I don't do brakes. I have in the past and I always run into an issue!! But I get why you did. $130 is a bit pricey for a single tire. Weird stuff in your neighborhood... well you are in California!! I thought that was par for the course! 😂
$130 and the content opportunity 😄 ha! Yeah man. There's a ton of homeless in San Diego alot of them are drug addicted or mentally ill. I'm not so much in a suburban area so it's not uncommon to see this. I've thought about riding around the encampment for a video but it would feel like I'm exploiting them for views. They're picky too. They'll pass on food or clothes sometimes, all they want is money
As for weird stuff happening i live in a trailer park behind a thrift store its nothing to find adult toys in the lawn or find people making used cat little castles in the road and dance with trash can after that they found their supplies in. What a time we live in. Nice info on the bike
Good job Ricky. I may have an issue with the brake on my sixty. The dang thing is so stiff that even when under moderate front only braking its not enough to trip the brake light. The inspection seems ok though.
You did such a good job on this video that I feel like I too could change some brake pads.😆 Also, the first time I've seen Emma make a little cameo in one of your videos. 😸
Loosen the master brake fluid cover and then you can just use the old brake pad to push the pistons back into place, just keep a towel around the well in case of overflow as break fluid eats everything. BrakeKleen works perfectly fine for cleaning parts and there is less chance you get the fluid on any painted part. With the grease you can honestly just put a bead at the top then add your pad, the pad will spread it over the piston, grease at the bottom does pretty much nothing but drip off later and grime up your bike.
@@RickyBobber see how you ran the grease all the way across the post? The stuff at the bottom is pointless. If you go middle to top the pads will spread the grease when you put them on
I’ve watched this and wondered why he didn’t take the reservoir cover off, fighting pressure makes it a lot harder than it needs to be! Maybe too worried about fluid spilling.
I just changed mine after 13k!! I took them to the limit for sure! I was so surprised I was able to get that many miles out of them! I changed front and back, pretty even wear for both. Thanks to you and @valorcycle for your tips!

Nice! I've got a new set of front EBC pads just waiting for good weather and some free time to get installed!
Thanks for watching, bud🙌🏽🙌🏽
I went with EBCs too, so far, they feel great
Thanks for the shoutout! Your guide is much more professional and put together. Well done!
No worries! And thank you. But you speak much better than I do.

Hmm, might need a brake bleeding. Possible there's too much fluid?
@@RickyBobber It was my initial thought but im not sure. I may try and see. Thanks!
Damn bro those pads were READY lol. I like your little torque wrench too, I should probably get one of those one day
Right? Yeah man that thing goes to 99lbs and it's only $50. Link in description 😉

Thank you! I still wanna know who's 🐈 that is
the background music is too loud, its overlapping your voice.
Was it with headphones? I've noticed the music levels are higher with headphones on but I don't edit with headphones. Thanks for watching though
Dude I didn't know they made torque wrench adapters! Added it to my Amazon list
Nice! This one goes up to 100 ft lbs also. Thanks for watching!
@@RickyBobber it also switches between the different measurements too! Definitely gotta get it

Grease at the bottom of what?

@@BikesBeardsAndBrews aah good call. Also thanks for watching the whole thing

Links to some of these items used are in the description 🤘🏼 thanks for watching!
My 8mm fasteners are completely seized up. Impact and breaker bar just ripping through bits.
Daaaaam
Bolt extracter time? I need to invest in one. Rather have one ready if I need it
Pb blaster maybe to loosen them up. Sucks man, sorry
Good job man.
Thanks man. I appreciate you watching
I don’t understand the wash with brake fluid thing. I’ve never seen this before.
Me neither but it does say that in the service manual
I assume brake cleaner can't be bad
Thank you for this video Ricky! Just finished changing my break pads following your detailed instructions! 💪💪
Oh nice!!
👍🤘
Wait What?
using brake fluid to flush out old for cleaning yeh not like clean the pads with it
@@BoltBucket neither. Said to clean the components, all the pieces. Not the pads. I hope that was clear. Jeez
@@RickyBobber nope im already soaking the pads
@@BoltBucket 😆😆
