want to spay her then have to starve her for the rest of her life just to keep her weight under control.)
Kibbles are actually incredibly bad for dogs. Have you ever read the ingridients? I've always fed my dogs raw meat, no grains and none of them ever had cancer or were ever sick. My pitties lived long pass the 10-13 years mark. My friends who feed their dogs kibbles and dog "food" have had cancer or some kind of illness. Dr Shawn Baker did an excellent interview with a vet from Australia. He has some very insightful informaton worth listening to if you are interested.
My 3 large dogs get cooked rice and slightly cooked mixed ground red meat plus heart, kidneys, liver with a few scoops of grain/cereal free kibble. They also get the odd rabbit. They're very healthy & fit, especially as 2 are OAP's in their twilight years. Thanks for all your valuable information over the years.
Started feeding my 2 pit bulls Dr Marty’s essential wellness and when I heat up the water to put in their food the both sit and watch until the 3 min is up after adding the water to their food and they are both drooling in anticipation. They love this food and have never responded to any other food this way. They also seem more energetic and have noticed they no longer seem to pass any gas at all like they used to do all the time with other food. Price is expensive but their health seems better so it’s worth it!!

Hello Cesar, great video as always! I've missed these type of videos from 2020-2021 you've made, love to see it :) Also a question: What is your opinion on raw feeding?
The video was informative, I have experienced the health benefits of cooking for my dog, she had liver shunts, when I took her to vet she told me my furbaby only had weeks to live, I found a recipe from the univ of TN & cooked it for her, she lived 3 plus years more. 🙌🏼💕. When cooking for the dog it’s important to include vitamins with omegas, calcium etc or include foods that provide this for your pet. Rice has no nutritional value, replace this carb/starch with a vegetable that will render more benefits. Thank you for the video 🥳💕.
The answer I've been waiting for! this will help me very much with my German Shepherds :) thank you very much Cesar! Much love and thanks as always 😊☮❤ P.S. your the best :) ☮❤
I feed my GoldenDoodle .. as a topper to his dry kibble.. ground hamburger, cooked white rice, green beans, steamed carrots and sweet potato, blueberries .. He Loves it!!
I love cooking up marrow bones to a broth, adding beef cheek and offal like liver and kidneys then cooking in rice and oats some squash and peas. All grains and veggies are low oxalate and gluten free. As for treats, sprats or dried fish skins, Paddywhack and dried cow face skin with hair on. Probably as u say..'dogs get to smell u prepare it & wait 4 it-which in turn, is teaching ur dog patience, even tho they don'tknow it..lol.'
Thanku 4 ur loving insight..🌟🐕💚✌️👍😊
Marrow bones…never thought about that. I’ve never seen them in the store. Thank you for the tips. I’m currently feeding beef liver, dark meat chicken with skin, small amount of green beans, peas & carrots.
Again, thank you for sharing your wisdom and your tips!
thank you for watching!
I have been watching you for as long as you've been on tv. My uncle Tom got RIP got us all hooked on you. I have watched you and your training techniques are correct. I have used them for years. My family is is on our 11th dog asher blue a blue merle cockapoo 7 months and we have our mix rescue 11yrs now and your techniques always work. We lost Moses our Brussel Grifon passed in April shy of his 20th. I have always had dogs growing up and my dad taught me techniques similar to yours and this is my 12th and 32yrs of marriage with 3 children this is our 5th dog. We always have 2 . We always get compliments on how well behaved they are and i always say dog whisper and say your name. God bless you and THANK YOU for your the being a blessing to our family. ❤
Thank you for all you do for dogs and their owners ❤
❤❤❤ Thank you Cesar for everything you do you have helped so many people when they have brought a puppy into their home. Thank you again
I love ❤️ you so much you make me cry . You are a gift from God.
Did you know he was on the verge of suicide he wrote a book about it. He is helpful to others he forgot about his old life. Only Jesus can help us.
Same! I feel the same. I watch to learn how to be a better person for my dogs and it's healing for me to hear him talk and make spiritual connections with our physical life with inclusiveness with our doggos.
Your tips are invaluable. Have watched you for years even tho i don't have a dog. But apply your principles to everyday life to keep myself calm & ability to communicate in a calm state.
Oh yes!!! This is exactly what I've been waiting for! Thank you Thank you Thank you ❤❤❤ brilliant blessing to the internet
Thank you for all the wonderful knowledge you share. Christ is with us. ✝️🔥🕊️
Helpful advice 🙏🏻 I’m grateful for. You’re right - every dog’s different - I take care of that.
I am so glad you answered this question ! 🥰 I have always wanted to ask you this. Thank you Cesar , Mucho Gracias 👍
You know what your psychology is not only with animals is also with people God bless you Cesar
Perfect video Cesar! great advice every time!❤
thanks!
Thank you for your passionate training.
EXACTLY what I feed my dogs!! For me it's turkey or chicken/rice and sweet potato. Thank you for the referral about the treats!
Yay! Glad you’re back with Ranch videos. Thank you for all you do.
I feed my dogs with fresh chicken, vegetables, and grounf turkey with a little bit of good crockets. Also i exercise both of them , i walk both, twice a day for two miles each one❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thx Cesar! My heeler Dukes appreciates you setting me straight with him. He became awesome 🐕🤠

(The animal control office told them if they didn't find another more suitable home for her they'd take her from them and put her down.)
So while I normally give Cesar the top grades across the board, I've been using a different approach with Flipper.
(I'm retired so I have the time to spend with her.)
So mixed in with walks and playing with toys she has a busy day and sleeps well at night.
I do the same. I make homemade dog food as well and put it on top of their kibble.
😢Bless you for giving your best friend, your dog, a wonderful life.
Wow that was the best advice for feeding food. Been waiting for a video about this. Thank you so much.😀🐶
My husky/pyrenees is now on an all raw diet and he has LOVED it! ❤
I love you programs and youtube . I have a rottweiler very smart dogs. I have train my dog from you. Ty amen 🙏 god bless you and family 😊
You are so awesome, Cesar. I’ve been watching you for years. You are so spiritual. I truly believe you are a high spiritual person who came here for a reason, and I think you know that. Thank you so much.
I've always seen that!
I learned to now exercise first!🤗❤️
This was so helpful. You need to do more of these videos, Cesar. I love learning from you. You are an expert. Thank you for all you do! I wish you we lived closer so I can take my furbabies to you.
I know more than ever by watching your videos!
❤❤❤❤ SO GREAT!! I we feed a raw diet! We do marrow bones & bully sticks at the end of the day! 🐩 Our dog is 13 year old now, she doesn’t walk to much! She just enjoys her life! 🐾🐾🐾
ITS cute how he talks about the things he gives to his dog.
Thank you Cesar! I learned so much from this episode and when to feed and give treats. I’m going to try the bones and meat.
FROM CHILE !!!! FANTASTIC THANK YOU !!!!🐕
Cesar, I so admire you and your insight. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.
Valuable information Cesar, your preparation of home food would be appreciated
Wrong information! Cooked? No raw is better, rice ? No dogs don’t need carbs, kibble is garbage.
Very poor information dogs don’t benefit from rice or cooking their food and kibble is the worst thing you can feed
@@RichardHorswell cooking food is good for dogs that are sore to their stomach etc and older dogs. Overall it won't hurt. Better human fresh food then the dog food.
So do you have a link to the recipe or can you provide that for us?
The answer I've been waiting for! this will help me very much with my German Shepherds :) thank you very much Cesar! Much love and thanks as always 😊☮❤
P.S. your the best :) ☮❤
I feed my GoldenDoodle .. as a topper to his dry kibble.. ground hamburger, cooked white rice, green beans, steamed carrots and sweet potato, blueberries .. He Loves it!!
What dry kibble do you recommend?
@@indiacoon2933 None. It's horrible stuff. Check out some of the freeze dried raw foods.
I used to cook for my shepherds they loved it. I am now going to cook for my Dutch shepherd and our mix pup. Both are rescues.
Thank you Ceasar! You the best!
I ENJOYED WATCHING THIS VIDEO ABOUT WHAT FOOD AND TREATS YOU GIVE YOUR DOGS❤️
I love cooking up marrow bones to a broth, adding beef cheek and offal like liver and kidneys then cooking in rice and oats some squash and peas. All grains and veggies are low oxalate and gluten free. As for treats, sprats or dried fish skins, Paddywhack and dried cow face skin with hair on. LOVE that you support healthy natural foods, processed foods are bad for humans and critters.
You are the very best Cesar!! 🥰
Great episode.
We love you Mr Cesar millan ❤💞❤
Fantastic video from the Boss! People please listen to this gold advice.🔥❤️
Terrible advice which is why he censors the comments raw diet no rice no kibble
@@OffGridDogs That’s not all he talked about though. Overall the video has solid info. I feed my dogs raw with no rice so I agree with you that is best food.
@@PackLeaderDogs And I agree that he had some good information in the video about how to feed just all wrong about what’s best to feed. And certainly what he’s feeding is better than just kibble. I’ve always liked Cesar because he focused on training the human so this incorrect nutritional information is disappointing
@@OffGridDogs I saw u working at a dog bag company
@@frankfranko9023 what’s a dog bag company?
YOU ARE AWESONE THE BEST CESAR TANK YOU❤🙏
I feed him right after he wakes up. He also eats dinner after we eat our dinner. He knows not to beg and no table feeding. He lays on his bed while we eat then he eats. He knows who is boss with food
Thank you , love you and all you do to help us be able doggy parents. ❤❤❤❤❤
Great information !
Thank you for all you do for our furry friends ❤ You are an amazing person, and the world is a better place for you being in it.
I learn so much from you. Thanks for making my dogs lives so much better ❤
Love and joy so true. ❤❤❤❤❤ love my doggie that belongs to my son. 😢
I buy fresh beef liver n chicken heart, dehydrate them, thinly sliced for the beef liver, whole heart, in the dehydrator for only 7 hours, n they are fantastic cheap healthy treats for our 5 dogs..keep refrigerated just in case, less than 3 dollars a pound at the store...same with chicken feet.
do you cook your dog food? I have been ending my puppy chicken heart and liver on top of kibble….use dinovite but not real sure he likes it…
Me facina aprender cosas nuevas de los perros grasias yo miro sus programas desde ase come 30 años ya asta nos salieron canas a usted y a mi😂❤
I would love to visit your place. I’m dog person. Years ago I had a Dalmatian, she was deaf also I’m deaf too. I used sign language and easy communication with her. 😊
Awesome finally a simple process for feeding and training your dogs thank you
Dios lo guarde,!!! Cesar y a s7 familia
I find myself drawn to your videos as if I were a dog owner, even though I've never had one. I have always adored dogs since I was a little girl. Despite being warned about the challenges of caring for them, I can't shake this deep love for dogs. With three daughters, it pains me to feel like something essential is missing from our family.
Go get a dog!! You'll be an excellent dog-mum
Can you talk about how much you feed your dogs? How many times a day? Do you mix Dr Marty’s dry food in with rice and meat or separate?
Dry food has preservatives. Feed raw. Organic Venison, ostrich, lambs liver, blueberries, broccoli, pumpkin. Marrow bones cut large, FRESH RAW is BEST Choice 🎉
@@victoriaprior5406 @rebeccam1977 Dr. Marty’s is freeze dried raw. NO preservatives. I do half dr. Marty’s half fresh raw mixed together 2x a day. You can do as Cesar does with the rice and meat. I rotate my fresh raw ingredients. How much you feed depends on dogs weight.
My soul dog passed at 18 1/2yrs old. No major health issues her whole life. Around 12-13yrs her eyes started to get cloudy. Vet said beginning of glaucoma, nothing we can do. Researched, added raw carrots to her meals every day and her eyes cleared up with no further issues! Only loss of hearing last few years and arthritis in hind legs her last 5yrs. but with supplements she didn’t get to where she needed some assistance till the last year. I’m doing the same for our newest fur baby. Best wishes.
Gracias Cesarrrrr!!! Eres lo maximo 😁. Saludos desde Venezuela!
I love how the dog appears immediately when Cesar opens the treat canister.
YHWH bless you Caesar, you are a true overcomer!!!! 🙌🙌
I’ve used Dr. Marty’s supplements for my dog with kidney disease and I love it. I didn’t know they had food!
Dr. Marty's is great but you'd have to be a millionaire to buy it. 😢
Thanks for everything you do for us and for your pack and dogs in general, Cesar. We home cook food for our dogs after having a dog with digestive issues, we just got in the habit and have always done that. My Irish Setter has a gorgeous coat, which I attribute to good cooking, or healthy ingredients. Nothing will help them come back if they are off leash and not in the dog park. They love to run. Maybe too much of a good thing and too much energy...!?
🐶 Recipe in replies below...
I make my dogs food. Once a month. I love cooking for my PoMeranian. Cooked,, divided, freeze it.... defrost in the fridge the night before. She loves it and she loves me
@Pedroandkalithemaligator6602
Gezz... why be a smart a$$, do u feel better about yourself now?
Sad thing is that you probably do.
What do you feed???
Do you warm it up for your pup or cooking on the stove? I'm just thinking about cooking for my pups bc one is 14 old and he's been eating lil bit of his kibble and want to try something else😢.
@pom-mom, do you warm up the food before feeding? What foods do you cook?
@@carolvogel2008
My PoM weighs 5 pounds.
I boil 10 pounds of boneless skinless chicken breast till cooked throughout. Steam or Boil: peeled carrots, sweet potatoes, fresh green beans.
Jasmine Rice (cooked and then rinsed twice very well).
Chopped all to Fine, Layered with the Chicken being 50% of the container and then freeze in square 4 oz ZIPLOC containers. 60 containers.
I defrost 2 of those in fridge the night before then warm in microwave (in a microvable dish) for just a few seconds before serving. She eats 1 at 8am, 2nd around 5 and she gets a couple few BLUE* BITS treats during day while learning or for active play. She also likes fresh blueberries. A couple of times per month I add a small dose tablet of Cosequin vitamin, for hip/joints.
She doesn't have but Pomeranian are prone to hip injury or hip dysplasia, so just for maintenance.
Yes I personally cook food for my dogs rice, grind beef, chicken, liver veggies carrots lettuce green leafy veggies combination of these foods alternately
Rice can be bad though very high on the Glycemic index. Leads to spike blood sugar.
Any filler is bad
and Arsnic
I love that Caesar because I cook for my dogs too. They eat basmati rice and all the organs. It’s fun and my dogs love it.
