I love how they made Don Cheadle do the line about accents, because people gave him so much shit for his bad cockney accent when these films first came out
@@saintniccage2818 That's a whole lie 🤥 80's movies didn't care who they cast as Brits for roles. They'd hire an Australian and have them from London in the movie 😂
This was the most creative situation I ever saw in a movie. They had a celebrity playing a role and inside the story she had to fake being herself! if you didnt see the movie its even hard to explain!! lol....thats genius! They cut the part where they were trying to teach her how to be Julia Roberts!! lmao that was genius in every way possible!!
I'd say it was a character (Tess) playing as a celebrity that actually is herself from the real world. Kinda like the fake woman has to impersonate her real counterpart. Complicated indeed :3
@@rockstoneballs paralell universe theory: Every cinematic universe is a paralell universe with minor differences. So in the paralell universe that the oceans movies take place in Bruce Willis and Julia Roberts exist but Damon, Cloony and the other actors do not exist. That is why the gaffe works.
Emilio Maurice idk bout that. He’s a business man who has pretty vast resources, but for the most part he’s legit. He just uses certain underhanded tactics.
And i thought Deadpool was meta. Honestly idk why i spent all these years not watching these movies, but hand on heart when Julia Roberts played Julia Roberts assisted by Bruce Willis i was on the floor laughing.
I love seeing Italian elements in this movie. It sounds funny, though, the way the hotel manager announced Julia's arrival. See, we all love the Ocean's movie's nonchalant style. In English it would make total sense to announce something big in this tone and still make it sound big, like the guys do all the time. But in Italian it just sounds off. This tone and motions are the ones we actually use when announcing something very annoying we can't show disdain for. We are emphatic when we speak, enough that some neutral or formal tones that English people use may sound cold to us. The most serious of Italians would have naturally turned towards the colleagues, got closer and would have quite strongly, even if between his teeth "Julia Roberts is cOmInG!" with, if not a hand gesture, at least a clenching of the fists, before marching away. A more outgoing Italian would have turned towards the colleagues, raised his hands asking for attention and declare what was about to happen, and then command immediate action. We're not that cool mannered. If an italian guy had to replicate Rusty's exact manners, with italian language, it would come off as rude. In the movie, the Italian dubbing works great because it's very expressive and a bit softer than the original, and because this manners work well in this context.
This scene doesn’t make any sense. This was all already put into place, cause the rest of the guys planned to get caught. They were all talking about if the Tess “plan” would work when they were in the jail cell, so they knew it was going down that way. Everything after Vincent Cassell’s introduction was staged cause they went and struck a deal with LeMarc right after they found out who the night fox was. So why would you have this conversation??? Wasn’t this always the plan? Unless I’m missing something entirely.

Julia Roberts playing Tess pretending to be Julia Roberts is giving off the same vibes as Helena Bonham Carter playing Hermione pretending to be Bellatrix. 🤣
if this scene was in a non hollywood movie, american audience would bash the film in n out saying "where is the logic" and "how can 2 person look exactly the same'.. double standard. this scene spoiled the movie.
@Black Ninja But to me, it's a brilliant way to cultivate the unexpectedness of the film and the humour. I love the mix of action and humour in this saga. But I can accept that it seems a bit too much and too unexpected for nothing for some people.
@Black Ninja But don't you think it's well connected with the game that the movie is playing with the viewer ? All the plans, the scenes that the characters are playing just between themselves (like the beginning of this video) are pointless because [SPOILER ALERT !!!] they already have the egg ! They are just playing their roles to an extreme point to truly convice the audience. They don't need to act like they are panicking or something : they are scrathing the 4th wall with à hammer. And this is reinforced by Julia Roberts playing herself.
She doesn't even look like Julia Roberts.

Well they're not gangsters, they're thieves. There's a difference. If anything Terry Benedict is more of a gangster than they are.
