Thank you for watching! Like or Typo will eat your socks!
I can't figure that would aid her digestion. 🤔🧦🐕
@@ssgtmole8610 cheese 😝🤣🤣🤣
Ive been watching your other Videos (mostly shorts about the sheep) And I thought most of the stuff your correcting commenters on was Common Knowledge.
My socks are so bad there's is no way a respectable sheep dog would touch them. We have snow and wet feet that stink! But feel free to send Typo here and see cause I need a good sheep dog LOL.
Is that why I'm missing socks!? Lol
The drawing are killing me 😂 also correct me if I’m wrong but Kelpies are typically used on sheep farms and Australian Cattle dogs are used on big cattle stations out in the desert.
I think so, I know there are kelpies out on stations also. They can work well on cows if they're trained on them. Typo doesn't work on cows. She very much doesn't like cows.
I had a Stumpy tail Cattle dog here in Qld until she died about 7 months ago; she had a short working life because she was badly kicked by a cow when 4 or 5. She survived another 10 years but only herded the children in recent years@@TaraFarms
@colddiesel Sorry to hear that. Sounds like a life well lived and loved though 😢
My old Kelpie works cattle and she still helps with my sheep. She Is 10 this year @@TaraFarms
I'm sorry to hear about your cattle dog. I'm thankful that it's something that I don't have to worry about as much with sheep. @@colddiesel
I have to add, seeing Typo push your buttons is always fun 😂
I love your name. I’m heading over to Rottnest island in June. Can’t wait. Quokkas are very cute.
@Toby3610 They are gorgeous little buggers but they have a dark secret. Quokka's will leave there young to predators to save themselves, but as snakes are the only natural predators on the island, it's rarely a problem.
I hope you truly enjoy your time here. 😁
Slug is very sweet. She would work for pats, cuddles and praise. Some dogs are food motivated. Slug is a bit more emotional and needs a shoulder to sleep on (or a car door with the window open ).
She's a sensitive strange soul 😂
68 year old American who raised lambs for 4H, I love watching your channel. You are my Aussie Granddaughter. I just adore you.😊
Kelpie's are supposted to have the biggest tongue size to body size ratio of all dogs. It's their secret weapon heat exchanger!
That explains a lot 😂
That's also very useful when swiping your buddies treat. Or your mom's ice cream. 😂
Trying to think of every fence I’ve ever hated.
Or thereabouts.
This may be my favorite video yet.
It’s a job. You solve the same problems over and over. And somehow make it interesting. Measuring gates should be as interesting as watching paint dry. What you do is convey that it is important, so now pay attention.
It's a long list 😂
I'm really glad you enjoy it, sometimes it's not interesting but it's all part of the job
The animation on this channel is Pixar level
Disney can’t afford slug’s fee 😂
Hearing you cracks me up. It's the same amount of rage I sometimes feel towards my coworkers. 😂
Just makes the job unnecessarily hard!
I'm home sick with covid and getting to watch you and Typo do your work has added a little bright spot to my shitty time. Thanks Tara!
Love your videos. Thank you for letting the captions stay longer. Awesome. 😊
Glad you noticed :)
Slug was talking her union nap break.
No, Typo! Don't leave me behind! I have no outback skills.
I agree that the illustrations are great. Always give me a chuckle. 😂🥰
Just start walking and you'll end up somewhere eventually, maybe.
@@TaraFarms End up at a dingo dinner location. 🤣🤣🦴💀
Again, my early Wed entertainment with coffee here in USA. You're never a disappointment.
Your illustrations are the best. Keep drawing.
And I loved the Epic Heroic Moistening of Slug
Us Boston suburbanites get so excited by pasture raised meat. You are really showing me how much hard work goes into raising pasture animals.
Thank you for including a safety harness on the oil rigger at 2:22, but the last option is hands down my favorite sheepishly moist side hustle. Poor sweaty bastard. Also, the phrase "That's the thing with the merinos, unfortunately" is SO audio-clippable. 112/10 enjoying not having smell-o-vision.
The sketches 😂 love it! Funny- Tara, you could sell graphic novels about the mob for fun. merch!
Glad to see Typo recovered! ❤🎉 she's a good slug! 😊 🐾
Your editing has gotten better and I love your humour and drawings. Keep it up! I love it all.
Aussies always give everything a knickname 😂
Hump day meets slug day! Perfect Wednesday arvo after teaching all day!
Getting that sheep out of the fence, sounds a lot like getting Year 9's to get off their devices in class.
Love that!
Tara and Liam share the same smile and it is very cute.
I'd like a calendar featuring your illustrations, if you are getting into merch.
Or you could put a book together. " An illustrated guide to Australian sheep farming." A textbook for all ag colleges.
Barbed wire is never low enough to hop safely - until it is low enough to be an ankle trap.
😂😂😂 yes.
Thank you so much for sharing all that you do here!!! Appreciate the drawings so we know what's going on! I appreciate you! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!
Gotta keep you informed!
Oh thank god you are here!! I needed a good excu... reason to stop studying for my certification.
My ute is 'uterus irridius maximus'
Carrier of the motorised cycles, reciever of the many washes. And he will get his vegence.
I do love watching a sheep jump like a fucking show pony! A vivid description that put a definite picture in my brain 😂
We love you Tara, and hope you'll survive the bushfires in VIC. Cali has experienced rain recently.
The fire that's still burning this morning has now burn over 10,000 hectares.
@@TaraFarms Dedicated to the two attendees who gave their lives at last week's Super Bowl parade in Kansas City, MO.
Loving seeing the everyday farm maintenance jobs.
I will never get tired of hearing you say 'proime loine' lol, you have no idea how happy it makes me.
Love that you add an Australian FARMERS fact segment...
And how "future Tara" fact checks!
Back when I was your age we had purebred Dorset, some Suffolk and crosses, some Finn and crosses, and what everyone called Westerns. What I remember most about the different breeds is Suffolk rams were really mean. Finn's were notorious for multiples like quads and quints. And Westerns would find a hole in any fence. I also thought they were not as pretty as the others because of the wool on their heads. The other 3 breeds had clean faces with short hair on their heads. My dad just loved his Dorsets, and he would show them at the fair. I spent my fair time showing rabbits and horses.
Most rams are ugly we had some highlanders last year that were cute. But apart from that they’re pretty skinny boys. 😂
I came across Tara's vlog a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it. Some of her throw-away lines are hilarious and even a bit naughty. She explains things very well. Hard worker, too.
We finally almost get the "Tour of Tara's gates" episode! 😂
Can't gate keep!
Such a cute video, I am always glad to see your videos ❤
Best greetings from Baghdad
Thank you so much!!
That ending of a misplaced slug was awesome I laughed so hard
Great vlog as usual tara you and slug allways make my Wednesdays
Excellent! Thank you!
Sheep are always on self distruct mode, anything to make life difficult 😂
I appreciate the levels of lore in the title 🙌
Thank you, I changed it because the previous stuff wasn't performing well so hoping this one will do better!
I love the illustrations.
You measuring gates reminds me of working on a horse farm as a teen and the times the horses out smarted the gate arrangements. We had one who knew how to disassemble stall walls.
Ya don’t get a much more Australian that this Aussie weapon, makes ya proud , love your work just saying it as it is , doesn’t sugar coat shit !!!
Another great episode ❤
Another Tara video ooooh yeah! I haven’t watched it yet but I already know it will be great❤
10:26 "Here's the situation... my parents went away for a weeks vacation and they left the keys to the brand new Porsche. Would they mind? No of course they wouldnt.. pay attention here's the thick of the plot..." that song just started playing in my head when she said those 3 words.. LMAO😅😅😂😂
I had such a good laugh watching this! Howdy from Minnesota!
Pay no attention to the no sense of humor Karens. I think you are naturally hysterical and funny as hell.
Some people put some funny comments
Tara your videos are real you tell it as it is so keep doing don't give a f...K about what people say they need a life
Hahahaha, the sketches are magnificent!
ooooo dramatic slug moistening very fancy!
Gunning for an Oscar!
excellent insight into what the locals here get up to...❤
While technically a ute is sort of like a pickup truck, they are the slug of pickup trucks, small, lean, and ready to get farmwork done. Pickups in the US are best at... dodging emissions regulations and looking pretty going through the carwash.
The slug of pick up trucks 😂 accurate but hilarious
I also so glad cows don’t get fly strike cause could you imagine trying to shear a cow if they were fluffy😅 I would not survive
That's be dangerous shit 💀
Highland cows can actually get it, I believe.
Don't Google 'Highland cow fly strike", don't Google "Highland cow fly strike". Don't....
Ty for answering questions. I only came to this channel recently after hearing about you from Gold Shaw Farms and Sheepishly Me lol
I don’t know of Gold Shaw farms I’ll have to check them out! And Sandi’s lovely 😊
@@TaraFarms Gold Shaw Farm be like New England noob farmer guy. His editing style is pretty good. Toby Dog is my favorite animal he has. ❤️
Interesting, which video did he mention me in? Keen to check it out!
@@TaraFarms I think it was a podcast episode when he was talking to a chicken marketer about sheep management.
Edit: Cost of Farm Finances maybe?. The episodes are fairly long and are more like something you’ll listen to while driving for hundreds of kilometers / stuck in traffic for kilometers.
Excellent thank you :) @@meowth900
I enjoy this.
Yeah!!!
NEW VIDEO!
A pack of anything can bring down a full grown cloven mammal of any species. A moose or elk is the exception to dog packs killing capabilities. We've had cattle taken down by a small pack of roaming neighbors dogs and usually they don't kill the poor thing but leave it to suffer. My grandpa would get pissed and he would take the dogs out and go throw them in front of the neighbors house in whatever pasture they were located down the creek . Papa was ruthless and scary when that mad. May he rest in peace. I miss him and the farm so much. Hope this helps. From ur Texas American friend Zandi
“Cool shit” 😂 love your vids ❤🐾
I love your vlogs girl! Any chance you can vlog more regularly as I need my Tara farms fix!
I do an extra video a month for members but I can only do so much! Appreciate the interest though 😂
Yooo! new video , just in time for my morning coffee :) sweet!
Glad I apart of the morning routine.
I found myself wildly distracted at the start trying to figure out if it was a trick of the light or if you have pink laces on your work boots. Completely unrelated I've been inspired to go find colorful laces for my hiking boots (the work boots laces can stay brown though, our dirt will turn everything red eventually)
the 'why was the sheep Wet' doodles sent me yet again, especially the last one, caught me right off guard
appropriately dramatic moistening soundtrack, its what the slug deserves
Talking bout Typo's breed reminded me how we used to have a dog when I was very little that was a border collie/kelpie mix, she had that real lean build like Typo, but with longer fur and a white/brindle bicolor coat. A herding dog ended up not being a good fit as a pet for our family- too high energy, intelligent, needed more enrichment than we could provide- but she also ended up having *eight* puppies on us before she got spayed.
Funnily enough, the sire ended up being another aussie breed, he was a nearby rancher's stumpy tailed cattle dog- a breed I'd never known existed before 2 of those pups came out with nub tails and we were trying to figure out how on earth that happened. Lot of them ended up being snatched up by the nearby ranchers as working dogs cause of their mix.
also speaking of predators in general and cougars in specific, had a childhood friend who lost a horse to a cougar. ~Just Rural California Things~
Yes my lace are pink, most women's boots will have pink laces. I like to keep people on their toes with the pictures 😂
They're good dogs, Dad has a BC/Kelpie she's pretty good! I didn't even consider cougars being an issue for horses but that's crazy!
@@TaraFarms Man I wish US boots cared to give us fun colored laces standard! All the ladies work boots here have the same color schemes as the mens- the lighter duty hiking boots are a lil better but I'm part bigfoot so I gotta wear mens either way, so I'm still up shit creek without a paddle 😭
Yep cougars (or mountain lions, to use the california parlance, its all the same animal) are *Fucking Huge* in person. Only time I've seen one was at a zoo thankfully but they were easily bigger than me and I ain't exactly petite. Like yeah they may be smaller than a lion or a tiger but a ""small big cat"" is still a big fuckin' cat
The ol' pup's name was Roca, after almond roca- even if she wasn't a good fit for us she was still an absolute sweet heart. We almost kept one of the pups, who was to this day the most gorgeous dog I've ever seen. Fluffy BC fur with long kelpie legs, and the stumpy tail that made her look like a little bear. She went to a rancher if I recall correctly and I hope she had a long happy working life doin what her component breeds were bred for 🐕💙
I love Almond Roca! Can't get it here in Australia, but probably just as well, or I'd be even fatter than I am .
Slug sits like an OLD, rangeland cowboy.
💀
Justice for slug getting her seat back
Best title you've done 👌
We’ll see how it goes, gotta get that click through rate up! 😂
Kelpies are the best. ❤
Hey Tara
Did you ever get that spider out of your house?
What is your favorite food from anywhere and what is your favorite dish in Australia?
Have you ever been to Steve Irwins zoo?
How far are you from bondi beach?
Yes, wild dogs have been known to bring down calves, but not so much cows. That's the same as us calling our office, an orifice🤣😂
I see thank you, I wasn't sure. I think I was imagining a pride of lions on an elephant.
😂🤣🤣@@TaraFarms
Best video ever😂more TYPO.STEM NC USA.😊
laylon brother's music, love the art work.May be the sheep don't understand english. More escape artists, may be they do it to get a rise from you. idea for a t-shirt image of sheep at a show pony event jumping a fence.
You definitely got to have a shirt with her saying fair enough on it I love love love love love her fair enough moments, how about a shirt with her holding a tape measure that says fair enough. I would buy them😂😅
People reacting to spiders 😲
Me: drives with a Huntsman (can be the size of your hand) on my window and don't care she is there (can get huge here in Australia)
Not me eating while you explain poop juice
I think is really cool how loud is your whistle
Pretty mid teir, Dad’s whistle is loud can hear from other side of paddock if it’s a still day!
not enough love for the title in the comments! classic
You NEVER fail to make me 😂😂 so hard my daughter thinks i'm mad 😂
😂..hi ya.. lovin your drawings
nooooo slug isnt greying!! My aussie husky pit mixs coat has always been changing colors. He was super grey blue as a baby, his coat is now a darker grey blue. His brindling has come up his face and traveled down the back of his neck. White marbling has been coming up the front of his chest then neck and onto his cheeks. I had him dna tested and his coat genome? Threw the random white marbling. But yah his coat continues to grow like a vining plant or a blooming flower❤❤️
Hi Tara. Looks like there is hardly any grass in your paddocks and its the same up here with lots of brown paddocks. I was wondering if you spray the thistles each year as they are getting taller again? I suggest you could borrow a herd of goats that would eat the down but that something else to look after. The worst jobs is to sort out all the gates on a large property and looks like you have found a lot that need replacing. You would think previous farmers would have stuck to standard width gateways but not in Aussie. Great content as usual. Chris from Bendigo,Victoria
Thank you for watching Chris. We haven’t sprayed because of the rain and unusual season.
Goats are tougher in fences than primelines so they’d probably all disappear!
Koolies are good dogs for sheep farms as well as Kelpies
Had to chapgpt fly strike😮
Uh, first? Hi Tara! Cheers from Oregon USA
Hello!!!
Neat.
awwww poor baby that is fly struck twice.
There really isn't much going on upstairs with sheep, is there? 😁
funny ass drawing pics.... 😂
Well id go a bit grey too if you keep dumping stuff on my seat!
It’s hard being slug 😂
Hi Tara 👋 New subscriber. I found you from your visit to Sandi in Canada.
The merino sheep that was fly struck and you had to shear half it's wool. Would taking all the wool make any difference?
Hey Tara hope you are all well, it so hot lately in Victoria, I wonder do you guys ever run out of water ?? What sort of watering system and back up system you guys are relying on ,cheers
2:49 the casting couch sheep 😭💀
new viewer here! I live in a big city in Poland so I feel like my lifestyle could not be more different from yours if I tried 😹 I feel like I've learned a lot already, I was NOT aware sheep sometimes seem to have zero self preservation instinct
A lot of the time sheep has 0 self preservation 😂
Im guessing the biggest pest you have to deal with are flys also can a sheep get fly blown if they are shawn or only when full coat.
Typo is a special breed a priShaun Scottncess breed 😂
Yes flies are a pain but not as bad here as cattle farms!
And they don’t get fly blown when shorn no.
Slug is a creature from the unknown 😂😂
i’m sorry if you answered this before but does each different type of whistle you do for slug is that different commands? Love your videos!
Yes I do, I did talk more about that and give examples in a recent video, can’t remember which one sorry
Dealing with fly strike is almost the worst job in sheep production. The worst job is pulling a dead rotted lamb out of a ewe without the benefit of plastic sleeves.
Probs my vlog fave so far. (Autocorrect wanted me to complement you in your ‘clog’, in case too wanted a change of direction?)
Thank you, I shall buy myself a nice pair for you to complement 😂
The British did the same here in Nova Scotia Canada, they brought in white tailed deer which now are invasive
The British did a number on bringing evasive species to the ol' Commonwealth countries.
LOL the drawings are peak
Tara check out the title
It says vog bot vlog
Keep up the good work ❤
Thank you, I'll fix it now!
"Roll the fuckin clip!"🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
hi
Does your app help you with paddock measuring? Would be quite handy for farmers.
It does have the total distance of the entire paddock yes.
Hi Tara, What do you do with the wool that is shorn (sp?) off the fly blown sheep? Do you just leave it in the field?
Hey, it's just left in the paddock, animals take it for nests or it just rots into the ground.
