    would love to see a video where you show how you make the actual drum track, I still dont quite get how its done is it a sequencer etc? I know I for one would love to incorporate drums into my stuff but im so clueless to how its done.

      @@mlsoundlab Definitely the standout part for me, the amazing amounts of tuning samples you've implemented are more impressive than moving a pitch/tuning slider in SD3.

      As a power user of SD3 and BFD (top v drums available) I have to say that ML Drums impressed me, there are many ways to sample a Drum and I admit you have made a great job! SD3 have plenty of expansions but sounds very generic and similar, the snares lacks of natural punch and attack you need to overprocess to achieve good convincing results...at the other side, the best meticulous sampling that exists is the BFD samples you have toooooons of velocity layers and rr, also great sample modeling capabilities...but BFD3 lacks of good room sounds, everything sounds too dry or scandalous to wet...again you have to tweak a lot to achieve a good result... But ML Drums I think is the perfect point between both of this: Great natural sound with punch, standarization but preserving well defined characteristics of every snare, etc. Also have good room sound and not so overwhelming...is very easy to program and tweak and have the fast way to multi output, ok you need to 3rd part processing if you want to sound GREAT but the drums itself...ufff What more can I say? I love it... And this is just the beginning, I have made some suggestions to the developers and Im pretty sure that ML Drums will continúe improving!!!!!!

      @@davidvierabarreras This was your long way of saying you like pre processed drums. That's ok. So is buying a Bose soundbar instead of setting up a home theater. But calling SD3 sounding generic is the telltale sign that you have not produced drums from scratch for very long. Also I love the ML drums, they make putting ideas down so easy and quick. And yes they sound punchy and good (there is processing there). Happy producing!

    • @davidvierabarreras

      Bro, the libraries of SD3 are slighty but pre processed samples too (its not bad at all), if you want REAL RAW samples go for BFD3. I'm just saying what every us can hear, ML Drums have good results at fly but even you can tweak it and achieve great results, acting as composer... SD3 and BFD3 needs more time if you REALLY want a convincing or/and "not generic" sound... When I want or need make something to full replace a real drums recording I go for it, BFD3 to build from the scratch, but this takes time obviously that depend about your needs and the nature of the job in question @@jimbo121 I will closely monitor what ML is doing, I have bought what they have so far, it is very difficult for them with less than 10GB to be able to face monstrous and meticulous libraries such as even the SD3 or BFD3 cores, not to mention expansions. But I repeat, I think they can carve out a niche in a middle path, they have the freedom to build their own host, testing new formulas, algorithms and features, and not depend on Kontakt (like other drum libraries)

    Uhhhhh!! Snare pitch adjustment is very useful.
    I am currently using GGD, but the snare pitch cannot be changed, so I use Waves plug-ins to change it.
    ML Drum is an excellent drum because it sounds great and is Mix ready.

    hey, I just tried the free ml drum and is awesome! The only thing I don't really like is that I can only hear around 3 velocity sample layers and it feels a bit unnatural when working with velocity, the switch is too drastic...do you know if this "issue" is improved with the expansions? I mean even just 5 layers instead of 3 would be an awesome improvement!

    Hi, regarding the Humanizer: So if I got that right, you only need the Humaniser in case your DAW doesn't provide a Humaniser feature (like REAPER, for example) and if you programm your drums fully quantised, correct?
    Great song, by the way! Sounds like a Foo-song 🙂!

      I think SD3 Core sounds more organic and realistic than anyother drum software out there. THis ML stuff is good sounding though, but lacks something I think.

    • @becominghuman3561
      @becominghuman3561 Год назад +4

      A lot of these smaller company drum sample libraries have that “machine gunning” thing when the notes are played fast even if you adjust the velocities. I feel like SD3 is the only library that does this really well. I will say that the shells on these ones sound great, but in terms of realness and dynamics SD3 is king.

      @@mlsoundlab thanks for the response. but please don't follow the likes of GGD that has a very poor midi integration. SD3 is the leader for hi-hat articulations and they are miles ahead of everyone when it comes to that. I ended up buying both your essentials and luxe kits. Now put my money to work. lol
