According to Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor, "All Out Life" was written as "a rallying cry for everyone ... about all of us getting together and saying, 'You know what. Let's not talk about old. Let's not talk about new. Let's talk about what is. Let's talk about what's good, what's real, and get behind that and start embracing things that matter because there's history there and not just because it's the next best thing."[4] Taylor also provided the following additional background to the composition of the song:
"All Out Life" is a song that is trying to do two things: bring everyone together, but also remind everyone that the past is not something to be discarded with disdain. People are so eager to find the next big thing sometimes that they shit all over the bands and artists that have come before, thus making the past feel disposable, like a dirty thing. Fuck that: Why should we pay attention to your mediocre future when you can't be bothered to celebrate an amazing past? I'd rather listen to a guaranteed hit than a forced miss. "All Out Life" is the anthem that reminds people that it's not the date on the music - it's the staying power.

"All Out Life" was dropped as a gift to fans on Halloween 2018, almost a year before WANYK was released.
It's only official release to my knowledge is as a bonus track on Japanese versions in of the album and as a digital single.
I got a (official?) 7“ Vinyl single.

The only thing you can pull up that's pre-Corey is Mate Feed Kill Repeat, which is just a demo, because all of the tracks from it they rerecorded and polished up between the self titled and Iowa.

Awesome choice! The music video I think you were thinking of was Duality from the Vol. 3 album. Slipknot has said before that they have a every symbiotic relationship with their fans. Especially during live shows cause they are feeding off the energy of the crowd and we're feeding off the energy from their music! I think that's why Slipknot shows get so nuts. Love the reaction guys keep it up.
This was the hype track before they released WANYK. Yes it was a bit like "Duality" where they had fans show up to shoot a video, but I believe it was just Clown directing it as usual, and there was no music from what I recall. They just told the fans to go nuts. If that aint some weird shit to see you in a video later on going nuts to a song you haven't heard before and it's looks perfectly normal.
You should def deep dive to the lyrics again. A lot of it is about the music industry and it's lamb to the slaughter mentality "New does not mean best" and also to walk your own path.

They gave away those outfits and masks when this song came out, AJ Good is major Slipknot fan who has a RUclips channel (The House of Masks) if ya want to see his mask collection, which he has every mask used and have been used in Slipknot by all memebers past and present, even oddball ones only used maybe once or seen in videos.
You guys really really need to react to some Fear Factory again . Try out either Cyberwaste or freedom of fire . you will not be disappointed .

Duality is the video you were thinking of.
I was really disappointed that this track wasn't on the We Are Not Your Kind album.
I feel like considering at the time, we only had the gray chapter to go off of, this song really cemented what Jay could do. Just destroying everything as the band as a whole try to make a statement about music and how, just like corey says, old doesn't mean dead and new doesn't mean best. I get the image of them saying to not disregard the past in favor of the new, but rather focus on the best music of any era and acknowledge the greatness of what you like rather than what's popular. Listen to what you want (and the song could be applied to actions in life in general) and if people don't like it, acknowledge that you are not like them and never had to be like them.
And fun wrestling fact about this song, it was used in wwe for a few years for nxt, a brand run by triple h. They even used unsainted for one of nxt's special events. Really brought the energy to the shows and corey being a fan of wrestling definitely helps.

It’s so sad that NXT moved away from this song, this shit is a great intro for any wrestling show. Makes ya wonder why WWE canned it, probably for the whole NXT 2.0 relaunch and changing their aesthetic in general. Another reason why I prefer AEW, the music is superior and they lean towards heavy metal and hard rock. Also, the licensed themes like Where is My Mind and Wild Thing are great. Most new themes sound generic af in WWE.
Was waiting for Smokey to recognize it since he’s a big wrestling fan. And old NXT is on par with AEW to me. Both great wrestling shows.

I fucking love this song! I should, considering NXT used it as their theme song for 2 years! Also, the reason this video looked so familiar is because it's supposed to take place after "The Devil in I" video. That's why there was so much blood in that abandoned building at the beginning.

Idk if you guys read these comments but I would just like to say you guys are my favorite reactors on youtube. I am disabled and get very depressed but I can always go watch y'alls videos and it takes me out of those dark places. I'm not lying when I say you have probably saved my life more than once. Because I am disabled I don't make enough money to join Patreon or can't afford the pay to play method. So I will try to pay for a request with my words and love. I have been trying so hard to get my favorite band reacted to. The Name of the Band is Dog Fashion Disco. You two in my opinion are the two most open minded reactors on youtube and I would love to see my favorite reactors react to my favorite band. I think you would love them. They are like a mix of System of a Down mixed with Faith No More. They are so original blending so many genres with metal. So I am humbly begging to please react to them for me. I know a lot of people have to ask for requests constantly but I'm hoping me taking the time to write this really means something and you guys take it to heart. Dog Fashion Disco have been fucking rocking for over 20 years. They were loved by SOAD so much that theybtried to start a label just to sign them but Rotten Records would not let Dog Fashion Disco out of their contract so all that came from that was Serj doing a free feature for them on a song called Mushroom Cult. But now Dog Fashion Disco has a new album that is soon to be released and have already released a single and video from that upcoming album called Grand Experiment. It is a mix of surf music, 1950"s horror sounds, metal, and even equipped with a rockabilly solo. Please guys do this one for me. I'll leave the link to the video at the bottom. Thank you for always pulling me out of dark places with your upbeat content. Whether you do my request or not I will continue to watch. Its was recorded same time as .5 but dint make the album. The only reason its not on WANYK is coz Chris would have got royalty’s from it. Corey made up some story about it being a stand alone song that dint fit in with the new album
