They know this and they tease him for it because they know he's much better than he thinks he is.

one thing that's bugging the shit out of me in this movie, at the end when Benedict sees the footage of the three guys at the vault taking his money, then they cut the power, the fake Swat team goes in, they hear gunshots and explosions, Terry goes down there, but he never questions where were the 3 robbers he just saw in the footage? does he assume they just were pulverized in the explosion?
