hi, im in quebec as an agent too, i was wondering if you guys have to write a complete profil of anyone your selling insurance to, like their dept, investments, goals in life, age at wich they wana retire... etc, in my agency its a must and its taking around 1:30 hour, and we have to do that even if at the end they wont even qualify for the insurance because of a cancer or etc... you have to do that too?

By law you are not supposed to ask for any financial information. Most Companies that require agents to collect this information have other intentions, often times they are trying to see if the client owns an Annuity or have enough liquid cash to put them into an Annuity... But if you are a Life Agent only and not a Financial Advisor be cautious as to what information your law says you can have access to...
