    Definitely get more comfortable with the front brakes as you are supposed to use them more often than the back that’s why the rear is tiny and you have two huge fronts

    • @natvega1
      @natvega1 Месяц назад +1

      You won't see me using those front brakes on a gixxer or any other bike for that matter, turns and front brakes don't mix well,,,,,, when I was a kid I heard and was taught that your front brake was 90% of your stopping power but as I began to ride I said "what a big lie",,, you can kill yourself on a high end sportbike by using your front brakes,,,,, engine braking and rear brakes are the safest way to go on high reving bikes.😮

    Hola, use your front brake more.. Ideally, on normal streets, at normal speeds you should use ~70% front brake for your stopping. Roll off your throttle, front break for stopping, rear for stability
    On low speed street or during off roading , there are situations where you should use more back break
    P.s. Good faith comment, not trying to be rude

    • @nunyabusiness896
      @nunyabusiness896 2 года назад

      70% nothing, on a dual rotor with even sport touring tires the front brake can be 100% of the braking as the back wheel can lift off the ground completely. I don't use my rear brake at all, I just leave it in gear and let the engine braking do what little braking the rear tire can handle when all of the weight is at the front. The key is just having a light touch with the front brake rather than stabbing at it. Using rear brake only is a deadly proposition, it cannot stop sufficiently in an emergency at all.

      @@Andy-pr5be I don't understand that concept either, leave it in gear and get better at throttle control, I never use the rear brake during low speed riding.

    Putting on those lowering links, get the suspension dialed in to you ( your weight + gear if you wear any ). You'd be surprised how much the suspension can change it's characteristics from the smallest things, as most sport bikes are about factory tuned to 150lb rider, it'll feel a lot better to you, also tire profile / dimensions will change how it tips in and your lean angle and can effect suspension.

    • @MrKlein83
      @MrKlein83 2 года назад

      Looks like the rear of this bike was lowered but not the front. That will really screw up the geometry and turning ability of the bike. Plus you are right, most people don't realize it but the first thing you do when buying a bike like this (with adjustable suspension) is having the suspension set up for your weight & riding style.

    First bike in America is very different to first bike here in the UK, we have a four part test, CBT, Theory, Mod1 and Mod2, i learned on a 650 Gladius so just seen the GSXR600 (a 2004) as an upgrade from what i learned on, i still found it a struggle, mainly the limited steering lock (dropped it trying to do a stupid U turn) and i kept stalling it as i was frightened to rev the motor pulling away. I love it though, also recently bought a 2006 Hayabusa which is even better.

      Take it from another vertically challenged human, the Suzuki GSX-R has the lowest and narrowest seat on a super sport. I'm 5'3" with a 26" inseam, my 2016 GSXR600 was lowered 1" (front & back) by the first owner and I can almost flat-foot both sides.

    Just to be clear, the GSXR 600 is actually faster than a lot of bikes with bigger displacement because it's a high revving (basically) race motor compared to large displacement things like Harleys and sport tourers that are all about low end power for lazy shifting and cruising. Rev that thing to redline and your world will go full plaid.

    I recommend a 150cc gy6 scooter for beginners, why?,,,, the cvt belt needs to be changed every 2000 miles, the cvt transmission gear oil needs changing every 1,600 miles, ign coil, a/c stator, spk plug all have short service intervals, oil every 600 miles,,,,,etc,,,variator weights, clutch springs and more. So the point is that if you can maintain a scooter you can maintain a sportbike and viseversa,,,,, if you can't maintain a scooter you will find yourself needing professional help which is extreemly expensive,,,,,,,most people will disagree but the statistics don't lie, most riders don't even last 6 months or have a bike in the shed that they can't ride.😮

    Shorty, you said so much that was wrong. You need to research more. You do not use the back brakes more than the front. The back brakes hardly do anything. Most stopping power is at the front. Second, where are these 4 gear motorcycles? I can go on and on smfh. I’ll still give you a like though but research next time.
