      Lol...i bet if they fought at the 130lb pacman would destroy floyd..but alot of people don't understand that about boxing...every pound makes a difference and if your talking about mayweather who eat sleeps and shit at the 150-155lb vs pacman who sits at the 130-140lbs...he has to come up another 7-12lbs much harder to do than go down 3 lbs... this fight against mayweather was setup to make pacman take all the disadvantages. kellerman does make sense and the problem with debates is that there are always biased fans who swear by their fighter no matter if he was out boxed or not. I personally love Marvelous Marvin, Tyson and now pacman. These guys always brought the fight and had the biggest heart: and a true champ fights anytime and anywhere, not when it benefits them only.

  • @markanciano4175
    @markanciano4175 8 лет назад +91

    Kellerman made a good point. Pacquiao is greater than Floyd because of not just all the lineal title he accomplished at the lighter division, but being a naturally smaller guy and still very competitive against a naturally the longer reach guy, and Pacquiao was the defensive aggressor which is way harder to do than a running away slick boxer type. Yeah Pacquiao is way better than Floyd in the ATG list.
    Pacuqiao fought better quality opponents than Floyd.
    Pacquiao won more impressive with same opponents they fought.
    Pacquiao fought P4P fighters every year for the past fifteen years up to his last fight, Pacquiao fought the second best fighter in Bradley at welterweight division only next to Pacquiao, which made him the lineal Champ in welterweight on his last fight.
    Floyd fought another cherry pick in Berto on his last fight. That is how wide the gap they are in the ATG list. And zero lost does not go far in the ATG, it's the quality of the opponents they fought in their entire career.

    • @markanciano4175
      @markanciano4175 8 лет назад +4

      Yes, Pacquiao lost to Marquez by knock out, that does not mean Marquez is on the ATG. It's their resume and their accomplishments in their entire career.
      Floyd fighting Berto alone puts a ding in his resume. So who fought the better opponents P4P fighters every year.
      Floyd is like Canelo now, cherry picking Cotto, then now Khan. Both are big names but not on the P4P in that division.

    • @Edgerich
      @Edgerich 8 лет назад +10

      +Andres Kiani Pacquiao was already better than Floyd whether that fight even happen or not. What Pacquiao did in boxing is unheard of and no one else can mimic what he has done. Floyd is just another Rocky Marciano

    • @markanciano4175
      @markanciano4175 8 лет назад +17

      Floyd is what I call a smart illusionist. I say illusionist is because he seemed like he fought all of them, but the question is when did he fought them?
      I don't give credit to Pacquiao when he made De la hoya quit on his stool when the betting odds was against Pacquiao the underdog. I didn't count Mosley win by Pacquiao because of the timing of that fight, we all know why.
      There are more instances like I don't give credit to Pacquiao koed David diaz championship fight at lightweight. Pacquiao had beaten Margarito, a very live and dangerous fighter, still on his prime at middleweight, but I didn't give him credit for that. Pacquiao fought Cotto at his prime who had just beaten Clottey weighing at 146 pounds on fight night. I didn't give Pacquiao credit fighting Cotto even though he was the underdog on that fight because he fought Cotto at a catchweight of 145 pounds, one pound lighter than Cotto's last fight.
      So just to be fair I don't give Floyd credit on most of the big names he fought, because of the same reasons I use for Pacquiao.
      So who did may weather fought? NONE, he never fought prime p4p fighters at their best weight. He ducks and cherries, so let me explain why I say cherry. When Floyd fought Zab Juda, Zuda was not the best in that division at that time, it was Cotto. When Floyd fought Cotto in that division, it was not Cotto who was the best, it was GGG.
      Kinda like Canelo now who was fighting for the middleweight, but fights catchweight against bums that was already over the hill and he is fighting Khan soon, when Kahn isn't the best for that division. In fact Khan had never tested in that division.
      That is how true boxing will judge the ATG/ TBE the quality of opponents and not an illusion. Floyd in my opinion cherry picks his opponents when its ripe for the picking, which I don't give credit at all. I didn't even mention Floyd never fight outside vegas where he has all the advantages. ATG's fought all over the world bruh where they have to KO dudes or get rob.
      You just cannot be an ATG if you never took risks.

      +mark anciano " Mayweather said. "I beat Diego (Corrales) when he was at the top. I beat Arturo Gatti when he was at the top. When I fought Oscar De La Hoya, we both was in our thirties. When I fought Shane Mosley, we both was in our thirties, and I beat Shane Mosley when he was coming off his biggest victory. When they said (Juan Manuel) Marquez was washed up, after me, Marquez went and beat Pacquiao."
      It's not his fault that his opponents challenges did live up to the expectations haters like you. He was just that Great.
      Like it or not. Mayweather is an All Time Great……..get over it.

    Lets take a closer look at Floyds biggest wins.
    Genaro Hernandez- OLD
    Castillo 1- Robbed Castillo
    Corley- Nearly lost all of his fights
    Gatti- Washed up/Ring wear
    De La Hoya- Passed prime
    Marquez- Smaller man and Floyd came in heavy
    Mosley-OLD
    Ortiz- Controversial Ending
    Cotto- Passed his prime
    Guerrero- Who? lol
    Canelo- Cherry picked a kid
    Maidana 1- Too close a fight for an "all time great" to have against a slow, plodding 1 dimensional brawler
    Pacquiao- Waited for, what? 7 years before he fought him?
    Berto- um yeah
    Lets be honest here. Dont be a fanboy. Just look at the facts. Thats floyd the business man right there. Hard at work.
    His best wins to me were the Judah, Hatton and Corrales wins. Those stand out to me when I think of Floyd. Everything else is just a bunch of big names on his resume that he fought at the "perfect" times for him to look good. Nothing more.

  • @javiermigoya

    Max Kellerman is that special kind boxing analyst, he makes points that are truly solid, most people don't understand that when it comes to weight classes 1 weight division just a difference of a few pounds can make a world of difference and give the advantage to the naturally bigger boxer, go up 3, 4 and 5 divisions and you are basically a boxer's equivalent of a 4 cylinder car's motor fitted to drive around a full sized Luxury Sedan's chassis and body, as you go up in weight from a smaller weight division, your weight as in individual pounds increase in value, same goes in reverse or opposite if you dominate a weight class and go down in weight to fight in a lighter weight class then your individual value of pound for pound loses value, if this still doesn't make sense to you then maybe you all need to watch a video here on RUclips called Honey Badger vs 6 Lions then maybe that would be more to your enlightening flavor, that's a perfect example of a superior pound for pound species, no bigger than a mid sized dog or smaller really, when it was all said and done the 6 Lions wanted no part of it, in boxing best pound for pound has nothing to do with the fact that you are undefeated, it has to do with how much value your individual pounds have given the advantage you are giving up to a bigger man, obviously you have to have some kind of winning record otherwise you can't use this type of equation to offset the value of individual pounds, so my honest opinion is if Floyd Mayweather Jr dreamt that he could actually beat Manny Pacquiao in 2009 then he owes Pacquiao a call to apologize, don't bother bringing Marquez up as an example because it would only further prove how little you know about boxing, Boxing is a game of Rock-Paper-Scissor you can beat 10 boxers in a row and still lose to the 11th boxer who's lost to all of the 10 boxers you beat, remember this because examples like this make people understand things a little clearer, in a town You can be the only survivor of a deadly decease but still die from a common cold hence the Upset

And a lot of people have been calling out GGG aside from the usual suspects, like Laura... GGG has become the feared fighter of his class, but on the contemporary, mysteriously one of the most called out fighter who evades blue chip fighters?

    Max Kellerman is a truly under appreciated boxing analyst. The guy has a firm understanding of the sport and really is very knowledgeable when expressing his views or opinions in regards to it. In my opinion he's one of the best analysts in the sport. I respect Teddy Atlas for the contributions and dedication to the sport, but i'd much rather listen to someone like Kellerman. Atlas really wears me out, to the point where I consider muting my television so I'm able to enjoy the fight without being subjected to the same old shtick with that hack.

    It's amazing to think there is a question here. Put their accomplishments in pro boxing down on paper and manny is much more impressive lb for lb. head up we did see Floyd tentatively try to fight manny but to be honest he looked bothered and backed up all night to amuck smaller guy which proves the lb for lb status of manny. Floyds ppl always have to defend his greatness which proves once again that he isn't as good as manny overall Bc no one has to defend pacquiao. What he did in boxing stands for itself.

      +Demetrius McClain Floyd Mayweather is the better boxer and would probably win at all the weights he fought versus Pacqiuao(130-147). But it is pound for pound. He's point is p4p Pacqiuao is better considering his size. Pacqiuao really shouldn't be fighting at that weight considering his actual size. If Mayweather fights GGG he would lose(let's admit it, his too big, strong and very skilled). I would still rank Mayweather higher than GGG though regardless if he lost.

    Another point, Pacman come from the gutter with no proper directions in boxing until later on in his career who won belt in 8 divisions. Mayweather was grown to be great who has people to protect him and push him in the right direction in boxing like his father and uncle. That is why he still have that 0. Mayweather always call not all but most of the shots when it comes to who he fight, when he fight, where he fight and sometimes how he fight because it's the name of the game in boxing and he is the best at the game side of the sport. It will be a very long time before anyone break Pacman record of 8 division, but I pretty sure the 0 of Mayweather will be beaten soon even if he got 50-0.

      You out of your mind. When did jacobs call him out? When? I'll wait. Brook is a welter weight and if he gets in the ring wit ggg and ggg beats him what you haters gonna say? 'Oh brook was just a welterweight bum who ggg knew he could beat.' So stop it.

    • @lopezanthony92
      @lopezanthony92 8 лет назад

      How is he ducking lara? Lara isnt even a champion at mw. Never fought above 154. His own manager even said 'we never sent a formal offer.' Which means he's all bark but no bite. Look up the video. But im suppose to believe because ggg doesnt reply to lara's petty social media rants that means he's ducking? Just stop it's pathetic. You wanna support andre fraud go ahead. No need to make up stories to make yourself feel better abouy hating ggg for no reason.

    • @lopezanthony92
      @lopezanthony92 8 лет назад

      Oh please the ONLY time i recall lara EVER being on ppv was vs canelo. And dont act like canelo didnt sell the majority of those tickets. Even tho lara got robbed by the cinnamon girl. Lara been fighting in this country WAY more years than ggg yet ggg just sold out stadiums and did 150000+ buys. Why you think promoters wont risk putting lara on ppv without a top name? Because he has no real fanbase. Which is why if ggg went below 160 to fight floyd it's a win regardless because he becomes a bigger name and has a better chance of beating an undefeated fighter. If lara was serious how come his ppl aint send a real offer to ggg's ppl??? Honestly i would favor lara against ggg but i understand why lara is irrelevant to ggg and if cinnamon girl canela wouldnt keep running from ggg and give him his title, ggg would have probably already accepted his challenge. Dominic Wade was his ibf mandatory in case you didnt know. Stop fangirling.

    Floyd is taller than Manny. Plus, Floyd also has a significant farther reach than Manny. The sum is a complete reach advantage against most of Floyd's opponents. Meaning, if they both leaned on each others head or chest using their fists with their arms straight, Floyd's fists will already be touching Manny's head or chest while there will be a large gap between Manny's fists and Floyd's head or chest. Since Floyd is taller than Manny, Floyd will have further reach advantage whenever he leans forward for a punch. This is what Floyd has been taking advantage of all these years.
    That is the main reason he has been winning. He will just throw in a punch which will surely connect and then he will just quickly move away to avoid the counter punch or just quickly clinch or hug his opponent and then just wait for the referee to safely separate them from the clinch. If it is not possible to throw in a punch, he will just run away from his opponent until he finds an opportunity to throw in another punch. Then, he will just repeat the process again and again and again. Just like what he has been doing all these years.
    Plus, it also plays a big role in his defense maneuvers since he has been using mainly his long arms for leverage whenever he switch positions. That is why it is a lot easier for him to bob and weave, duck and faint compared to other boxers. It's just Physics. Plus, it covers more part of his torso as it acts as a shield whenever he uses shoulder roll while he turns the left part of his back against the enemy and leans or moves backward. Even if he raises his shoulder to protect his head, he still has enough reach to cover his torso. That is why most of his opponents have a hard time connecting punches. He is just naturally granted with farther reach. It has nothing to do with skill or intellect.
    Only a few can be a defensive genius. It is not a term given to only one person because it is not superlative in nature. Mayweather is NOT a defensive genius because "the best defense is a good offense." Mayweather is NOT known for his offensive capability. Pacquiao IS KNOWN for his offensive capability. Therefore, Pacquiao is the defensive genius. Being a defensive genius does not mean that you do not get hit. It just means that you have the best defense because you have a good offense. Pacquiao has a great offense. Floyd is known for hugging and running.
    Hugging and running are not offensive maneuvers. They are not even defensive maneuvers. They are what scared girls do. That is why girls do not get hit. Real men does get hit. They avoid getting hit but are not afraid to get hit. That is why real men do not run from each other and they do not hug each other in a fight, because it is a fight. Unless the fight is already over or the fight is MMA.
    Anyway, MAX KELLERMAN said that Pacquiao is the better P4P fighter than Mayweather BASED ON UNDENIABLE FACTS.

    Instead of the Leonard Duran reference, I would have used Jones Hopkins instead because there's a 3 weight division difference between those two in terms of conquering the most weight classes. The same thing goes for Manny and Floyd. Duran's only been in 6 as oppose to 5 weight classes that Leonard conquered.

They're fighting for the 'Lineal', Ring plus WBA, WBC, IBF titles. Spence is much taller, has longer reach, way bigger, heavier. I may add FYI, Manny is one of a kind, all alone up there with 8 division world championship. Manny Pacquiao, the fighting senator is the most entertaining boxer who started at 108 flywt up to 154 middle wt. We may not see another phenom (an all time great) like him in our life time. So let’s just respect his achievements and appreciate his effort to entertain us everytime he is in the ring. Now he does not need to box for the money. He is thinking of helping others so part of his winnings is for some poor people in his country. He is building houses to give away for free for the less fortunate, instead of buying luxurious items to brag about. Thanks Senator for being a role model, a humble champion and philanthropist. too bad he is a Filipino, not American to be recognized as better than FM. But the world knows it. over & out.
