ABOUT ME
I’m 30 years old and I’m a sheep farmer from Ayrshire in South West Scotland, which is why I have such a strong accent! I was born and raised on a sheep farm watching my dad who was the shepherd.
At 18 I went away from farming to work in the city (something I still do) and at 23 (2013) I decided I wanted to do something for some extra money so I went on a sheep shearing course. The hardest thing I’ll ever do was learning to shear sheep. [shudders thinking about it]
I shore whilst on my holidays from work for 2 years and then in 2015 my dad died so I decided to get my own sheep so I could continue working with sheep as it was something I loved doing. From there it escalated quickly from my first 4 sheep in my mum’s garden to now running around 600 breeding ewes.
I shore over 15,000 sheep this season in UK and I also travel to Norway for shearing in March and September. (Covid messed it up this year)
A few years ago I bought myself a sheep pregnancy scanner and have been building up my run since then.
I watched a few farm vlogs on RUclips and decided I could have a go and now here we are!
Thanks for watching my videos and please subscribe if you want to see more in future.
Cammy only film what you can don't worry about us sitting in our warm homes or where ever we're watching from. You, Lizzie, your sheep and lambs come first. We're all happy and appreciative for what ever footage your able to share and we thank you.
The Jacob x Valley black nose is so cute. 🤗
The slower you talk the better I can understand you. Florida. Lol
"some folk do this for pleasure". Cracked me up lol
Yeah I just shook my head, his audience for that comment was 7!
Projection?

you're up before dawn and working until well past dark and you blame yourself for not being vigilant enough? I think you're doing an amazing job. you've already saved at least 2 lambs from certain death during this lambing spell. I am enjoying very much. those black and white lambs are too too cute!
How amazing was that - transfering the skin of a dead lamb to a lamb needing a new mom...and the new mom being kind and patient with her "new born" lamb. WOW! Congratulations!! Yours in Gratitude
Thanks Wendy
“Some people do this for pleasure...” 😂 great channel!
Sandi Brock would have never gotten away with a Crack like that. RUclips would have censured her.. I don't know the difference between RUclips in Scotland and in Canada but Sandi seems to be censored for showing a ewe birthing and Cammy doesn't.
The black nose cross are so cute! Fun for sure. You must be very sleep deprived this week. You are getting the story across very well.
Oh those little Jacob x V Black Nose lambs are the cutest!!! Thanks for sharing all your trials, tribulations and delights as you lamb this Spring. Yours in Gratitude
Two Vlogs uploaded on the same day!?!?!?! ❤ What a great day it is!
I'm so glad Sandi introduced her community to you!!! So happy to be here!
Thanks, hope you enjoy the channel 👍
Good to see someone willing to take that lamb in from last video!
Very vigilant!! Some man! 👍
Ya I know
Cammy thanks for sharing. Don’t worry about editing your films just continue sharing. But get your rest too!
Such good Mommy's taking on extras. Oh and the black and white ones, I'm loving them. Happy Day.
Some ending 🤣🤣fairplay to your energy, I'm over halfway point lambing and I'm shattered
we are twin 18 year old hog farmers in western Canada almost at full capacity at 22,000 piggies, and today i took the big step and subbed to the sheep game. strange but i like them little lambs, see hundreds of births every day but sheep is something else.
You are getting there slowly but surely.
Truly amazing the recovery of the little ewe that had difficulty lambing!!!! I really didn't expect either to live much less to be running around one day later!!!!
Stay safe Cammy!!! I enjoy the videos regardless of whether they are choppy or smoothly edited!!!!🐑🐑
Thanks Cindy, Aye amazing how they come around after quite some stress and are now thriving out in the field 😁
oh I just love those black and white lambs! makes me smile with teeth!
Cammy fantastic video. Hope the "Safety Police" are not watching the "Starsky and Hutch" sketch. James good help, Robbie what a Star. Great stuff keep it up. I know its tuff Lambing and doing the VLOG as well
extra pressure on you (keep on it we appreciate it) Keep Lizzy safe..............
Hey Cammy, great video. Don’t worry if you miss a day or two of uploading, you and your sheep are MUCH more important than us viewers. Yes we LOVE ❤️ the vlogs but really, sheep first. Great job with the hung lamb and hopefully the mama sheep will accept the other lamb. Despite all the fluids you put on it she did seem to recognise another smell on it. Fingers crossed 🤞! CONGRATULATIONS by the way on your and Lizzy’s little ‘lamb!’ So happy for you both. I also didn’t know about the the cross transfer of bacteria, interstellar things we learn on your blog. Anyway, enough of my words; except I agree about the the Valais cross twins. I thought they were also for meat so was interested in your just for fun comment. Take care and keep learning, life is rarely perfect! 😀😉
Thanks Linda, should be a few more busy days then the rush will be past 👍
You're amazing. So enjoy watching you. I know RUclips is a ton of work and I hope you'll be able to get your own farm sooner because of it.
I love the way the lambs’ tails wiggle when they are feeding!
The valais x Jacob twins omg! How adorable !!! Are they ewe lambs? Will you be keeping them to breed?
Yes the little black nosed ones are adorable. You have a very big job hard work. And the effort you make for the trying to get babies adopted is wonderful. Very much enjoyed the truck roll, over the fence and flips :-)
Thanks Dana, every lamb would love to have a mum and they do so much better too.
@@TheSheepGame hugs to you for knowing that and caring and your reply brought tears to my eyes DM
Cheviots were how I found your channel originally! Congrats on your lambing season so far!
Thanks Katie
You are doing great - you cant win them all - and it’s good crack following whilst we are lambing our own
Ach don’t beat yourself up about it Cammy your doing great 👍
Those cross jacobs are super cute 🥰 I really want cuddles and wow the lamb that survived wow it must be a fighter ❤️ 🐑
Thanks Trish, it is surprising how much a lamb can take with such a tricky birth and still be up drinking 10 mins later 👍
Happy Birthday Robbie! Love from Canada, you are a big help for Uncle and are amazing!
Those valais cross lambs are something else 😍 I do love how a fresh lamb wiggles its tail so much while going in for some milk from Mama. 💙
Thanks for sharing videos everyday when your so busy. Really enjoying them. You will have no bother selling the Jacob cross valais lambs they so cute. Great to get the pets adopted on to a sheep so much handier and they thrive far better.
Thanks James, pet lambs definitely do better on a ewe and less work for us too😁
28:15 Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Cammy The Super Shepherd!!
I’m American and I love the Cheviots. Now, those little Jacob cross lambs, I’m in love with those little sweeties!
Love the Jacob cross lambs! Beautiful!
Don’t beat yourself up Cammie . You’re doing a fabulous job! I love your little “Holstein “ lamb 😂
Thanks Heather

I love Jacobs and those cross twins are beautiful! Good spinning wool, Jacobs.
Thanks Wanda
Really, really good video throughly enjoyed it, you are a very busy guy and such a great attitude‼️
Thanks Jayne
This is full on. Loving the content.
It on be great Cammie to see your house where you live and show us around your kitchen/livingroom/garden. You must be shattered this time of year especially if your on duty as well. I couldn't believe it when you said you've still not made any profit yet.
I am so grateful for how you share your day as you go along. Following your sheep and watching you help them as they lamb fills me with joy!
I just love your videos Cammie. They are so entertaining. I know you will get tired eventually. Your Dad would be proud of you.
Thanks Teresa
Just got reeled in to binge watch my favorite sheep man just owning the "Sheep Game" !!! For the second time around i might just say that you'd personally is infectious. Hope your 2022 is a huge success. Thanks again for taking us along on your journey.
Ninja Shepherd . James is doing a good job for you , looks like he is having fun also. Robbie has a few dance moves and looks good in his new clothes.
Cheers Cammy and Lizzy.
Thanks Roanld, aye James was keen to come out with his time off from the day job at Easter, something different anyway, Robbie definitely feels part of the team with all the kit on 👍
8:47 Poor Cammy! "Are you happy to see me or are you just having a poo?" 😆
haha it's a sign of affection. I use to know a girl......
Love the lambing videos Cammy, keep it up! 👍
Those lambs are sooo cute beautiful colours. Love your vlogs you keep it real showing how crazy it gets thanks for bringing us along . I found you thru Sandi and she’s right your amazing 😍
OK, here I am because Aaron Lavoy told me to go here. I'm so glad he did! I'm learning so much about different aspects of animal husbandry thanks to RUclips and hopscotching about per other vloggers' recommendations! I'm 69 years old now and have joined the ranks of the old people who shake their heads and cluck about how they wish they still had your energy, though ; ) Enjoy it, man! It is such a treasure and you are applying it so well. I get into arguments with people all the time over which profession is the most essential and I still maintain farming is still number one. All we'd have to do is try to get by without you valiant people in agriculture doing what you do for maybe 6 weeks to feel that truth. I love you all. I hit subscribe right away! I hope you and Aaron tie in a dead heat!
Wet adoption we call it now .. trying properly for the first time this year .. we grab lambing singles - shearlings mainly - break the water bag into a bucket, Chuck in a Cade lamb, lamb the single and squeeze the juices over the Cade + give it a proper bath - all out of sight of the ewe - then introduce them both at the same time, the real lamb flopped on top of the Cade .. two weeks in 100% success rate so far - think I’ve done 5 today alone .. we don’t tie the legs as the Cade tends to be quite dazed after the bath and being flopped on .. amazing to be this far into lambing and have no Cade pen + no triples out in the field .. we can’t quite believe it 😀
I used to hobble the pet lamb so that the newborn gets enough colostrum as the introduced lamb may take it all. Otherwise did the same. I had a camera trained on the singles pen to make ir easier to manage the deception.
@@wendyrowland7787 yep .. the Cade taking all the colostrum is the issue .. we watch them quite carefully and haven’t seen this to be the case yet but it’s definitely something we bearing in mind .. we use cades that have been fed and like I said they are quite dazed for a few hours .. fingers crossed the master plan doesn’t come crashing down in a few weeks 😫thanks 👍👍
I’m so used to Sandy’s channel that I’m seeing things that I’ve never seen before. The sheep that’s stuck on their backs. Love this channel.
I enjoy following your day with the sheep, the snippets of information is interesting thank you for sharing, please let Lizzie know how much what she does is appreciated as well.
The little Lammies are precious.
Your doing a great job. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself
I’ve got addicted to the sheep game. Lambing is wonderful and the ewe’s mothering instinct is a miracle. Ther was that 007 loup o’er the fence! Gaun yersel, Cammy.
The wee man picked the right rugby shirt for sure!
Get a builder’s bendy bucket, prefect to drop a lamb into. I used to put the lamb’s front legs in a loop and pass the string behind the head so that it makes bunny hops like a newborn.
Rubbing juices on a lamb. No Idea why thats so funny. Another great vid.
Never nonsense ... we like to hear it all.
Thanks Julia
Man that lamb was huge!! Lol
Loving every single lambing video. I wish I was (1) living near ye (2) 50yrs younger and (3) living back in Scotland, I’d be with ye helping/learning.
The Midwestern Hoof Trimmer sent me and I'm glad he did - love this first video of yours I watched. It was educational and made me laugh, thank you!
You are a hard working man. I don’t know how you keep it all straight. Hope Lizzie is feeling well . 💐
Thanks Liz, it's a bit of a juggling act at times, would barely know Lizzy was pregnant sometimes, it's treating her pretty well so far 👍
Don't worry about how much you film Cammy! You work plenty from sunrise till the wee hours of the night! I'm happy as a clam with the daily lamb videos; those black nose lambs are too cute! ❤
Thanks Wendy
Oh my that is the cutest ever! (The valley black nose X Jacob)!!! All of this is amazing.
Thanks Elizabeth, those lambs have come out with some great markings 👍
Those jacobs x lambs are so cute. Great video as usual.
Thanks Alice
I love the action in your "Stunt Lambing" scenes!
🤗😅👏👏🙌🏆
The little boy is just precious!
Your excitement over those there black nose cross was ultimate 🤗you make great videos man 👌
Now that made me laugh out loud super man. Cracking up here in New Zealand. Happy birthday young man. 🎂
I have the same headlight. Love it, lots of light and hands free.
Cracking video cammy
Love the little Jacob/Black Nose cross. Sooooo Adorable 😊
I'm crying a river over the one in distress, in shock at what you had to do ... Wow ...
Adorable little lambs you have there!
That was pretty cool you jumping over the fence and catching the Shepard hook. Work can also be fun. ❤️
Don't be so hard on yourself! Great successes in this vlog!!
Brilliant video well done 👍
Great video Cammy!👍👍👏👏
Cheers Neil
Grate vid cammy lambs are looking grate!
So nice to see that hog and hung lamb from last night doing so well and the twins (sortof) cheviot doing great too. Been thinking about both units all day
Amazing how they can come back so strong from a tough lambing or from being so cold.
Love the long videos
2 videos in a row, I love it You are a superhero sheep farmer
Lambing reminds me of calving on the dairy. I freshened all my cows in the spring and dried them off in the winter. It worked quite well, but managing all those babies at the same time could be hectic.
Love your passion and excitment. Also love the black and white lambs..... Look out Sandi Brock will want to steel them LOL :)
Thanks Alison, it's just a great time of year. They are becoming popular now in quite a few countries 👍
Mommy and twins outside. So adorable. 🤗
Not erratic, either ... will you quit it? You’re doing a great job; even a housewife like me couldn’t manage any better!
Thanks Julia
Ah yes adoption, I misread it as abduction 🤣
Good stuff going on keep it up
That was a excellent jump over the fence you done 😎. I hope u get the babies all moved and they all get new mother's
Thanks Tanya, would be painful if I didn't get it quite right 🤣
Great vlog as always! The vallais blacknose crosses are cute! Did you borrow or do you own a blacknose tup? I'd end up climbing in the pen to cuddle them if I were there. Haha! Glad last night's cliff hangers are better today!
Those baby black nose crosses are FREAKIN ADORABLE 🥰
Look forward to some great videos. Sent to your channel by the Midwestern Hoof Trimmer!!!!😄
So nice to have a helper - James.
We have Cheviots here in USA. A Collie breeder and trainer in Kentucky has run a flock for 20+ years. My shelties have trained on them. They are great to teach a longer wider out run since flight zone is bigger but they flock well (At least, hers did.) They act very much as yours do.
Ah right that's great do they look similar to ours? sounds like they are still just as wild 🤣
You are so funny, love the vlogs
Thank you, good shepherd :)
Hi I am from Midwestern Trimmers I am following the challenge. Good luck to both contestants. You both can thank Graeme for the idea I love the Scottish accent
Best sheep videos around . 👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks Emmett
Cammy at full blast 🤣🤣🤣. Thinking about the consequences if things had gone wrong 🤕. Who is the savior then for the distressed lambs 🤔. The gimmer with the giant lamb, beautiful deliverance. Sometimes the mother-lamb bond is gone for a while due to the heavy delivery / stress. For a good assumption, you can put some amniotic fluid in the sheep's mouth, always works. Beautiful lambs, cross Walliser schwarznase / Jacob sheep. How many horns do you think you will get on that 😁. Do not let go of a sheep that has been lying on its back for a while because of the descent of the intestines. Adoption method with the plastic bag 👍. PS. maybe something for you, a camper 🚙 for the lambing time, fully equipped.
Thanks Remco, aye it does sometimes take a little while for the mother to love her lamb if she has had a stressful lambing. Mmmm not sure about the horns yet I imagine they will have something considering both mum and dad do.
Happy Birthday Robbie!
I finally found out how to understand what you are saying, I set my speed to .75 and voila!! You sound a wee bit drunk but I can catch what you are saying. Love your channel and subscribed. Keep up the good work.
Good idea there Jim, if that's what helps that's great👍
