Ken Norton .... those guys were beast and were terrified....Tyson beat on bums... Plus Tyson had skills Foreman just walked through punches like a monster and Clubbed dudes ..... VISCIOUS
I have to disagree. Foreman was 6"5 and weighed 240 and he was a terrifying boxer to face and he did fight better competition BUT Mike Tyson was 5"11 and weighed 205 and was knocking out dudes foreman size. If you look at the fighters Tyson faced they were all taller and in some cases outweighs him by 20 pounds or more ( exp: bone crushed smith ). So that is more terrifying to me when a small man can knockout giants. You expect a big man to knockout other big men. Tyson was scarier by far!
@@robertalston793 You are real funny trying compare them big bums to Foreman because of the size. Foreman aint those clowns. He could take a punch. Only time he even got knocked down was against Ali. Thats the only time. Tyson hit the ground against some bums. Plus Tyson sounded really weird when he talked which was not scary at all.
@Qwerty Uiop I didn't say size was everything. And Mike beat Tony tubbs, Razor Ruddock, Trevor berbik , Bone crusher smith , Frank Bruno. I see you don't look at everything when it comes to fighters. As I stated before you have a man 5"10-5"11 beating guys 6"2-6"4 and those same men OUTWEIGH him by 20-25 pounds. As I stated before Ali fought better competition than Tyson BUT a little man knocking out big men impresses me more than a Big dude knocking out another big dude. Tyson unified the belts at 20 in the Heavyweight division as a small man among giants and oh by the way he was the first to unify all the belts in the heavyweight division and it hasn't been done since PEACE
It’s not just what you do in the ring , it’s what you do outside the ring that promotes so much fear. Tyson was so young and his persona at the time was terrifying. Even to this day people give him so much respect, there still scared of him. Forman and Tyson were both incredible in there prime.
George foreman was so scary in his prime he said that he went to knock someone out missed the punch but the guy just fell and pretended to get knocked out cause he said he thought he wouldve died if gets hit with one of those.
How is this a question? Really? You’re clearly bereft of any knowledge on Boxing. Foreman was up there, Tyson has never beat an opponent as good as Joe Frazier and Foreman dismantled him in 2.
Even tyson music..that sick tone with the all black was borderline wwf intro like..and he said he gonna eat niggas children.. Lmao cmon.i would fight 2 prime foremans at once before 1 prime mike..ef that.
Foreman was the scariest boxer of all time He had just destroyed Frazier, easily, knocking him down multiple times, before he fought Ali And Foreman was a big guy, bigger than Ali, and much bigger than Frazier 40-0, 37 KOs, bigger and stronger than you, and he just destroyed a Frazier AND Norton in 2 rounds each.....
The level of competition is absolutely laughable. George beat all time greats and Mike beat no one of any significance. Not to mention George won a tittle at age 45.
That was >40 Foreman. An you forgot the part where he said Mike Tyson was afraid to fight him and he didn't want to fight Tyson. There's a lot of reports of Mike Tyson saying to his trainer at the time, something along the lines of "I'm not fighting that F***ing animal, if you like the mother F**ker that much you fight him".
I rooted for George Foreman at age 42 in 1991 when he went against Evander Holyfield. One of my favorites back then was Riddick Bowe. He reminded me of a young Big George.
My pick'd be Liston, he has a devastating punch with a very impressive reach and not to mention he had an association with the mafia . He almost never smiled on public and he knocked out ultimate good guy Floyd Patterson and not to mention that the president of the USA told Floyd to not go against the guy. Gotta respect Floyd for accepting his challenge and Ali for not being afraid of him.
Look at Foremans knockout of Gerry Cooney knockouts like that answer the question Tyson through rocks at high velocity and Foreman smashed peoples heads with boulders Foreman also arguably has the greatest chin ever the shots he took at times where just brutal and it's insane that he didn't go out Holyfield landed something like an 18punch combination on Foreman and only managed to stun him the man was a human grizzly bear
Tres Maddox arguable. Ali fell a few times when u caught him clean. Frazier cooper caught him clean and he fell. Foreman only fell from exhaustion. And in the Lyle fight he wasn’t the same as he was before he fought Ali. In foreman’s return he was even tougher . Almost everyone says foreman has better chin than Ali
A77 that's when Ali was playing around and being careless but when Ali was super focussed like he was against sonny Liston in the first fight No one in history bears that Ali
Robin Givens seemed like she hooked up with everybody from Mike Tyson to Michael Jordan to Brad Pitt to Howard Stern. She's got range in men. Mostly the range came from their incomes.
I remember watching the pre-fight coverage before Foreman-Ali and Howard Cosell, who was a great friend of Ali, was expressing extreme concern that Muhammad is in way over his head and couldn't beat George Foreman at that point in his career. Ali was 32 years old, which back in those days was really retirement age for a fighter. Ali beating undefeated 25 year old George Foreman after he had just nearly killed Joe Frazier was, as far as I'm concerned, the greatest performance in boxing history.
I watched the Spinks fight with my Dad. He absolutely demolished Spinks. Hit him with a body shot Spinks took a knee, got up and Tyson took his head off seconds later.
George Foreman: "no doubt, the scariest human being I've met in the ring" Mike Tyson: "Nobody's more intimidating than Sonny Liston, not even myself" ... Speaks for itself.
Michael Crocetto he sure was intimidating especially since he was openly mobbed up. But I believe they’re paying tribute to Liston who came before them . Same way every old time great say Joe Louis is the best fighter ever.
Cus dmato knew how bad Liston was hence he did everything in his power to stop a title shot , props to Patterson tho man stepped up and gave Liston a shot ... He had to be scared , Liston was seen as a monster !!

sam nah he ain’t his said a lot off bs ESPN make him seem like one juss so they have someone who knows boxing I don’t mind him tho as he gets my hyped for fights but he is no boxing historian 😂😂
Gervonta Davis na bro. Max Kellerman’s got a ph. D in boxing history. He’s forgotten more about boxing in the last 24 hours than stephen A will ever know. Thats why he treads so lightly around max when it comes to boxing and it’s obvious 😂. Stephen A wouldnt act like if it was any sort of hype, trust me.
Foreman was a straight up monster in the early to mid 70s. Today we think of the Foreman grill and this guy that loves cheeseburgers. In the 1970s he was a shredded mass of muscle that had power unlike anything before him. I’m happy he’s transitioned to what he is but when he won the title in his 40s you could still tell underneath that smile the determination of 70s Foreman was still present. I respect that.
Before 1989 his physique was the scariest I have ever seen in boxing history and at the time if asked the question that time most I think would have said Mike. Knowing what we know now I can see why its probably 50/50 with each fighter's generation leaning that fighters way.
That's old Foreman the preacher man. He always stays humble. Young Foreman would have treated Mike the way he treated Frazier and bounced his head off the canvas.
Max is one of the best boxing analyst of all time. On covering other sports, not so much. Max is so insightful and fun to listen to when it comes to boxing.
Liston all day..84 inch reach with bricks for hands..was like 40 ish when he fought Ali...Did'nt have to pretend he was a murderous gangter..and before Liston there were champs but not monsters.Tragic story his life.
Liston is the scariest, Jack Johnson the boldest ( in and out the ring), George Foreman and then Iron Mike. Non Heavyweight. Before he fought Sugar Ray, Roberto Duran was terrifying.
I consider Mike as the scariest athelete of all time. But this statement is just not true. I was watching his Eminem interview yesterday. He seems to have found peace and his attitude is a lot more tamer. Not even remotely as scary as he once was. Prime Mike was not human.
Sonny Liston was by far the scariest fighter in history. George Foreman said he never seen a man so angry. Mike Tyson said Sonny Liston make him look like a Girl Scout
Tysons weaving was similar to Fraziers smokin weave. Very prone to uppercuts. Foreman's wrestling techniques and handling controls the fight by mid round KO.
Sonny Liston was arrested over 100 times, fought over 1500 men in America's Arizona State Prison (1950's Guantanamo Bay) prison, yelled at the prison guards to bring inmates as sacrifices for his sparring sessions which ended up in prisoners either going to the morgue, paralyzed, or severely injured and often ordered 2-3 men at a time to go in the ring with him just for a light sparring session. The Prison guards started holding boxing matches for entertainment and betting who the winner was, it was estimated that Liston participated in at least 300 of them.
Im born and raised in Louisville Kentucky 38 yrs old and Cus Damoto Tyson in my opinion beats him, mike had all the physical gifts you want as a boxer but Cus and Kevin Rooney was the mental edge Tyson needed just like coaches in different sports sometimes coaching beats talent which i think would be the ultimate difference in whether mike wins

First time I agreed with Max. He said it well it's different when you're living through something. I remember living through the Tyson era, we thought he was unbeatable and super human. My grandfather was always like he can't be beat! In retrospect I do agree, I think Foreman is scarier.
There's a interview where George Foreman himself said he didn't want any part of Mike Tyson! Those words from his mouth let me know how scary mike power was!
That's the new grill-selling Foreman being nice. He also said about Joe Frazier that he knocked him out fast because he knew if he didn't get Frazier first, Frazier would get him. Prime Foreman would have crushed prime Tyson.
Big George & Iron Mike were both scary. The difference is; Big George's batchmates in the 70s were almost all formidable fighters while during Iron Mike's reign only Razor Ruddock posed a risk.

Foreman was scarier than Tyson .... his size and the Caliber of fighters he was destroying... He crushed LEGENDS .... Frazier ... Ken Norton .... those guys were beast and were terrified....Tyson beat on bums... Plus Tyson had skills Foreman just walked through punches like a monster and Clubbed dudes ..... VISCIOUS
Preach
Foreman had mad skills, you just have to know what to look for! Mike had great skills!
I guess they ran out of topics

@@kingfancy7317 Chill bro, I was just saying...

What makes mike Tyson even more scary is his voice , he talks with a high pitched lisp which makes him more dangerous in a weird way
Boi u a fool lol u 😆😆
sonny corinthos ha it’s true tho
Oddly Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano speak in that same high pitched lisp voice. Or did speak since both are decease.
Thats the one 😂
And shavers
It’s not just what you do in the ring , it’s what you do outside the ring that promotes so much fear. Tyson was so young and his persona at the time was terrifying. Even to this day people give him so much respect, there still scared of him. Forman and Tyson were both incredible in there prime.
I love the shot of molly just on her phone and out of the conversation. I think that’s her best contribution to the show.
People always miss Liston on these lists. He was a monster
He killed people in and out of the ring
His destruction of Floyd Patterson was scary.
@B Jordan he's talking about the era before Ali just as Max Kellermen is talking about Tyson in 1988 not the shadow of Tyson after Buster Douglas
Max said liston was top 3 scariest
You obviously didn't watch the whole video.. max literally mentioned him around the 3 minute mark
First time I'm seeing Max and Stephen have a civil discussion. Shocking.
If Mike Tyson had Cus through his whole career Iron Mike would have been the GOAT 🐐

Thank you!! Someone actually thinks the same thing I've been saying for years.

Would've, could've, should've blah blah blah. He's barely a top 10 heavyweight ever
That was his adopted father. Tiger self destructed without his dad and many others. The father figure can keep many lost souls together
How is this even a topic of convo... Tyson had these dudes scared to come out of the dressing room.😱🤮💯
George foreman was so scary in his prime he said that he went to knock someone out missed the punch but the guy just fell and pretended to get knocked out cause he said he thought he wouldve died if gets hit with one of those.
😂
How is this a question? Really? You’re clearly bereft of any knowledge on Boxing. Foreman was up there, Tyson has never beat an opponent as good as Joe Frazier and Foreman dismantled him in 2.
Don’t sleep on George bro Tyson has a glass jaw lol
Even tyson music..that sick tone with the all black was borderline wwf intro like..and he said he gonna eat niggas children.. Lmao cmon.i would fight 2 prime foremans at once before 1 prime mike..ef that.

Foreman was the scariest boxer of all time
He had just destroyed Frazier, easily, knocking him down multiple times, before he fought Ali
And Foreman was a big guy, bigger than Ali, and much bigger than Frazier
40-0, 37 KOs, bigger and stronger than you, and he just destroyed a Frazier AND Norton in 2 rounds each.....
Foreman wasn't bigger than Ali, only a 1,5 kg heavier. They both 191 cm tall with Ali reach advantage.
The level of competition is absolutely laughable. George beat all time greats and Mike beat no one of any significance. Not to mention George won a tittle at age 45.
Yeah and even though Ali won’ the fight. Ali took a lot of damage in the fight

George Forman himself even said he didn't want any parts of Mike Tyson. 🤷♂️
He also said he was scared of Joe Frazier.
Forman was the scariest by far. He actually beat legends. Tyson beat no legends except if you count the old larry holmes.
It was rumored that Tysons camp ducked Foreman because they thought Tyson was a bad matchup for Foreman.

Look at Foremans knockout of Gerry Cooney knockouts like that answer the question Tyson through rocks at high velocity and Foreman smashed peoples heads with boulders Foreman also arguably has the greatest chin ever the shots he took at times where just brutal and it's insane that he didn't go out Holyfield landed something like an 18punch combination on Foreman and only managed to stun him the man was a human grizzly bear
a bit same when you see Tyson KO's Marvis Frazier like max described... its too brutal
ali had a better chin
Tres Maddox arguable. Ali fell a few times when u caught him clean. Frazier cooper caught him clean and he fell. Foreman only fell from exhaustion. And in the Lyle fight he wasn’t the same as he was before he fought Ali. In foreman’s return he was even tougher . Almost everyone says foreman has better chin than Ali
Cs u get corona But Ali was only legit knocked out in the amateurs
A77 that's when Ali was playing around and being careless but when Ali was super focussed like he was against sonny Liston in the first fight
No one in history bears that Ali
Mike Tyson had Spinks scared to come out of his locker room
I watched the Spinks fight with my Dad. He absolutely demolished Spinks. Hit him with a body shot Spinks took a knee, got up and Tyson took his head off seconds later.
Sheldon Yup! Spinks was scared shitless. You can see it on his face from the moment in the locker room to the ring.
Sheldon how true is that

Thats why he treads so lightly around max when it comes to boxing and it’s obvious 😂. Stephen A wouldnt act like if it was any sort of hype, trust me.
Gervonta Davis are you stupid? His boxing knowledge is unrivalled.

Foreman himself said that he wanted no part of Tyson on Max's show.
Mike said the same about liston
That's old Foreman the preacher man. He always stays humble. Young Foreman would have treated Mike the way he treated Frazier and bounced his head off the canvas.

Foreman was heavyweight champ at 45....
I consider Mike as the scariest athelete of all time. But this statement is just not true. I was watching his Eminem interview yesterday. He seems to have found peace and his attitude is a lot more tamer. Not even remotely as scary as he once was. Prime Mike was not human.

Good job ESPN, just keep giving us more of Max Kellerman talking boxing and we'll be pleased.
Tysons weaving was similar to Fraziers smokin weave. Very prone to uppercuts. Foreman's wrestling techniques and handling controls the fight by mid round KO.
George Foreman was just something else, that man was terrifying
Sonny Liston was arrested over 100 times, fought over 1500 men in America's Arizona State Prison (1950's Guantanamo Bay) prison, yelled at the prison guards to bring inmates as sacrifices for his sparring sessions which ended up in prisoners either going to the morgue, paralyzed, or severely injured and often ordered 2-3 men at a time to go in the ring with him just for a light sparring session. The Prison guards started holding boxing matches for entertainment and betting who the winner was, it was estimated that Liston participated in at least 300 of them.
This just further magnifies Ali's greatness to have beaten both Liston and Foreman ,10 years apart with a layoff .
