Ford Mustang Road Rally | band.of.stangs | BOS | Jerome | Arizona | 4k drone video | DJI

My friend, Andy, invited me along for another car rally. This rally was coordinated by a group that Andy is not officially a member of, but he has participated with them before. This group is called 'Band of Stangs' (BOS) and is specifically a group of newer model Ford Mustangs. This rally took place on Sunday, May 28th, 2023. The staging location was Sam's Club at Bell Road and the 303. Roll out time was 9am, with the route taking the club northwest along US 60 through Wickenburg, then north up Yarnell Hill through Yarnell, Prescott, and ending in Jerome.
Since I didn't know any of the members of the club, I didn't want to impose too much, so I tried to keep my distance. I knew the proposed route, so I worked with Andy to determine where I would stage to get some drone footage. I took some video in the parking lot of Sam's Club prior to departure. I took some more footage at the first stop at the Shell station at the foot of Yarnell Hill. Then I left before the rally departed there so I could stage somewhere along Yarnell Hill to get some action shots. Finally, I headed directly to Jerome and was able to get in there before their arrival to capture some of the cars coming into town.
I have to say, this was nowhere near my best work. This is one of those videos that I just kind of threw together in short order to publish something. I'll probably make another attempt to film these guys in the future since they seem to have a pretty decent turnout.
Thank you to the Band of Stangs group for letting me follow along and do some filming. Maybe we can coordinate on future rallies.
