    I see a Giulia in the background of your video...I'm kind of curious about it too! As another Giulia driver who has been inspired by your posted videos and taken his machine to the track, I'm kind of curious, especially after seeing it show up in some of your other videos too. Could you share more details about it if possible? 😉

    Bro i feel you, I just got brembos for my track 370z and I spun out so badly on the first lap since I put a pressure like if it still had the stock weak brakes. When your on the track you feel every small change you do to the car.

  • @robertbloss4409
    @robertbloss4409 3 года назад

    Tid-bit of advice. Next time you get new tires you need to heat cycle them before you go full send. Drive the new tires until you get them to operating temp driving 7 of 10 on track, DON'T OVER DO IT. Immediately take the tires off the car and let them sit for at least 24 hours. Next time you use them they will be faster and last longer.... So in hindsight always set some time aside on the track to heat cycle in tires for the next event. On a multiple day event work you way backwards to find a time slot that works so you have them cycled in (and letting them cure) for the last event.

    I cannot unsee the Toronto MSP out of this track now. The insights into your learning on how the car brakes now were really helpful, and I hope your next events go really well!
    I wanted to know if you would want to weigh in on something (and totally fine if you don't want to. It's free to ask, right?). I'm in the middle of starting a team that would go racing in WRL/ChampCar/Whatever other series would let us put around. Since it's a college club we (unfortunately) can't get a TA90 Supra (as awesome as that would be). We've been looking at 350Z's, E46's (328i's because they're cheap), E90/E92's, Subarus, etc. I was wondering if you could perhaps shine a light on either good (or bad) car choices that you've seen through your time at the track.
    Thanks again, and best of luck!

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  3 года назад +1

      I think for endurance racing, E46 Is a GREAT base. Throw a cage, fuel cell, do the required chassis reinforcement and go. There’s a SPEC E46 class out there that you can copy a lot of the build off of. Good luck!

    How is your differential holding up? Any aftermarket cooling at all? Have you noticed any fluid coming out of the breather?

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  3 года назад +1

      Diff held up fine this weekend! We isolated the COTA issue to be a battery low voltage issue, it couldn't supply enough power to the rear diff to ensure it stay locked. Once the battery was charged up the problem went away.
      For aftermarket cooling, we have AMS Intake Manifold with integrated intercooler, AMS Heat Exchanger, and Koyorad Auxiliary Radiators. No fluids out of breathers

    What device do you use to track your speed, g force, and lap time? I’m assuming it’s the device you have mounted to the windshield. If so what’s it called?

    • @bluesrike
      @bluesrike 3 года назад +1

      It's called an AiM Solo 2. But I'm not sure if that's where he's getting the data. Best if we can get a reply from Jackie himself.

      @@ironorhan Now that I can remember things (It's like 4:30am here) you can extract data from the Solo 2. But still, it's better to get the answer from Jackie if he sees this.

    • @JackieDing86
      @JackieDing86  3 года назад +1

      As Xorax says, we are indeed using the AIM Solo 2 off the windshield for all the data. We usually use it for analyzing driving and etc, but you can also import it to software like RaceRender to create video overlays like you see in this video.
      For more cash, you can buy the Aim Smartycam which achieves the same thing, but automatically integrates data overlay instead of spending hours upon hours doing it manually.
