I would recommend using subtitles if you have not done already because their are things you might miss (names, places, very important pieces of dialogue etc) this show definitely requires your full attention. 😉
Top class reactors (I subbed based on this upload.). You two are observant, attentive, intelligent thinkers... this TV show will be an absolute banquet for minds like yours. I'm going to thoroughly enjoy your journey, as much as you're going to enjoy this Story. Welcome to Game Of Thrones. Buckle up Sweet Summer Children, this show is an emotional rollercoaster like you've NEVER seen before. Don't be afraid to hate the ones you love, and love the ones you hate. You're going to get hit from angles you never even knew existed and prepare for some of the best dialogue TV has to offer. Emotions front and centre please, we're ALL here for the pain and pleasure in equal measure, and this show can be brutal. Best advice is get some moderators to police the comments for spoilers (there is SO much to spoil here) and don't let ANYONE tell you anything about this show, even family and friends. Good luck Mair & Sophie.
I second this, so much! :) "Intelligent and attentive" is an excellent observation, and preciously rare among so many reaction channels that go for GoT.
I think a lot of first-timers do raise an eyebrow about it, but then wave it away, thinking they’re just reading too much into it. Of course, they realize later that the show made them subvert their own suspicions. It’s well played.
Use subtitles. I cannot stress this enough. That will help with all of the names, places, motivations, and events that you'll be given. It will also of course, help with any confusion the dialogue and their accents may give you. Pay close attention to the dialogue. I also cannot stress this enough. It is even more important than the action on screen, and there will be plenty of that. Pay attention to the opening credits. That will tell you where in Westeros the episodes events will take place. Don't be concerned with not knowing or understanding everything that is happening, and don't be concerned with not getting all of the names and places immediately. That will come and all will be explained in time. Get a moderator. That will screen out any intentional or unintentional spoilers. Remember, you can pause the action at any time to comment on what you think, see, or feel. Feel free to find any character as your favorite. We reactors love that. Welcome and buckle up summer children. It will be a wild, thrilling, emotional and at times, gut wrenching ride.
Good catch Sophie!!! Very few people pick up in the incest flirting that Jaime and Cersei are having in their first scene! ❤ great reaction looking forward to more
You’ll pick up on the characters and the dynamics quickly enough as you go through the season. Just in case no one has, the characters in this episode are below: In Winterfell: - Lord Eddard “Ned” Stark (Warden of the North which means he’s kind of the leader of that Northern region of the Kingdom which happens to be the largest) -Catelyn Stark is his wife Their children: -Robb Stark, eldest child, heir to his father’s seat -Jon Snow, bastard child of Ned Stark which means that he was born out of wedlock and Catelyn is not his mother. (they’re the two the King said should be betrothed to each other) - Jon Arryn (now deceased) was the Hand of King, husband to Catelyn’s younger sister Lysa, and a father figure to both King Robert and Ned. (that is why Robert and Ned seem so close) I hope this helps! There’s no spoilers here and all of this is information from the first episode alone.

This is one of the best shows you'll ever watch! ( Record setting Emmys for Drama show!) Remember that it's medieval times, and anything goes! Definitely adult only! BTW: King Robert doesn't know Jon Arryn was murdered, and he didn't ask Ned to be Hand of the King to put Ned in danger! Jon Arryn raised them both as kids! Ned and King Robert are close! Ned is the only one King Robert trusts! Great reaction! Y'all need to continue!👍😁
Sorry, but it is not "Medieval Times" it is from another Universe. Yes, it takes a lot of things from the Earth Medieval era, but it is not. Important nuance, since quite a lot of things can't transfer in both worlds. Nothing is history in this, all is fiction and not taking place on Earth.
@@MightyPeeNo kidding! Thank you for letting us know it's fiction, and not of earth's history! It takes place in a Medieval setting, with fantasy! You did read that I did say anything goes, didn't you?
@@jaybird8192 Whoa. You're quite sensitive, little one. It is not "Medieval' with Fantasy, it is simply fantasy genre. Great difference. You should read a little more.
@@jaybird8192 Not even trying, you take it like this... Nobody is saying that Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn or even Stormlight Archives are Medieval or Renaissance. Are JRR Tolkien's LOTR or even Robert Jordan's Wheel Of Time "Medieval" ? Nope... It is fantasy. It's not being intelligent, it is simply a matter of reading and being precise. Yes, a lot of elements in GRR Martin's Song Of Ice And Fire remind us of our Medieval era, but it is not "Medieval" times at all. Factually, you were wrong. That's it.
What a fantastic reaction!!!! You really caught onto a lot of things!! Welcome to the realm…… it’s a journey you will Never ever forget. Game of thrones will go down as one of the best in tv history. You will laugh, cry, be so angry, u will feel every emotion.
I’ve seen many people react to GoT but this has to be one of the best first episode reactions I’ve seen in a while. Very excited to watch you two through this!
Yes, most people reacting have heard things about the show, caught a random episode or two, and seen interviews with actors, often from much later season, so they know certain characters will still be around a few later. It is nice to se people coming to the show without a single clue or preconception. Also, they paid attention, not talking over the dialog or texting, and missing all kinds of things that are explicitly spelled out. Instead they figured out things that were only hinted at, before it was spelled out. Will definitely watch more.
The reactors who pay close attention to detail are the best ones. I'm looking forward to going through this journey with you - and boy is it a journey. Strap in.
Oh man, you two are in for a wild ride. This story will put you on a rollercoaster of emotions. You guys picked up on A LOT right off the bat for the first time watching. Great reaction, I'm sure you will enjoy the ride!
I think Sophie is the first one that ever got they were lovers that early. Congrats. The one thing I am picking up already with you two is Sophie is very sharp with the relation type things. How people react to each other. And Mair is better at the more practical type things. but I must admit it great how you two butcher the names. And don't worry, people are always confused the first watch through of the show and especially the first few episodes. But you will find by episode 4 or 5 you will start to get a better feel for the show. it does throw a lot of characters at you and it is famous for giving you hints to things that will happen much later in the show. it's fun trying to catch and figure out the hints.
This might be the best game of thrones reaction series I’ve seen yet 😂 good energy and you’re actually taking in everything and trying to understand every detail
I have never heard anyone suggest that Tyrion's condition is due to incest and it certainly would be more likely if you get genes from both parents. Tyrion's parents WERE first cousins.
Very good observation Sophie! Good choice Mair and Sophie, thanks for choosing this show! I, myself, started late with the show when it was nearly at the end; but it became one of my favourites, because it has all the elements: drama, action, mystery, action, politics, suspense, humour, but above all (in comparison to other “action/fantasy” shows it has beautiful dialogues and great acting. Because of the many storylines, places and names (of people, houses, places,…), some reactors take notes. I think I should have done that. Sometimes the show can be hard to watch especially for anyone with a great feel for justice and some scenes are that brutal that you just have to look away. You just have to wait/watch for silver linings. I wish you a great journey, warm regards from the Netherlands!
also on tips, subtitles will help to not miss anything important, be very careful reading comments, hopefully maybe have mod to clean comments before you read em, and thank you for all work on editing scenes, theres lot of stuff to clean for youtube, also would love to have your hate/love list at end of each season, the more content on this show, the better!
You guys are great. Love how quickly you have caught on to relationships. GOT is not your average "story". Characters are developed and deep and conversations are never throw away! Can't wait to watch your reactions. It only gets better and better and better.
Congrats to you for not only picking up on them being brother and sister, but the relationship too!! WOW!! I’m going to enjoy watching you guys!! You pay attention and care about the show!! I’m so glad I found y’all!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
So interesting to see reactors who didn't realise GoT is a fantasy! This was a great introduction and huge props to Sophie for getting those incesty vibes from Cersei and Jaime from the very start. I do believe that's the first time I've ever seen that. Subscribed!
I'm starting from the beginning y'all! I love going on this Got journey with ppl. Truly the best scripted show I've had thee.pleasure of experiencing. Dothrakis are to them sort of like the native Indians, respectfully.
I watched the first episode and I was hooked immediately! Remember watching the whole season 1 in uni twice in two days. That's like 10 hours a day. Needless to say, didn't graduate :))
SOME ADVICE!! This show is NO JOKE! seriously, Pay attention to everything. Every word spoken. Even minut stories. They all mean something sooner or in later seasons. If you miss something, you may not catch the mind blowing reveals later. This show is very very detailed, more than any show. Wheels start turning around episodes 5 n 6.. be patient with the story. Some plots are long but forever changing and paths cross. It is brutal and very emotional. This is known to make people experience every emotion on the spectrum. Even men break.. it will piss you off, break your heart and maybe give you some revenge... all your questions will get answered sooner or in later seasons and if you thinking you guessing things right, you are probably wrong.. lol .. immerse yourself in the story and it will not disappoint.. we thronys will guide you through it. It is bigger than you think. Good luck !! We will let you know when you become a MAN and LADY of WINTER , MY SWEET SUMMER CHILDREN Targaryans have white hair.. they kept the bloodline pure for hundreds of years ... cant tell you why though yet....
Currently on a binge of your GoT reactions. Loving it! I'm obsessed with this show and it's so fun watching you on your journey and opinions of the characters. So many emotions and love/hate/love with characters! Can't wait to watch more!
The stones over the eyes are a ritual. " YOU close your eyes I this world and open them in the next one." It's sort of like placing coins over the eyes to pay Chiron the boatman of the Greek underworld.
The best show ever! Everything in it is top-notch, from story, characters, sets/location, dialogue, costumes. It's very dense as others have mentioned. Two things I always recommend are turning on subtitles and getting someone to moderate this comment section. I can't wait for the rest of the ride! Fun facts: that was a real dead stag
They don't have to join their houses for Ned to serve as Hand; Robert (the king) just wants to do that because he was once engaged to Ned's sister, who died.
Finally coming to watch now that 3x9 is out 😂😂😂 I find I cant watch with reactors from the beginning if i cant binge straight through at least to that episode. If all your other reactions are anything to go by, I know I'm going to enjoy this 😂
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. 22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
The Stark children--the black haired guy Theon called 'Snow' is Jon Snow. He's called 'Snow' because all bastards in the North are given the surname of 'Snow' to identify them as bastards. The other kingdoms of this small continent call bastards by similar names. There is 'Hill' for the Westerlands (where the incestuous Jaime and Cersei Lannister come from), 'Rivers' for the Riverlands (where the mother, Catelyn Stark grew up) , 'Stone' for the Vale of Arryn (where the dead man at the funeral Jon Arryn ruled), 'Storm' for the Stormlands (Where King Robert grew up), 'Flowers' for the Reach which is where a lot of agriculture takes place, 'Sand' for Dorne, a largely desert land to the south, 'Waters' for the Crownland, where the capital of King's Landing is at, and 'Pyke' for the Iron Islands where Theon Greyjoy is from (the surly kid who 'doesn't take orders'). Theon Greyjoy is not a son, but a hostage from the Iron Islands. His father rebelled several years ago, and the father's rebellion was crushed. Theon Greyjoy was taken hostage to ensure his father's future good behavior. That's a reason why Theon is salty, albeit, he's being raised among Ned Stark's own sons. King Robert wants to name Ned Stark as 'Hand of the King'. That's roughly the position of a prime minister. Most of these lands were separate kingdoms 300 years earlier. The Targaryens, the white haired family, literally rode dragons and conquered the continent about 300 years ago, and became the kings of a (mostly) united small continent. The ruling families became high lords of the lands they were once rulers of (or new people were placed in charge). Dire Wolves are a prehistoric animal that live north of the 'wall'. The Wall being a 700 foot high wall that separates the North from the further north where wild people called 'wildlings' live, and various monsters. Real Dire Wolves were big and bulky canines of the ice age that have gone extinct. For a long time, they were believed to be the Grey Wolf equivalent of 'Neanterthals'. That's basically how this show treats them, although real dire wolves didn't actually get so big, they were heavy, not truly of exceeding dimension of height and length. We now know through genetic analysis that real dire wolves weren't wolves at all, but canids more closely related to foxes or jackals.
Just like the 2 of you I didn't watch it when the rest of the world did. I didn't watch it until last year and I have to say I deprived myself of a great show. You're in for a wild ride and you're gonna love it. ENJOY 😊

Hopefully you all keep this going. It's a ride, you'll be upset & mad but then crying and happy. This is a great show so I'll be back if you keep these coming. Thanks for the video!
The north would be like a state and the Starks would be like the governors of the north. Whereas King's Landing would be Washington DC and Robert would be the President. The seven kingdoms of westeros were independent at one time with their own kings, that's why they are still called kingdoms. But 300 years prior Aegon the Conqueror, who was the first Targaryen king, conquered the seven kingdoms of westeros and consolidated them into one single empire ruled from the iron throne in king's landing.
the targeryens ruled for 300 years, they reshaped westeros in their vision : religion, culture, architecture, everything. Then 12 years before our story starts Robert overthrew the last Targaryen king in a rebellion called Robert's Rebellion and became the first non-Targaryen king of westeros. pretty much all of the targaryens perished in this rebellion.
Yesssss! Okay. I can believe that you've made it this far without seeing Game of Thrones. But I do *not* buy that you made it all the way to 2023 without ever hearing that this show is an orgy of sex and violence 😂
I always worry that reactors aren’t picking up on things and I’m so glad y’all aren’t like that! You caught Robert’s reasons for hating the Targaryens. Just to clarify, it wasn’t some distant Targaryen - it was Rhaegar Targaryen, Viserys & Daenerys’s older brother and the Crown Prince at the time, who did that to Ned’s sister Lyanna.
I don't know if anyone in the comments pointed this out, but years ago, during the filming of the pilot episode, the show's crew used.... a real deer carcass. Apparently, the stench was so strong that crew members vomited on set. Such an unpleasant curiosity, to be honest, I do not remember the name of the article in which I read this.
I’d recommend getting a moderate for the comments. Some GoT fans get overly excited and end up spoiling things in comments. Get a moderator to go through comments to remove spoilers before you read them.

@@jaybird8192 Whoa. You're quite sensitive, little one. It is not "Medieval' with Fantasy, it is simply fantasy genre. Great difference. You should read a little more.
@@MightyPee Wow you're really trying to sound intelligent! You're not impressing at all! Move along now!
That's it.
Y’all did great. I’ve seen multiple reactors not even recognize Jaime and Cersei as siblings in that last tower scene
What a fantastic reaction!!!! You really caught onto a lot of things!! Welcome to the realm…… it’s a journey you will
Never ever forget. Game of thrones will go down as one of the best in tv history. You will laugh, cry, be so angry, u will feel every emotion.
I’ve seen many people react to GoT but this has to be one of the best first episode reactions I’ve seen in a while. Very excited to watch you two through this!
can you let me know some chanels that reacted to the entire series. i cant find many good ones.
@@Ever1028A Nikki & Steven react was a good reaction to GoT
@@Ever1028Aspartan and pudgey are great
That get off the couch reaction was one of the best!
Welcome to the realm! I suggest a comments moderator. People get so excited about this show and sometimes get ahead of themselves with spoilers.
Yes, agreed! Definitely get a moderator.
You guys are great at paying attention. Dialogues, Names, and Relationships are key in GoT. Great Reactions.
Lord!!!😂😂😂😂 y’all bout to be so confused!!! We are here for it! Welcome to Game of Thrones new sweet summer children🎉
This is the right move, ya’ll will def fuck with this show. Oh u sweet summer children haha
I have never heard anyone suggest that Tyrion's condition is due to incest and it certainly would be more likely if you get genes from both parents. Tyrion's parents WERE first cousins.
This, Breaking Bad and Avatar TLA: favorite shows of all time. Y’all are in for it!
I'm super impressed with how attentive you both were. I'm here for the ride! Have fun!
Subscribed!
Im here for the rest of the show .. ID be watching as soon as they are up.
This is what i love on RUclips..
Strapping in to rewatch the entire series with y’all! Thanks for this playlist series!
We will let you know when you become a MAN and LADY of WINTER , MY SWEET SUMMER CHILDREN
Targaryans have white hair.. they kept the bloodline pure for hundreds of years ... cant tell you why though yet....
Get ready for a crazy ride sweet summer children🌞
YESSSSS wasnt expecting yall to react to game of thrones but im happy yall are this show just gets better and better...my favorite of all time.
Yeah, Bran likes to climb. He didn't know they were up there.
He said he knows a lot already 😂😂😂😂😂sweet sweet summer children…You know nothing John Snow 😂😂😂
When I started this show, I cut it off after the first episode and was no. Then, in season 3, I tried again and was hooked!! INVESTED!
We have more sweet summer children every one...Welcome to the G.O.T Family..I hope u have ur seat belts on...
Finally coming to watch now that 3x9 is out 😂😂😂 I find I cant watch with reactors from the beginning if i cant binge straight through at least to that episode. If all your other reactions are anything to go by, I know I'm going to enjoy this 😂
Sophie! You’re a smart, observant cookie! “Their interaction felt a little incest-y.” Nail on the head!
Nobody:
Sophie: back in the day ...🌝
I’m watching game of thrones for the first time too and I’m so hyped for y’all. Just started season 7.
For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
Your reaction to the twincest is priceless! Can't wait for future reactions
This show sees it from the perspective of several outcast like bastards, dwarfs, cripples, and girls for example
The Stark children--the black haired guy Theon called 'Snow' is Jon Snow. He's called 'Snow' because all bastards in the North are given the surname of 'Snow' to identify them as bastards. The other kingdoms of this small continent call bastards by similar names.
There is 'Hill' for the Westerlands (where the incestuous Jaime and Cersei Lannister come from),
'Rivers' for the Riverlands (where the mother, Catelyn Stark grew up) ,
'Stone' for the Vale of Arryn (where the dead man at the funeral Jon Arryn ruled),
'Storm' for the Stormlands (Where King Robert grew up),
'Flowers' for the Reach which is where a lot of agriculture takes place,
'Sand' for Dorne, a largely desert land to the south,
'Waters' for the Crownland, where the capital of King's Landing is at, and
'Pyke' for the Iron Islands where Theon Greyjoy is from (the surly kid who 'doesn't take orders').
Yay! I love finding new GOT reactions. This is my favorite book series! Such a wild journey. Great reaction!
Great guess Sophie! Just wait….lots of surprises to come….keep going!
Buckle up, buttercups and prepare for a wild ride. Summer children.
Your reactions to Jaime and Cersei LMFAOOO 🤣🤣🤣
Lmao - surprised you haven't watched this one. In for a crazy journey ... looking forward to it
This show was loosely was based on the war of the roses. 17:04
Looks like I found this channel at the right time! This is going to be a WILD ride ya'll, I can't wait to see every reaction. Subscribed.
Yall just made my year when I seen this thumbnail! Thank you
Loved your reaction to episode 1. Keep paying attention to details and you'll really enjoy this show.
Just like the 2 of you I didn't watch it when the rest of the world did. I didn't watch it until last year and I have to say I deprived myself of a great show. You're in for a wild ride and you're gonna love it. ENJOY 😊
I am going to enjoy watching you both watch GOT for the first time. Great reaction!
"You only seen two of them" LOL! She was right, but you two were funny.
And the show only gets better and even more provocative. Have fun😀
First time watching you, only 8m in. You guys are smart reactors and i love it, you understand the show faster than I did and it's very satisfying to watch 😁
Them last 5 to 10 minutes of this episode made me want to wash my eyes out with holy water lol!! It was a LOT!!!!
Hopefully you all keep this going. It's a ride, you'll be upset & mad but then crying and happy. This is a great show so I'll be back if you keep these coming. Thanks for the video!
Hey guys, your reactions are priceless. Game of Thrones is epic. Hang on tight is going to be a great ride I look forward to watching you guys
Oh boy..can’t wait to see your reactions to this. It gonna be one hell of a ride!!
Winter is coming.
Yesssss!
Bless your innocent faces, my sweet summer children🤣
I don't know if anyone in the comments pointed this out, but years ago, during the filming of the pilot episode, the show's crew used.... a real deer carcass. Apparently, the stench was so strong that crew members vomited on set.
Such an unpleasant curiosity, to be honest, I do not remember the name of the article in which I read this.
I’d recommend getting a moderate for the comments. Some GoT fans get overly excited and end up spoiling things in comments. Get a moderator to go through comments to remove spoilers before you read them.
You came to dangerous place, enjoy. I started to watch show from begining. How's episodes released, i was there watching them. After each season watch season lore, trust me. Welcome to our world ❤️
You're gonna love Lord Tyrion Lannister
pay attention to the intros fully. it shows every single place the episode will take place and you get to learn about the world
Ok, subscribed.
1. It's the other way in the cold opening beyond the Wall. The leader of the three men was the green one. The other two guys were the experienced ones, which was why they kept urging caution
2. This is an adult show, adult scenes and themes.
You both picked things up very well. The show is taken from George R.R. Martin's excellent A Song Of Ice And Fire book series. You ain't seen nothing yet! Enjoy, sweet summer children.
bro you guys are in for a wild ride XD show really hits its stride in season 3
Girl, I need you to be my friend and come vibe check people for me because your intuition is on point!!
You two are so smart man! Picking up so many stuff right of the gate. I remember my first time watching, especially first episode. I was like "who, what, wait who...where?". My dumbass took me 5 episodes to figure out who is who. Cant wait for next upload!
Welcome to the GOT world. Happy to follow your journey
Subbed! Just remember, nothing you think is gonna happen is gonna happen. They're gonna take you on an insane roller coster of a journey. All that figuring out who is the main character and who will play a main role and shit....all that is a red herring.
