Close your eyes and imagine this: A boxer who became champion at 112, 122, 126, 130, 135, 140, 147, and 154! Amazing isn't it? Add to that 5 lineal titles, Fighter of the decade, and the ONLY fighter to win championship titles in 4 different decades! We will never see the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson, Muhammad Ali, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis, Hank Armstrong... Now contemplate if the above mentioned All time greats be able to achieve those accolades? Maybe or maybe not... Only time will tell but many years from now when you tell his story to your great grandchildren that there was this one little guy who was able to do all that, without facts they would say you're just making it up. But of course you can back it up coz there was once a man who did it... Only ONE....

    • @davidchen2866
      @davidchen2866 4 года назад +125

Midnightrambler3760 Because when you fight when you’re 20, you begin to fill out your frame and you naturally get bigger. Plus he won his super bantamweight title defended it five times and TKO’d Ledwaba as a last minute replacement, who was regarded as one of the best in the division at the time so it’s safe to say he wasn’t ducking smaller competition when he did that against bigger guys.

    • @davidchen2866

@Midnightrambler3760 "Just because a guy is bigger doesn't mean he's better" is true but when you're the smaller guy going up, it speaks volumes to your ability in the P4P rankings which is what Max is talking about... And no one knows why he skipped those divisions but does it matter when you go up 2 weight classes? Probably behind the door politics that none of us will ever know about. If he can win a belt at 154, I doubt he'd have much problems at 115 and 118.

Out of any of the great fighters, Pacquiao’s career is the only one that can be compared to Robinson. The term pound for pound was invented because of Robinson. He fought from welterweight to middleweight.

      Good point man.
Well, Thurman was a much harder fight for Pac, since Keith is always mobile. Thurman was just not strong enough to test the chin of Pac.
Spence is a slow pressure fighter who likes to trade punches. He is a southpaw with a very wide stance and steps inside with his right lead foot. Since he is static and slow, he will have issues with balance when Manny goes side to side. Porter exposed Spence against a moving fighter. Pacquiao? He massacres static maulers, just ask Cotto and Margarito.
Last three fights of Spence went the distance, meaning, he can't KO high level fighters. Pac's chin is durable compared to Porter and the other two Garcias. The only reason Pac lost by KO to Marquez was that Dinamita was on steroids, his trainer was convicted juicer Memo Heredia who juiced Lance Armstrong for years. After Marquez, no one ever tested the chin of Pac. He even knocked down most of his opponents afterwards. The Horn fight was home cooking. Thurman going down and retreating from the liver punch tells you the power of an older Pac.
Spence who trades punches (always hittable) will have a hard time backing-up and will continually be tagged with hard lefts from Pac. Let's see if Spence's chin holds to the challenge. The only thing that would lead to Manny losing is if he gets old overnight, or if his volume punching gets so low he loses by UD to judges.

@@JohnWick-xe2qb he got his ass kicked twice in the lower weight classes hello? go look up these 2 names. Rustico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat. they both knocked pac stiff! you need to go and do the research coz the ring belt is not a real world title, only the WBA WBC IBF WBO are. ring belt is just a pretty belt from a famous boxing magazine. they don't charge sanctioning fees or force mandatory bouts. the only fighter who has won those in 7 divisions is Amanda Serrano. of course its much easier to move up from the really low divisions where the competition isn't at tough. buy hey if you want to count ring belts, floyd has still won more world titles than pac in only 50 fights. also that means floyd is the only boxer to ever beat a 6 division world champ AND a 8 division champ. so floyd is still greater anyway✌🏾🤴🏾

Yes, there's a good case to be made for Pacquiao as the best "pound-for-pound fighter" ever, and certainly in the Top 10.

Max is simply saying that Manny Pacquiao has the Greatest Legacy in Boxing History the world has ever had in a hundred years or more. He is simply the Michael Jordan of modern boxing sitting on the top alone, then you can choose anyone next to him below
in terms of almost impossible legendary accomplishments in boxing history.
    - The "Only" Octuple Champion 8 Division World Champion in Boxing History no one comes close ever surpassing each and every legendary accomplishments in history.
-The "Only" 6th Division World Champion in the Classic Original weight classes in Boxing History or the so called the "Glamour Division"
-The "Only" 5th Time Lineal Champion in Boxing History meaning he was the only fighter that was UNDISPUTED in 5 weight classes beating the Best of the Best in Every Division.
-2000-2009 "HBO Fighter of the Decade"
-2001-2010 "World Boxing Council Boxer of the Decade" and will still be fighting until next year 2020 and a sure candidate for another Fighter of the Decade for the Second Time. Who does that?
-3 Time Fighter of The Year, 2009 Knockout of the Year
-And now the "Oldest" Welterweight Champion in Boxing History and still aiming for a WW unification before he retires and still fighting at the highest competitions in WW at the age of 40.
Who does that? Only a living legend does that. The Pacman should even be at the Top 1 spot in the "Boxing All Time Greats" at this moment if only Pacman is American. But anyways, his unbreakable records and achievements in boxing will live on and tell of his legacy in another hundred years or more no one else comes close. Nuff said.
