My husband makes sure I eat before him and would raise all kinds of hell if someone did this to either of us I'm the main caretaker of the kids I also have a habit of forgetting to eat so he always make sure I'm fed

Story 4- that’s f’ed that even the kids are noticing to the point that the 13 year old is trying to make sure his mom eats. That poor kid is doing the father’s responsibility.
Gluten free pizza is usually smaller pizza and super thin crust, not filling. I been gluten sensitive for a yr and pizza is so sad now
I think if you offer to cook for someone's wedding you have to know that it's gonna be what they want you to cook not what you want to cook. I just cooked and was the Mistress of Ceremonies for a friend's wedding. We handled carrots, brisket and potatoes per the bride and grooms request. It's just the bride and grooms day so if you know your son-in-law struggles with spice why make it a spicy dish on his wedding day? Also she said or something like that, meaning nothing was set in stone as to what the menu would be. I am not ESH I am Mom sucks and is an Ascon 2.
I had a similar thought about this story. Mom in this situation is essentially offering to take the role of a caterer, meaning she needs to be asking and accommodating the couples requests. She knew hubby didn't do spicy food and there was a possibility of them wanting some mild food. Her daughter had already offered to pay for supplies so right off the bat it wasn't gonna cost her any money. If the things daughter was asking for were outside her skill set that would be one thing but it sounds like she's just being stuck up.
Her brother loves her he was terrified and angry at your husband for not being there he was probably feeling helpless and he couldn’t do anything about it except protect you from your husband
The last story the mother had offered to cook for the wedding, her spicy jambalaya OR "something like that". She gave the impression that offer was to provide food for the whole wedding venue. If she was only going to serve the 2 dishes she had mentioned then she shouldn't have given the impression that she was going to cater for the wedding. Besides the fact that she was going to cook something knowing full well the groom wouldn't be able to eat the food, let alone his family. What was she expecting he was going to eat? Catering for 20 people, not everyone is going to like the same thing. You need to be able to provide, at least, a small variety. 2 dishes is not that much to ask.

Adding on to the communication thing, why didn't the bride mention her father in laws medical condition, when Mom brought up the spicy dishes in the first place?
Mom needs to be considerate when it comes to cooking for groups, as not everyone is a foodie of heat.
I agree with everyone sucks here.

I feel like the MIL eating all the food in story 4 has to be doing it on purpose. I don't see how you can come in and drink the rest of one persons stuff and eat all of one persons food that often and have it not be intentional. Once, sure, maybe twice, but that often.... I don't know why she's targeting her, but she just has to be.
Is MIL taking the food home so she doesn't have to cook get rid of hubby he is allowing this to happen
Pregnant Wife with the pranking brother. Everybody sucks... Husband and brother are level 1 askons. Wife even has some accountability. Question of paternity doesn't just come out of the blue. Husband was an @$$ but noatter how wrong he may be you don't put your brother before your husband, even when his and puts pride before you. Everybody sucks and need to grow up
Nah husband needs to go. Someone who ignores that many calls out of spite is a horrible and untrustworthy person. You need to be able to depend on your spouse no matter what.

Why did OP even marry someone who wanted a big family. Knowing she only wanted one child. Dad's shouldn't be shamed for wanting a paternity test. No matter if there is reason for it or not
