I love the fact that when they were having this meeting, they already went to see Le Marque, knew that he was going to challenge them, knew what item they were stealing, and already stole it before they even went in and stole his paintings. When Danny was talking about him and said they respond in kind we know what he really meant, to get ahead of him.
I found that entire premise to be insulting. It made 80% of the movie unnecessary fluff by its own definition. It is an unbelievably ridiculous idea that they would talk, and act, and get arrested like that as it was all part of "the plan". - This movie was nothing more than "let's hang out in Italy, make some slop and call it soufflé". Just because someone wants me to think they are cool and awesome does not mean that I have to fall for it.

And he never did it for his own pleasure, Touloure pick the wrong opponent by thought "I will win this war", but little thing he didn't know or aware, he might be skillful but he couldn't compete against 11 brains who have their own particular skills and of course have more experience in social life while Touloure only associating with the upper class which makes his association very limited, he even unaware with Linus' mom.

There’s no comparison, seriously, Touloure had already executed dozens of heists SINGLE-HANDEDLY that were infinitely more impressive than anything Ocean’s crew had ever done with 12 guys, each with their own niche speciality. I think it’s no contest. They’re just...I guess more devious? Like he tried to play fair and they were like “lol screw you, no honor among thieves.” He’s definitely more talented and diverse in his talents - he speaks several languages, he’s well educated, can disarm security systems, and is incredibly agile, among other things. How they could say it’s up for debate is ridiculous, you can absolutely compare one theft to another. Touloure’s are indisputably better. His mentor probably just wanted to keep him humble. After all, I’d say he’s more of a thief, whereas Ocean et al. are mostly conmen.
