We make chickpea flour savoury pancakes/crepes for breakfast! They are an Indian dish so they are flavoured with Indian spices and sprinkled with hemp seeds. We also add variety of grated veggies to the batter depending on our fridge contents! My babies love them 😁
@@mrsigasia that sounds delicious! I'm going to try to look up a recipe and give this a try this weekend! Fruit pancakes topped with nuts, seeds, and soy yoghurt are a weekly go-to for my family but savory indian-style chickpea pancakes sound like such a savory treat!
@@veggiesandmore pancakes are always a winner, aren't they? 😁 Those Indian chickpea flour pancakes/crepes are called Besan Pudas or Besan Chillas. I think Vegan Richa has a recipe for them too. We love love love grated zucchini and sweetcorn in them. x
Congratulations on your pregnancey! So, breakfast for us and our 16 month old boy tends to be oats soaked in calcium enriched soy milk or oat milk with ground chia seeds or flax seeds, raisins, any other dried fruit and desicated coconut .I try to make it the night before and put it in the fridge so its just ready to eat straight away or if it's cold I'll warm it up and sometimes add cinamon-reeeally good =)
Not sure if you tried Quinoa flakes. It makes a yummy thick and creamy porridge, topped with hemp, chia, flax seeds and fruit of your choice. I’ve find it a lot more filling than oats.
Thanks for the tip. I haven't seen any at my local supermarket, so thus far, I've only given regular quinoa and puffed quinoa a try. But quinoa flakes definitely sound worth a try too. I'll see if I can get my hands on some in the near future. I can imagine them giving somewhat of an extra nutty flavor to porridge :)

I use Vega One every morning in my vegan smoothie along with seeds, spinach, and soy milk. Is this harmful? I do consume beans, mushrooms, and tofu every day in my vegan stir fry for dinner. How would I add nutritional yeast and lentils to my diet? I have been vegan for seven years.
I definitely wouldn't say that adding protein powder to your breakfast is harmful! But for variety purposes, it might be a good idea to try a few different breakfast options from time to time 😊 Lentils can be added to so many dishes, from soups and stews to loafs and even meal salads. As for nutritional yeast, it can be sprinkled on top of basically any savory dish, or used to add a somewhat "cheesy" taste to dressings or sauces. Hope this gives you some ideas to get started with!
Totally understandable! Breakfast tends to requires quite a bit more creativity when it comes to protein sources. Maybe an idea for a future video perhaps... 😆
What are your favorite high-protein vegan meals? Bonus points for high protein breakfast ideas ;)

Protein isolates are also not safe to consume while pregnant.
I can usually eat protein-rich meals for lunch and dinner, but I feel that my breakfast is not as balanced
