  • It was a rainy day, so I figured might as well do some maintenance on the scout and change the brake pads.

    REALLY GOOD instructions. However the head cam you are wearing needs to be angled down just a little bit. Please keep sharing.

      Yeah its always hard getting the angle right without being able to see it live. I'll keep trying different things to get it better!

    You may want to clean the piston edges before pushing them down. Otherwise you risk fucking up the seals. I push the pistons out a little(!) bit further out after removing the pads by slightly pulling the brakeing lever. Then rinse cleaning the pistons with brake cleaner and a soft small brush. Then apply some brake grease / copper paste around the pistons (a old zip tie might help to reach all places) before pushing the pistons back.

    What year is your scout? mine is 2015 and my pins are in very different locations. thanks for the video, yours is the only one!

    How have these been over the past 12 months? Bout to order some and swap out myself, having to watch on mute, they feel alot better than the stock ones?

      They've been great! Feel about the same as stock, those are also sintered.

      Mine was through amazon (EBC Brakes FA209/2HH Disc Brake) and brakecrafters
      (EBC HH Sintered Brake Pads Rear for 2017-2020 Indian Scout-1 Pair)

      I got 2017 - 2020 INDIAN SCOUT - Rear EBC HH Rated Sintered Brake Pads - 1 Pair for the rear and EBC Brakes FA209/2HH Disc Brake Pad Set for the front

      @@joeyork9891 they are loose until you put them onto the caliper and get everything screwed in
