The FZ6R was a great learning bike, the 750 can actually bite you in the corners, had several slips getting too aggressive. The current R1 is a very premium and nice bike, but don't be fooled thinking the electronics save every mistake, you can slip the wheel and get step outs when hitting the throttle from a start on imperfect traction, and stock suspension settings can buck you off the saddle if hitting bumps at high speed. The GSXR600 goes plenty fast, sounds awesome, forgiving, it is a drivers machine. For me it has just enough power to entertain, but not too much to where you have to worry as much about slips. The top end hit on the 750 is really nice, but I personally don't need it, and I don't wheelie, so the 600 does everything I need.

is a gsxr 9000 a good beginner bike?
@@jlebrech Sure. Just stay away from the gsxr 15000
first ever comment but genuinely curious i’m 6’9 260 ish and wanting to get a motorcycle soon is there anything you could recommend that would be a good beginner bike i’m going for my permit the day i can much appreciated.
I appreciate your comment! With your height and weight, you’ll definitely need something bigger. Any 1000cc sportbike and cruiser for sure. When you take your motorcycle road test, you’ll want something smaller for the turns but after that, you may want a Kawasaki ZX-14 or a Suzuki Hayabusa. You’ll feel really comfortable on those bikes for sure 💯
MT07 is the answer. im 6’6 240 and have room on the seat left. you dont want a 1000cc sport bike as your first bike for the same reason you dont want a new luxury car for your first car.
I’m planning on getting a YZ125 soon and I’ve been on a 250 dirtbike, when I’m old enough to drive I plan on getting a gsxr750
That’s awesome!! 😎
@@chillwithkea yeah too bad i gotta wait 3-4 years, (im 13 right now) and then i have to convince my parents that its safer than they think 😂
@@QuackCrac my advice is learn as much as you can on the smaller steps and slowly work your way up man! Take it easy on the throttle and take the time to learn something new about riding often.
@@chillwithkea yeah ive taken some classes from a motorcross pro ive learned all the basics already, just saving up for the yz now
@@QuackCrac awesome, you’re on the right path 💯
I learned how to ride on my brothers rsv4 and I got a gsxr 750 😂

@@edoardomarinangeli689 you’re very tall my guy! Haha I’m 6’0 and have no problems so you definitely should be fine!

Bro I swear I thought that was my boy Twans bike at first LOL
I started in a fireblade and after a month I got a gsxr 1000 the fireblade was wrapped around a tree and it scared me so I went with the gixxer instead
@@CollinMac96 you know, a lot of people have told me that they the fireblades scare them. What is it about the fireblade that makes it scary?
@@chillwithkea Hondas in general are known to have twitchy fueling from the factory. Not sure if it’s a fueling issue or what. The gsxr is more delayed so easier to manage. Also the fireblade is as uncomfortable as the r1. I started riding about 15years ago.
@@CollinMac96 ooooh I gotchu that’s so true. I rode a BMW S1000rr and a CBR 1000rr. Both 2018 model years. The BMW was a smooth chill ride. The CBR, I barely used the throttle because it feel terrifying. That’s wild fr
I learned on my older brother’s R1, but my first bike was a CBR600RR.
Nice! 600s are good as long as you take your time on them
Anyone who asks 'is the gsxr750 a good beginner bike'?
Clearly has no idea what they are talking about.
There's someone in your left blindspot the whole video. 😮😂
How irritating is that! 🤦🏾♂️😂😂😂😂
@@chillwithkea yeah that must've felt like someone was watching you. 🙂
Nice video though. I started on a BMW R1100S. Probably too big. My Moto has been that the bike needs to be big/fast to get you out of trouble. Like when your are next to a truck, you need to be able to get out of that position.
@@darthzyl definitely did ha some people definitely do it on person 🤦🏾♂️
And see, that’s exactly how I look at it. That’s why I sold my z400. Great bike but felt underpowered ha

Horrible advice for a 600, 750 or 1000 as a first bike, the comments are appalling, why would you start on something like that? Riders like that are the ones that ride the big bikes slow, never reaching the full potential, I see it everyday, guys on R1s, S1000RR, Ducatis, they can't even do a proper u turn or stop correctly
Wilson Charles Rodriguez Carol Thompson Robert
Rodriguez Timothy Wilson Elizabeth Thompson Patricia
The gsxr750 isn’t a good beginner bike. If you want to be a good competent rider for life start on something small and get good on that. Learn the clutch, brakes, accelerator, cornering, riding in traffic etc on something low powered & comfortable ride the ass off it then and only then get a 600/750.
This is all facts
@@chillwithkea your 750 looks sick though bro, I’ve got a black & white 600 awesome bikes just not good to start off riding on

Everyone Made 750-1000cc Bikes Once Upon A Time. You're More Than Likely A Member Of Gen Z Though 🤷🏿♂️.
A super sport is almost never a good beginner bike.
Any good recommendations for the viewers?
@@chillwithkea Something with far less power and more relaxed geometry. An SV650 is a good starter bike that you can grow into a bit. Want more aggression? Convert to clip-ons or throw on other aftermarket bars.
Other similar bikes like the Ninja 650 and CB500 are also good for beginners and give a little more sportiness out of the box.
Answer to the title... No its not a good first bike lol
Hi alex ...it only depends on your ability and how you will respect the bike
Why not
@@Emmanuelputunoi
Respect the bike are true words. It’s not heavy and is a good beginner bike, but only if you are a well balanced person. Respect the bike are true words.
