Thanks for watching! Like or Typo will be your dogtor!
🤣😂😂😂 love it!
How old is typo?
I watched lots of Dr. Who, so now I'm hearing the Dalek version of "Dogtor! Dogtor!" in my head. 🙃
Dude the algorithm decided to show me your content like a month ago, and you're fucking great. I look forward to your vlogs, they are informative, entertaining, and they somehow make me be more productive. i would watch a full hour episode every time if you ever decided to lengthen your videos, especially with the higher production quality and skill you've shown while your channel grows.
Keep up the great work, thank you for uploading!
I used to do pregnancy ultrasound on human women and would love to see the screen! Not that I would know what I was seeing but ultrasound and growing beings are so interesting!
The "meanwhile me in the background" cutaway was peak comedy. Also, praise sluggy
I listened to me say that and had just edited the last part of me huffing and puffing 😂
Love the drawings for illustration. ❤
Love the speaking for communication. ❤
See them in the Louvre next year, right next to Mona Lisa! 😂
I thought that they were epic and very detailed!
I really didn’t know what she meant by “check the dams for water” until I saw the diagrams
I don’t know what I love better, the Moistening Interludes complete with 🎶, informational drawings, or responses to Qs. I’m the daughter of a butcher sausage maker and feel your pain. 😂
you must always remember to moisten your slug!
I’m loving your channel Tara ,wonderful girl farmer . I’ve been watching Sandi in Canada for a lot of yrs and seeing the difference between Aussie sheep farms and even cam in Scotland . Something about Aussie farmers that I just love . Hugs from Sydney Australia xox
Thank you for watching! It's very interesting seeing farming around the world!
@@TaraFarms indeed . You’re doing a great job. I can’t imagine the physical side of it .I don’t really know how I found these kind of channels but I’m very glad I have watched them. Keep being you sweety and your channel will grow xox
you should be hired for educational diagrams, they're the best
I feel like they have the perfect blend of life-like and chaos
“We are learning from previous mistakes” Love the character growth for Tara this episode. That is at least until she thought she was gonna be able to be sneaky.
Well now we have another mistake to learn from 😂😂
Thoroughly enjoy your videos. Thanks for making sheep farming a very educational comedy show....with slug the adorable 🐕
Glad you enjoy it! Slug does her best 😂
Love the new word pregless might use that from now on
Though not a native speaker, I believe the term Tara was looking for is "barren"
@@noremorsewoodworking2258 g'day mate. Barron means you can't get pregnant at all usually because of menopause. Tara was say the female sheep are not pregnant at the moment. Have a nice day
audience: i like the art
tara: *does a billion frames of artist renderings*
audeince: *inaudible excited screaming*
Your drawings are getting better, and you are no longer using MS paint for them, lol. Thank you for blessing us with them. They make my day
Yes I'm using procreate now. I forgot I had it and thought why am i not using it 😂
I think when people ask how do you train slug they may be wondering if it's like a standard method where all dogs learn the same whistles or do you make them up per dog, kind of how does that aspect of the training work? Are there family whistle calls or is it more of a profession-wide signal?
Ahh I see. Thank you for the clarification. I didn't quite understand what they meant because it's a big topic!
"Meanwhile, me in the background." *literally fighting for her fackin' life* 😂😭😂
Just needed a tad more oxygen.
As a fellow (former) farm kid (polled Herefords) I appreciate the swearing lol sometimes they are the only words that fit the moment or help release the frustration ect. I adore watching your vids, they give me great amounts of nostalgia and watching someone who genuinely cares for the well being of the animals is just beautiful and so heartwarming.
Plus the way you talk to the animals gets me every time lol
As an aside thank you for being so open and informative and I absolutely commend you for clapping back and not taking peoples uneducated sheepshit opinions
Whenever I hear Slug it's in your voice "good sluggg" 😄 🐾
i am surprised you didn't become an artist because those drawings are amazing. ❤✨
It's tough out here as an aspiring artist!
You know Jazza’s a few hours away and quaking in his boots. (*Note: time away based on educated guesses of respective locations of the respective RUclipsrs.)
Take care Tara I heard Vic has had alot of lightning strikes which as we know can lead to bushfires love your vlogs your very informative explaining things without talking down to people 😊
We've had several bad fires in Western Victoria with Emergency evacuations. Yesterday's catastrophic day was scary!
@@TaraFarms I could imagine must be extra stressful with the added livestock etc and crops
Great video! The cut away to you breathing sent me lmao
I recommended your hat to a contractor yesterday and looks like he’s gonna purchase it! The music was also on point and the camera work felt really good today too!! All my love and scratches to Slug!
That’s great to hear. I’m really glad that people are taking up the hat!
And thank you 😊
Yes to the slug cam
I wonder if there's some selection going on where the ewes who don't get pregnant tend to be the more cautious ones (whether by being naturally risk-averse, approaching old age, having a chronic condition affecting fertility, etc) and therefore a group of them tends to make for an especially stubborn bunch?
It can depend on weather, but usually you'll get some that didn't cycle or didn't get pregnant. They could have disappeared through the fence when they were cycling and come back after. There's lots of reasons, but they are 6 so on the older end for farmed sheep.
wonderful illustrations
We had Guineafowl on the farm in UK when I was a kid. Some of the old people called them Gleenies. Not bad to eat, a bit gamey but not too much. Good to see Slug and her boss learning on the job, I wondered who was doing the training once or twice!
All that’s eaten our Guinea fowl is foxes lol. They didn’t leave a review though, so interesting to know they’re more gamey.
A new video before bedtime here the States, what a way to end the day!
Isn't it like night time there!
the 'checking if they're down' doodle absolutely fuckin sent me
you're as sharp in the editing as the footage
I can see why folks are being curious bout the guineafowl, my grandparents used to rear them along with peacocks for their feathers but they are not a common find in many parts of the US of A. Most folk round here have probably never seen them- or at least not a live one, I hear they pop up in the supermarket occasionally. They don't look like your typical domestic fowl that's for sure.
and ah yes, the pregos, and the preg-aints
I didn't know they sold them in supermarket, I don't really know what they're for but they keep the rats away!
@@TaraFarms from what I've heard, aside from meat and sometimes their feathers, they're mostly kept as security birds for more vulnerable fowl like chickens cause they're bigger and louder so they scare off hawks and varmints, and general pest control for bugs and mice- kinda like having a guard goose I guess, except I'm assuming guineafowl aren't the Spawn of Satan in bird form like geese are.
Wonderful vlogs as usual tara you and slug allways make my Wednesdays afternoons
Thank you Pauly! Appreciate your comment as always!
Go go Tara and slug! lol love the idea of a code to slug. I laughed so hard. "Ear ear -nose".. BEEP! Sheepdog unlocked!
Roflmao! Yes!
Would be much easier!
Yay, a new adventure from our favorite girl down under, and her side kick Slug :-) Hello from Beaverton Oregon 10:12 PM on a Tuesday night.
I'm normally fast asleep by then 😂
@@TaraFarms hard work & an early morning has some in bed by 20:15. Like me. 😊❤
Please do a calendar with all your drawings. They are fab ❤
3:35 Imagine being pregless after an 8 week honeymoon and all those neighbor ram invasions. EmBAArrassing.
Very much! We’ll see how they are after they’re out in with older rams!
Great video Tara❤ I really enjoy your videos and little slug is doing so well. So proud of both you and typo Xx ❤😊
Found you from Sandy’s channel. Love your hat - sun protection and keeps the flies away.
I don't farm. I live in snowy Canada and I find these videos endlessly fascinating.
Good day from Tennessee -- much smaller scale sheep farmer -- enjoy your channel! Learning from and laughing with you. All the best.
Ah the trials of getting sheep in/out the trailer. Big obvious place to go, and finding the tiniest alternate path. Refusing to go in by going in backwards. Then refusing to leave when finally getting where they were supposed to go.
They always are super over dramatic with the trailer!
i have seen videos on training herding dogs in both the us and from scotland. some people might think they are trained already when you get the dog. i love the fact you are doing it together. they are beautiful kelpies! especially the slug ❤
Hello this is a treat as always Tara
Glad I'm not over there!!!
When I heard "empty sheep", I thought immediately of David Niven's book "Bring on the Empty Horses", taken from a Hollywood director's instruction to introduce the riderless horses to the scene.
Never seen a Guineafowl before! they look adorable!
Nice work Tara & Typo, always enjoy your vlogs on the farm 🥰😍❤
You are the best drawer I have seen! Love it all
I really enjoyed this one. Tara. Thanks for all the work you do.
This was cool. Thank you! 😊
Love your channel! Very informative content with the illustrations and such
Typo is a legend.
Really enjoy watching your videos. It's so refreshingly real - love it. Keep up the good work, both on the farm and on youtube :)
Great explanations, Tara! Love watching the Slug work.
Hi Tara, I just seen you story on ABC Rural. Now you have really made it, getting a story about your RUclips channel on the ABC. It will be interesting to read what some of the comments you get from Aussie farmers. Well done, you deserve the praise you are already getting from your subscribers. Chris from Victoria.
I love the pink hat!
Tara you're a true legend!
Interesting as always. Thank you !
I love the drawings! ❤
It's the slug show!!! huzzah!!!
She's lives for it!
There's a show up on Netflix in the US lately called Muster Dogs that goes a bit into how folks train a Kelpies natural instinct to work alongside ranchers. It's no different than training a pet by rewarding desired behaviors. The desired behaviors simply involves chasing sheep in a certain direction as well as sit and stay :P
I didn’t know they had it on US Netflix also! It’s produced by the ABC (Australia Broadcasting something) and it’s got 2 seasons now. They’re currently filming the 3rd.
So basically you're like Tinder, but for sheep. Gotcha!
I like to think more the Bachelorette meets Love Island there's lots of drama between the boys when the ewes are ovulating!
Hi Tara, it looks like you have a special drawing style just like me. It's interesting and unique. Those sheep can be very testing when they dont want to do what you want. Typo has recovered well and is working good with the sheep. Maybe a small lightweight wooden ramp would make it easy to load them into the trailer. The sheep tested your patience today, so some stern Aussie lingo was needed to sort them out. Another successful tast completed and so good contest. Chris from Victoria.
Guinea fowl are in Florida too. They remind me of grouse meets a quail.
I'm a bit late to the show today.
I'm hoping everyone is OK with the storms on Wednesday. Bushfire in the west and storms all over, and Summer nearly over.
Love how quickly the scanner works, too. Is it ultrasound based? No KY and cold probes for these ladies.
Thanks again for a great chuckle. Sods law is in full effect with the sheep and trailer, of course. 😆
Very very scary day! Half of VIC got fires the other half got storms. We were on the fire side, lit by storms. Was really smokes and the sky was orange at one point!
I didn’t get the opportunity to show how the scanner worked, next time! But yes it’s ultrasound.
And yes absolute pests! 😂
Slug is so petite next to her relatives.
Yes she's a smaller dog, Smiggles had put on a fair bit of weight as she got older and didn't work as much. She looked like Typo when she was younger.
Looked like a sheep roundup one minute and a rodeo the next! 🐏🐏😂🤣
We love ya Tara and Slug! ❤❤
Sheep looking at the trailer thinking where is the ramp 🤦♂️
If there was a ramp there they would have done the same at the bottom of the ramp.
@@TaraFarmsFucking sheep.
:53 You have a fluffy worm. Idk y it cracked me up😅 But then, all your drawings Crack me up❣️
Terrific as always. Farming is bloody hard work. ❤
Couldn't imagine how hard it would be up north! Couldn't work in 40C+ over and over
You and slug make a great team :-) I just love the slug 🙂
Bloody artist over here 👩🎨
Love the stick figures!!! Hilarious 😂😂😂
6:29 I would always love the return of the Slug Cam
7:09 does this actually count as "counting sheep?" I'll try this as my mental image tonight when I try to go to sleep 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Chaos counting! They rarely will go one by one like in the movies 😂
Oh my, we got to see Leo the Grump/Pervert. He looks like a great herding dog.
plot twist: it's the sheep who trained typo to distract you while they're up to no good.
The Guinea fowl make the best sound.
You hear them before you see them!!
ha ha ha typo, I already HAVE a bad haircut!!!
It’s the drawings for me😅
Same
I love your content! How do you keep all of those numbers in your head? I would not be able to keep track!
Start by just counting one side and work up from there! I'm still learning to do it now.
Watching these videos makes me feel like I'm underpaying for lamb when I buy it for dinner. Have you ever tracked how many hours you work on the farm each week?
I watch this like 20 times now your drawing is very cute 😂😂😂😂😂😊😊😊😊😊
7:27 You have to actually count them separately? Certainly doesn't seem as easy as it sounds!
When they leave the yards you generally count them but I've started to count while drafting. Is easier to count because you're not going to missing one.
Send summer over to us, as soon as you're done, girl. Can't wait 😅
After the last 2 days we've had you can have it!
Yes! To the slugg cam.
Slug cam - YES!
Watching this I can't help but feel envious. I'm sure it's a lot of hard work, but you seem to enjoy it.
That was a lot of freaking work you did just trying to get the sheep onto the truck and that ramp I must have been quite a workout I didn't even do anything and I'm an exhausted
Hot girl sumner continues in Perth, 2 out of every 3 days over 40. 35 is a cool break.
Hi Tara I bought a shoof mat for sheep's feet. I was wondering if you use them and if you have any suggestions about how to set it up? We are getting limpers in this weather.
yes, the mystery of Guinea fowl evolution !....
This is pure comedy at this point. Especially loading those ewes. 😂😂😂
You’re funny, hardworking, and strong 💪
I’m an ag lawyer in California and it’s awesome seeming badass female farmers succeeding
Congratulations 🎉
That is awesome! I didn’t know they existed but I suppose it makes sense!
Obv the farming shit is all good n that, but I fuckin love your.. musical editing? You pick good sounds for good scenes.
Makes pleased.
Glad you like it, it takes a large chunk of editing time and multiple downloads to find the perfect song for each sequence.
The drawing of the sheep therapy haahahaha
I cant count them, ill sleep
I'm here for the top-tier graphics.
I am 9 and I am really really really good at drafting
Siq drawing skills are improving exponentially each video lol
Very hard improving perfection 👌😮💨
Who does the scanning? Is it someone on your farm or do you have someone outside the farm do it?
Great video once again! 😊
We get someone in to do it. No of us would know what to look for and would take a lot longer 😂
I have never seen a German shepherd as a sheepdog and it has Shepherd in its name
German Shepard’s worked as living fences not as herders.
❤
Typo can't do much worse than what I do myself.
Do you sell the old baron ewes or put them in the freezer?
Do you ever have issues with sheep getting in the damns? Some of my neighbors sheep ended up running into the lake at one point and were an absolute pain to get out.
Yes sometimes when they are refusing to leave the paddock they will run into the dams. Very annoying. You just have to leave them and come back for them later.
The drawings 🤣
What's the pink hat and mask for? And why is Typo's nivkname Slug? Thank you.
Hat is for sun protection, Typo is slug because it’s a nickname that evolved lol
Do you use the same ewes for breeding each season? How does that work? City girl here, trying to understand 1💙😁
You know, 13:28 when you’re trying to get the one sheep in an enclosed space, seems like the opportune time for a shepherd’s crook 😉 just saying
Problem is if you just get one you can put them in the trailer and they’ll jump right out 😂
sheep 👍
