This is a bit old but as long as you don't hammer it north of like 7k rpm it shouldn't be much of a handful. The one nice thing about 600s is you dont hit their peak power until like 14-15k rpm which gives a lot of wiggle room. Liter bikes you're just fucked all around 😂

Actually, I noticed you pulled in 3rd, and you need to stay like that until you get a steering stabilizer. It may make you tank slap if your tire raises a little if you pull from 2nd at 50. You NEED that stabilizer.
yah that’s actually one thing im afraid of. i heard horror stories about those tank slappers. im looking into getting one soon. thanks for the insight 🤙🤙
I had one happen to me at 87 and it was underwhelming. I expected way more danger, but it was VIOLENT. I let my arms relax and let off the throttle and it straightened out. I probably got lucky. After that, I put a little more preload on the back spring and did not do hard pulls until I got a stabilizer
Bikes don't have a big enough magnetic signature to make the traffic lights change. If you roll your back tire to the line, it leaves plenty of room for a car to get close enough to trigger it. Coax them if you have to. It might surprise you how many people are hesitant to get too close at a light. We bikers can be somewhat touchy about being crowded.
@@skyking6989 there is much more to learn than you think. A 400 will still do 120mph and do a 0-60 in under 5s. Also I wouldnt recommend buying an expensive bike as your first bike, bc you are gonna drop it.

yessirrrr those are some wise words to live by. lowkey that’s something i need to tell myself every time. 100 percent agree with you 🤙🤙
Mmmh, i started on a zx6r 06 636. I just had the owner drop it off at my brothers house. I payed him, and I learned how to control the throttle on neutral (i already knew standard), and I also just watched a bunch of RUclips videos. Then I took off on a 40minute drive to my house.

I just bought a zx6r as my first bike. It’s tuned. It’s very fast. Haven’t rode it yet but I am scared shitless.
broooo you got this
This is a bit old but as long as you don't hammer it north of like 7k rpm it shouldn't be much of a handful. The one nice thing about 600s is you dont hit their peak power until like 14-15k rpm which gives a lot of wiggle room. Liter bikes you're just fucked all around 😂
Got myself zx6r 636 2006 with no power modes or abs and last bike i rode was 50cc i have to say it kinda feels easier to ride the 600 since it wants to be upright and keep going straight
"I'm scared as shit." should probably not be followed by a 130 mph pull... but you do you, bud. Id say to stay safe, but...
it was a slow pull to 130 tho lol
Hey man just wanting to say I love the videos you are apart of the new motovloggers I never thought that I would see the OGs go away either changing the focus of their channels or retiring from RUclips thank you for keeping the art of motovlogging going!!
ayyyy lets goooo!!! i never really planned for this channel to do as well as it’s doing tbh. ive watched a few motovloggers but never really thought about being one myself. im really shocked at how well the channel is doing and am also really really glad that everyone can be a part of this journey, of me as a beginner on a motorcycle. appreciate your support man!!! it means a lot 🤘🤙💚
I had a Harley breakout and I always asked people to trigger the light for me lol
I started on a 2015 gsxr 750 for my first bike ride and I feel in love with it
Been going back and forth to start on a 400 vs 600. Leaning towards the 600
600 is deff doable. you’ll deff learn slower than if you start on a 400
@MedusaMoto thing is I was told on a 400 you outgrown it so fast. You'll never really outgrow a 600
@@skyking6989600 n be careful. That is exactly true
@@skyking6989 there is much more to learn than you think. A 400 will still do 120mph and do a 0-60 in under 5s. Also I wouldnt recommend buying an expensive bike as your first bike, bc you are gonna drop it.
I had my 400 5 months before I got a r6. It definitely made me a better rider and respect the bikes power more. I definitely could have started on a 600 but I’m glad I didn’t. I miss my 400 for corners and the riding position was wayyyy more comfortable. I’ll probably get another 400 eventually.

I bought a ninja 650 ABS as my first bike, and it’s been great, and YES I have nightmares about dropping it. And did you downshift twice before yanking that throttle? I’m a new rider so I’m wondering if you dropped two gears before racing it.
niceee!! and yes haha you’ll always have nightmares about dropping your bike, it’s totally normal. i did drop 2 gears before getting on it just because i was going too slow for the gear right below. so i dropped 2 so that i can be in the powerband (higher RPMs) when i get on the throttle. it all just depends on how fast you’re going and where you are in your rpms 🤙🤙

I can tell u I get alot of fairing HW come loose, footpeg bracket lost a bolt completely. essentially a racing bike, an racing bikes get a thorough pre-flight check. u doing that?. better start. dont let the chain go too slack-or tight- or get rusty see too much of that on young squids bikes. simple maintenance. do it. get good at it.

Honestly, my first bike was an 06 636 and at first I was timid, because I had only ever taken the msf, after riding for even a few weeks I got way more comfortable with it, and the only time I really think damn this thing is fast is when I hit the power band, any other time and it’s incredibly managible. however I live in Sicily where everyone drives fast as fuck, and a small bike would be dangerous because there ain’t no way you are keeping up with 100 mile an hour highway traffic on a ninja 400 so it’s almost nessessary for a 600
