- A little while ago, Griffin were on top of the world. In 2018, the rookie team came out of nowhere and upset some of the best, most respected teams out there.
The players’ individual skill and great teamwork helped Griffin climb the ranks faster than anyone expected. After an amazing year and a half, Griffin were ready to take on their first World Championship.
They were on the brink of becoming LoL royalty - until everything fell apart.

@A Oh I never get tired of it. During the time it happened, the mechanical skills of the pros were different, they didn't know a lot of things and Faker was always ahead on trying out new things, these days, a lot of pros are able to copy what other pros do. Before, the incsec kick was amazing, now it has become a norm for all Lee Sin Players. So I never get tired of seeing videos of outplays from the past.

Sword hasn't learn a thing from the days Cvmax subbed him out for underperforming. He's still tanking Griffin's chances.
He is so garbage this split. He gets crush in lane, don't know how to team fight and has some of the most hilarious TPs where he TPs directly in front of the enemy team and gets insta wiped

in 2019's Griffin squad everyone knew his the most underperformed and weak spot of the team like everyone have a chance to step up in games even (Lehends) and make the game win while him making unnecessary bad plays resulting to bad team plays and lose
probably DragonX is the best example of early DragonX but with Best Mid-laner that he got from griffin and Deft that is already know and established player and knowned to be either best ADC or 2nd in Korea right now

The fact that former Griffin players were very happy to rejoin their coach CVMax means clearly that the problem with the original team was Sword who was spoiled rotten, Chou and the management team of Griffin.
"cVmax allegedly abused players" if this was tru y tf wud chovy take a massive pay cut just to rejoin with him
Notice how the only ones whining (sword and Tarzan, but mostly sword) are the ones who performed the worst and stayed? CvMax may not be the nicest guy, but he made Griffin a powerhouse. Look how much better DRX is performing this split compared to the dumpster fire GRF is now (with sword now becoming a meme for how awful he is playing)
Edit: I made a mistake. Others point out that Viper stayed quiet and it was Tarzan who spoke out. TBH Viper was not bad in any way, but he definitely was on the lower end of Griffin's previous roster. He is absolutely the carry this split though, too bad he has sword
@@jack90054 It was Sword and Tarzan, Viper stayed quiet. Tarzan agreed with Sword cuz they are probably friends, and he felt bad for him. And Viper was they star player with Chovy, he was FAR from underperforming. Actually, the reason this new Griffin isn't 0-7, is Viper making a lot of diference.
So one didnt say every single player was abused. Along with that abusing a player doesnt become olay if you win.

@@jack90054 I mean DRX have chovy and deft surrounded by some of the most promising rookies in korea, a 4-2 record isnt that good considering and griffin lost the best mid in korea and the best support in korea (imo) and still has a toplaner that will never get a legitimate offer again once he leaves GRF. CVmax making grf a powerhouse is just pure speculation considering he had a roster with atleast a top 3 player in 4 of his roles. top 1 in 3 of them imo.

definitely chovy and lehends are the star of the late griffin
they still have Tarzan, who i still believe is the best jungler to not make it to semi-finals of worlds. He is definitely a better jungler then Clid, though smite wise Clid is better and early aggression. Tarzan and Viper are basically the only carry force in the team now. Their mid lane at best can only go even or lose now, and their top lane is a lost cause... 4v5 every game is just sad. Sword and Doran both bad, but one of them can at least improve, Sword just stabs himself whenever he enters lane.

The fact that both chovy and doran went straight to DragonX and are in 3rd place proves tha CvMaxx was right all along about both his ability and their potential. Its not that Griffon are in a hunch, they literally have the same lineup with their core players. Its very awkward with the way Sword literally brought out a plethora of drama out of no where just to spite CvMaxx, seems extremely personal to me.
And it's not like Griffin has a trash roster. Ucal is a slight downgrade over Chovy, but he has performed very well before (Top 3 in fact). The only true downgrade was from Lehends to a rookie, but still, it's the support. It's just the whole team is a mess now and Sword is literally throwing games with his awful plays
Now I just want to see drx with chovy, doran and cvmax from grf and deft finally getting what they deserve and going really far in worlds. I'm a t1 fan but that is what I'd love to see. T1 1st, Drx 2nd and GenG 3rd in korea, all going to worlds. Last year's 2nd and 3rd teams really tended to choke in important games but not only drx but also gen g look really great! And it's somehow really sad that tarzan stayed, he could archive so much more changing organizations than with the current grf roaster.

Thanks for making videos about this injustice. I hope more people could be aware of this greedy crime... Oh, Griffin is now in Challengers Korea, which means they have dropped to second division. In contrast, DRX, a team that recruited cvMax and Chovy, is in the third place of 2020 LCK. Also, Kanavi has become the winner of 2020 LPL Spring as a junger of JD gaming under reasonable contract. It's quite impressive, isn't it?

Update: GRF went 5-13 in LCK Spring 2020, lost in LCK 2020 Summer Promotion. They will be out of the LCK and back in Korea Challenger for 2020 summer.

I've heard a korean football player say that it's pretty common to get slapped or beaten by his coach if he plays bad or makes mistakes. Them doing that in other sports shouldn't be a surprise I guess.

"League of Legends' Next Great Dynasty" and you all arrived to that conclusion, because, they're a Korean team, right? You haven't paid attention to what it was happening since 2018 Spring, when KZ were doing anything they wanted in the LCK, because, most LCK teams were so passive, thus the competition was getting smaller and smaller. KZ Vs AF LCK final was basically, KZ chasing AF and AF running away and they used to be a proactive team in that split. After Riot changed the runes and there was this thing that rewarded proactivity, fast decision making, winning and turning around matches through teamfights (things LPL teams always favoured), it's when the LPL teams started to win everything internationally. In 2019 World Championship, you could see 2 things that has been the recent story of LCK teams, they don't know how to teamfight these days and they are never ready for engages, unless both teams are grouped as 5 and even then, they may not. I just watched the set 3 of T1 Vs DRX this 2020 Spring split and that still was how T1 closed their Bo3 victory.

This report excluded a key point of the entire problem. Sword was a toxic pos that abused his relationship with the owner to push Doran out. There's even that video where Sword takes Doran's food and jokes about it while Doran can't do anything about it.

Griffin are the Slythering of LCK with CV Max being Drako Malfang.
The fact that Griffin got dismantled and a literal SENATOR of the country was against them shows that Cho and Sword were full of shit and were the main culprits behind the implosion. Imagine if Doran actually played instead of Sword during 2019 and cvMax wasnt fired right before. They legit could've won worlds. Sword not only singlehandedly inted his team against IG he made a prodigy lineup of players get separated.

Doran and Viper are in the team that is heading to worlds as LCK's First seed, Chovy and Lehends are heading to worlds as LCK's second seed, and tarzan third seed, it seems that it was always meant to be, just under different management
if CvMax really is what they say he is, deft is probably crying after every lost game, because as we know it, deft's mental is quite lower than other players.

Skt started off pretty weak until they found their groove. GRF was very very dominant outside of Bo5's. They were top 3 in pretty much every split they played as a new team. With some work they could have overtaken lck.

The first day i met Griffin, i felt in love immediately with them. i was so hyped when chovy has 100kda, i felt so good when they were champions. i feel so good that they went to worlds and lose to world champion. i thought next year would be a dominating Griffin year with doren, tarzen, chovy, viper and lehands. then, this happens....
