At a local ford dealership the other day and they had one of these in blue with a white racing stripe. Not going to say who but some guy started dry humping it.
Damn even employees can’t buy this car at sticker.
This is the dealerships' gravy bonuses or sales award bonus from Ford. Ford wants to create an exclusive car, charges X grand above the standard model and makes only X quantity. They give the "rights to buy" to those dealers with stelar sales numbers. Some dealers probably got a few of these knowingly that they will sell for whatever "market value" pays which often is 10-20k over sticker. That's free money for the dealership that the consumers pay. Its a win, win, but your fucked over situation.

The only negative thing is the gearing ia so far apart. That 1st gear goes all the way to 65mph. Yea that helps with 0-60 numbers but on the street you can only use that once
Jeff Archer the 13-14 gt500 was the same but I think it was up to 62 mph, but that should make it even more easy to drive in traffic as well, no?

As much as it pains me to say it (a gm guy) this car is extremely special. No doubt this car will be a future classic. The engine and performance is just insane.

Honestly although the zl1-1le is way faster and a far more capable track car. It achieves all this by being far less of a road car. heck the thing doesnt even have bushings! so the ride is absolutely terrible. Perfect for a track but terrible on the road. Its also no where near as good a looking car as the mustang. In general i can just about live the the camaro's front facia that looks nothing like a camaro but its rear end is so ridiculously bland, looking like an old 1980;s k car. lastly though its well know that GM makes better engines than Ford, but this time the Shelby takes the crown with quite possibly the best sounding engine/exhaust of any current of past american v8's. Where the camaro is hardcore, the mustang is sheer BadAss. It just ticks way more boxes than the camaro regardles of the camaros better performance. Where the camaro has gone all out race day, the shelby is a jack of all trades. and thats what makes it such a sweet ride. It can do it all. And that for its pricetag is truly remarkable. Its not the first time a mustang has been like this either. What Ford has done is what Saleen had done with mustangs for decades. And is why saleens are so highly praised. Theyre build for the track with real racing DNA, and still theyre increadible daily drivers with looks far beyond a standard mustang. durring their day, most people didnt get it, too focused on straight line dragracing, when saleen was killing the likes of porsche and ferrari.

Awesome car! Very jealous. Although the car is rare, that shouldn't be the reason for anyone to want to own this car. This car needs to be driven and experienced, not collected.

im in a mustang club. a member of the club has a 16, 350. it is in the shop all the time.. i think that 5,2 is a bad azz motor. just not proven like the new 5.0 5.2 has too many problems, it too new..

Hey everyone. I just saw a brand new 2016 gt350r. Only one in America that is UNTITLED. Its at Paul Miller Ford in Lexington, KY. Just like the one in the video. $110,000 + ttl. Has rear seat delete. First one ive ever seen in person. Wow. Beautiful.

The rear spoiler isn’t “aggressive looking” enough. If I owned one, I’d probably store this spoiler & go with a lower profile one. Other then that... the R is superb. 👌

It's because of people like this that make the GT350R nearly unattainable. For what this guys drives it for, he'd be more than set with the GT, maybe GT350 if he loves to push it. But the "R" was built for those that got tons of spare cash to buy one for track use specifically and not so much as a "daily" or even a weekender for that matter.
Funny now it's 2 years later, there's an R near me discounted $2500, and one at sticker. Some other dealers are still trying to get 15k over lol

I may need to drive one. since I'm more performance oriented than "special car" oriented. I've been doing research where the s550 5.0 has more low end torque and is better in the 1/4 mile if it has a tune and cai (yes I l know the GT350 is designed for the oval but it is a mute point for a daily), the GT350 is hard to find the 8250rpm redline on normal roads, etc. I may give the 14 GT500 or Boss 392 a chance before I pay the markup for this. This will be out of style once the newest GT500 comes out imo.

Perfect examples w 2-3k miles are now $70k or so. Patience is a virtue. I can't have with my/other driveways. That front spoiler wouldn't last a week.

Built over 5k 350's for '16 and over 5k for '17.. 37 R's for '15, 526 for '16, 942 for '17 and they claim 55% less production for '18.. so I suppose we will see 4xx. HR912 here.

F-Type R/SVR prob a sound match. Different, more cracks and bangs in the F-type. A 2015R is a steal now. $60k or so for a car that started at $107k.

A lot of car for being a NA 302. I think the R should have 1 mode, balls out, no pw, no pdl, so silly exhaust modes, back up cam etc., jmo.

Think about that, if they are good enough to pass EPA standards today, still, and be reused, that's a good thing genius...GM made trash until they were given $40 billion of FREE money, in which the government went and lost 10+ billion when reselling the shares they bought. I would hope to God anyone given 40 BILLION would make something worth a shit. Pre-2008 GM was on the way to the graveyard. The worst part of this video is the guy trash talking the GeTrag transmission but praising Tremec. Don’t forget that the GeTrag has built a far better transmission than Tremec ever will. The GeTrag V160/V161 on the 1993-1998 Toyota Supra. There are people with 1500rwhp builds still on a 100% unopened factory transmission.
+Charles Consagra we were speaking specifically to the getrag MT82 that was put in the mustang, which is absolutely horrendous. Not speaking to all their transmissions as a whole

LegendInThaMakin California. I spent a stupid amount of time trying to buy one, couldn’t get anywhere close to sticker. It was dumb but I’m happier now. After I got frustrated and gave up it opened my eyes to a lot of other manufacturers, drove some fun cars.
FakeZ06Sean don't know where you were looking, but a friend of mine bought a 350 for sticker. He put 4,000 miles on it, sold it to a dealer, and got a allocation for a 350R and paid sticker. Apparently you did t try hard enough cause my buddy made that shit look easy. He bought two 350's for sticker all while our local dealer was sitting on three 350R's. They just sold one to some jackass for $129k. 😂😂😂😂😂
