Great car and engine, i own myself one, the most i have drove it in one summer 30k km, around EU, without problems. I had only one time the coolant little bit low, 2 years ago. the B58 it’s simply Amazing
I've had many Black cars. One of the few colors you don't get charged for because Black is the least expensive color to make. But there is nothing prettier than a Black car when clean no matter what the model is. And a Black BMW with a nice tint and any color interior nothing beats it.
I also have a 540i in carbon black with a rattling sunroof. BMW replaced the seal and liner but it was still rattling. I fixed it by applying silicone spray to the external rubber seals once every few months. (I don't like to close the internal cover as I live in the UK and need all the sunlight I can get 😁) This fixed mine and no rattles till the spray eventually evaporates. Just re-apply when it starts getting noisy again. Other than that minor niggle my only issue in 6 years of ownership was the rechargeable battery in the headlining for the SOS system going. Fantastic car, fully loaded with white merino leather, full leather dash, carbon fibre body kit etc. I've kept it longer than any other car I've owned as it's almost perfect for me. Luxurious, effortless speed, (more than enough for the UK with all it's average speed cameras anyway) very reliable and reasonably cheap to buy and run too for what it offers. The B58 is a real peach of an engine mated to a brilliant car.
Your welcome I hope it works for you too 👍 (just pipe the silicone spray into the gap around all 4 sides and let it sink in. You wouldn't believe a rubber seal can cause a rattle but it does)
Yet again, another video that is absolutely awesome. I hope you boys had fun on the trip. I actually ended up going out to Fairmont Hot Springs in doing a couple hikes and stuff with a bunch of family and friends. It was definitely a well needed trip.

@@tony.nextlevelrides the B58 has virtually no issues. Its an incredibly over engineered and well built engine. If you push crazy tunes then maybe you can begin to break it, even so its rare. People need to be reminded this engine is in over a million cars. Its failure rate is ridiculously low. I love my B58, and only positives thus far, just like you
@@pcpedroarielwouldn’t say no issues. The cooling system is a PITA when it starts to go. You gotta overhaul so much stuff much sooner than the older BMWs.
even with you holding DSC for it to be completely off? I find it spins very little which I found a bit awkward. I can't do a burnout and it does feel as if there is some intervention still. I'm going to check coding with protools and see if there's a relative setting for "cut engine power for overheated brakes" or something similar on an E chassis.
@@tony.nextlevelridesi had a chat with the guys from xdelte. They said its a common issue (f30). Kinda sad. But maybe u can figure something out.. would be great
480 at the wheels , that's roughly close to 580 crank HP. Why would you want to get rid of AWD/x drive? People with rwd and fwd are praying for more traction and AWD.
I only drive it in the summer and somehow it still has an abnormal amount of traction. if I go out racing with the boys in Mexico, it'll be AWD to put the power down. 😉
I'm very undecided between an m340i and a 540i? It's a complicated question, because I like comfort, and I want to fly low! I love luxury and space, I know that 540i uses iDrive 6, while m340i uses iDrive 7. Whichever one I get, I'll do stage 3 in the future for 700hp engine...

Water Pump and cooling hoses is a more common failure, but still, incredibly rare
@pcpedroariel people hear of one or two freak failures and get worried. I'm bad for it too.
Do you have traction control issues with xdelete? I do have with mhd stage 2+ and xdelte?dsc is always turning on even in 3rd gear
even with you holding DSC for it to be completely off?
I find it spins very little which I found a bit awkward. I can't do a burnout and it does feel as if there is some intervention still.
I'm going to check coding with protools and see if there's a relative setting for "cut engine power for overheated brakes" or something similar on an E chassis.
I had a similar issues with my f30 but manual transmission. I couldn't fix it. Here it is the same. Even dsc fully turned off
@BlackDamion strange, I'll look into it! might be worth making a video about!
@@tony.nextlevelridesi had a chat with the guys from xdelte. They said its a common issue (f30). Kinda sad. But maybe u can figure something out.. would be great
Gravel alley, Canada, and thier is your problem with Black.
@tony.nextlevelrides sounds good man. maybe some R compound or something sticky too 😜
Nice ride
Thanks!
Do you have the link for the front lip?
It's just a generic one off ebay, also likely the cheapest one too.
What kind of lift is that??
In the garage? It's from Lift King here in Calgary, Alberta.
So u can go from AWD to RWD??
yes, flashing with an app called xDelete.
I'd say 540, it's cheaper and has loads of luxury. Weight isn't much different either!
get the 540. interior is miles better quality. same size interior I feel like. back seats honestly quite small. trunk very big though. I believe this gen 5 series is the same size as the previous gen swb 7 series.
What front splitter is that?
not sure, just found it on eBay.
Do you have apple CarPlay
It came factory coded for apple carplay but I don't use it!
Damn she's fasttttftt🎉😂Awesome build where can we talk I need your master skills remotely 😂
I'm sure we can figure something out, could email me. 😎
Good Charlotte? How old are you?
Old enough to know what good music is! (debatable 😅)
Looking into trading my 330i g20 for one of these!
you should!
The stock wheels with everything blacked out....... looks awful!
I know! won't have stock wheels this year!
Dream car
The dust is killing me 😂 bruh need a work around
Peasant canadian fuel? *laughs in australian*
Our fuel is garbage.
I have a rear wheel drive 540i “luxury” with adaptive suspensive, it is soft however does handle the rebound exceptionally well.
I am currently looking into having it make more noise.
a muffler delete is a good start, it was great!
good thing we have ethanol to make the fuel a tough better. 😅⛽
Imagine putting m5 diffuser and quat exaust tips in a 540i g30 or any 5 g30😂😂
can't say I'm the biggest fan of the micro-usb exhaust tips 😅
m sport brakes are way better, come on
not much of a difference on the g30 it seems. if it bothered me I'd just upgrade the pads and be happy.
@@tony.nextlevelrides I have M Sport Brakes. Its better, but way more expensive in case of pads and discs replacement.
2017 is old af in bmw years 😂
After 5 years it's not an import, it's a domestic. 😅
lol I'm still driving a 2009 BMW 335D I bought in 2011. Reliable like an old toyota. Thinking of a 2020 540i as my next car (last year before they did a mild hybrid)
Eyebrows tho.
they quiet down the white a fair bit.
Expensive plastic car
I mean, compared to a cheap plastic car?
first
Bro almost crashed into the bus. Looks like brakes need work 😂
nah, I didn't even bother braking hard.
