Just a small thought, if it's possible, you don't need to "villainize" the challenger in your title/thumbnail. I believe every challenger knows who sir efren is and they just took up the challenge. Obviously there are some very skilled players but rare generational talents. Just my 2 cents. ✌️
there are no shame for a 2 digits champion lose to a 3 digits champion, she still missing a couple of decades of experience to learn on controlling her emotion on the game to avoid some random silly mistake than her opponent, that's all.

Efren is a very humble person and I dont think he intentionally made this video edit, I hope they should change his editors or who come up with terrible captions, and introductions.. Hi Quentin. Fellow Syracusan here, born, raised, and lived 50 years there before retiring to sunny, warm SoCal. Growing up in 'Cuse, I had the privilege of watching an old-time great pool champion play many, many times. His name was Arthur "Babe" Cranfield, the 1964 straight pool world champion among many other titles. He lived in Lyncourt for the remainder of his life after retiring from the pool circuit. Google him and also there are some YT vids of him playing against Wille Mosconi. I used to hang at the old Cap's Cue Club, formerly JTP's on Teall Ave, next to Shopcity Plaza. Babe would come in during the 1970s and 80s and play for free, of course, as he was a legend. He would shoot 100, 200 ball runs with such steady pace and precision it staggered the mind. Crowds would gather around and watch in awe. I once saw him run 350 straight. He was quiet, gentle, and serious but would talk if asked relevant questions. For those of us who loved pool, it was an incredible treat to see such great skill and style. We would bet on how long his run would be in brackets: 100 to 150, 151 to 200, 201 to 250, etc. He never played against others or wagered on anything. He was a true gentleman, always wearing a tie and suit jacket. The only other player I got to see regularly shoot 100-plus runs was my dad. I knew nothing about his skill until I was over 30 years old. I found out that my dad was a highly skilled former hustler who, in fact, put himself through college hustling pool. He could play both left and right-handed. Apparently, my mother, prior to marriage, gave him an ultimatum: either choose the pool hall or her. He chose her and never again stepped into a pool hall again for over 30 years. So, for the first time we went and played, I had no idea just how good he was until I saw it. It was like no time had passed for him as he ran rack after rack after rack. Had my mom not changed his life, he could have gone pro and made a career out of it. Pool hall life had a stigma during the 1950s, 60s, and 70s, as a lot of things happened at and around the old pool hall culture. Today, it's much more respectable. It was great watching Efren play her. I actually spent a year living in China, in a huge major city, and holy moley, I was shocked at the pool culture there. They had 24-hour pool halls with up to 200 tables, and they were always busy. I was impressed and can see why many of the new talents are from China. Nice to see a comment from a fellow Syracusan!
There is no one and will never be any one like you, Kuya Efren.☺️ Salut to you! The lady is still young and will have a lot of time to learn and get more experience to be like Efren.☺️
I know that this may sound weird and unreal but I actually met with efren reyes My father knew him very well since they played together sometimes, one time efren was in my house with a couple of friends of his and my father's friends. I knew efren very well he was polite, calm, and of course "Pogi" it was once in a limetime that a legend of billiard was inside in my house. I will never forget that day.
I have watched this man as a kid during the nineties and up until now when I watch his match still gives me goosebumps as he is just incredible. One of Phillipines most proud in history.
Simeng Chen was very polite. I admire her for her competitive skills and for her humanity. It would be a pleasure to meet Efren, and also a pleasure to meet her.
Efren's brain is like a computer. his moves are not boring. there is always Geometry. i feel sad that the Legend is getting old and the country still haven't produce another one to take his place.
BOTH are accomplished and should be commended for their skills! Like most things in life, the Fates can intervene at any time, in any situation, with any person no matter how exalted, and in any manner...
Love your videos! But small suggestion from me too, the same sound over and over for "victory" and the one for "oooooh", just a bit less volume on that please.. It's the same thing over an over Props to Reyes and his opponents!!!
Such class to concede at the end, and not get one through an opponent's mistake. She knew exactly who he was, and was honored to be allowed to play against him. Or, play with. She might have better memories of this loss, than a win with no competition. Hats off to both.
I'm certain that Efren is giving a lot of handicap. He decided to push on the 2nd rack when it is an obvious that he can already finish the game. ReLly love the guy.
You guys have no idea that there're a lot of high caliber players here in the Philippines. Efren beat all of them before he competed out of this country. You can't beat him but only one can and must be a Filipino too.
I've seen him God bless himself one time.... With the cross pattern... With his hand to his chest. It only takes one time to pray to God..... They say be careful what you pray for because you'll get it.... The other old saying is" so much for bragging"..... I've never heard Efren Bragg... not one time.... He's known as the magician. It's hard to beat a man at his trade or profession if you're up against a guy like him. Who plays competitively he gives people chances sometimes by accident... Other times maybe he misses on purpose...
9:37 just blows my mind :D edit: it is interesting to point the location where you want the ball to stop, to determine the end helps processing how it will be done it seems...
