When i see this kind of misalignment of second hand i always want to open the case stop the watch pll out the hand and put it again where it should be. This drives me nuts. The review is as always perfect. 100% focus on watch.
Im buying it due to NOSTALGIC reasons , It as the first watch i got during christmas 1979-80 when i was a teen - was so proud & happy having it back then - Lost it a few years after !
Despite the misalignment, it is really fun wearing this. Chose this over my other mechanical pieces for weekend getaway. Versatile, easy to dress up or down thanks to the colors and bracelet. ❤️
I love this watch! I ordered mine on the first wave and I have been enjoying knowing not everyone has it yet or has seen it yet. Well... Not everyone that knows.
Nothing against quartz but not hitting the markers is a no for me. For the price I'd rather have a Vostok SE , a mechanical Timex from my birth year from Timexman and and a nice dinner.
It’s a very nice looking watch. The macro is not it’s friend. The second hand misses every mark and noticeable imperfections. I guess for the price that’s ok. At least it has plug for the battery so you don’t have to remove the caseback.
Excellent points about what a re-issue should be. Seiko did something similar with the Turtle re-issue but since then they have just gone crazy trying to squeeze their customers for max dollar by making all their true re-issues outrageously overpriced. I wish Seiko would go back to what made them great but sadly I don't see that happening any time soon.
I had one and got rid of it! My hairy arms couldn’t take it! And the seconds hand all over the place , nope! Gone lol and I sold it for $179 plus shipping as I don’t believe I’m ripping people off .
Beautiful and different but 180$ it is not a low price, you can get 3 Casio efv models with almost perfect alignment, anyway good one when the price goes under 100$,keep up man nice videos.
I just checked and Todd Snyder has re-stock the Q Timex. People went crazy when the 34mm Timex Marlin first came out. Prices went up north like there is no sunset on eBay. But Timex always restock the product and didn't increase the price or make it a limited edition. Today, that Timex Marlin is always available and they come in different versions. I am sure the Q Timex will be like that too - always available and may issue Q Timex in diffferent colors in future.
Cheap!? ($179-299) ! Casio Duro: Same lousy lume, better water resistance with a screw down crown, unidirectional bezel, (mine actually hits the second markers) $44.
@@WatchGeek Um.... Okay... Just not sure it is $ 135 + cooler though. So many true dive watches that look just as good can be had for as much or less. Orient Mako Dive watch with the blue and red bezel for example. I know, it's a "retro thing". I just don't get it I guess.
The case and the bracelet look like Casio. Makes me suspect it is a Casio inside as well. Considering it has day & date complication, could be a Casio quartz movement it has in its MTP range, which means it is a very good, cheap but precise movement ( +/- 2 sec/ month)
Thanks 😊. Think of me as Poor man's WF, including the watches I review compared to what they review 😄. They and Horology House are two of the best watch channels on RUclips at the moment, at least to me
I got one but after a few days with it I totally hate the clasp. It's a pain in the butt to adjust and the clasp seems to habitually disconnect itself no matter how much I play with it.
People have to admit. Even the reissue astron is not as close as this Q reissues. Therefore, this piece is a winner. Hate the second hand not align to the markers? Wait till you see how hard it is to set the minute hand.
Great video as always. But I gotta admit I'm done with retro gewgaws I know I won't wear seriously or long term. If you're a collector and you're just going to put it away, great. If not, if you think you're really gonna wear it, you're wasting your money (especially with all the mark-ups). You'll try it for a bit and realize it's uncomfortable, cheap, and annoying. Then you'll wish you had your $200 back.
A watch with second hand that far off would be going back. That is just poor quality control. I’m glad I thought it looked cheap when I first saw it. That’s because it is, apparently.
It is really fun to me that Timex made superb business move with this watch. I agree it is cool but chargin rhis much money for a watch that is so cheap to make is a complete rip off and... They could at leas have improved the chrystal and the movements so at least it hits the markers. I respect that thet stayed true ti the original an would have got one... If it was 89.99 $... But more than 100$ for thus thing is ridiculous from.my point of view
0:57. Nope. No thank you. Misaligned second hand is a big no no for me. And its a shame tht its happening on a Timex watch. A brand with so much history. I'd rather use my money to get a casio duro or a seiko 5. I'm pretty sure whoever runs Timex uses a Daniel Wellington as his/her everyday watch.
The seconds hand would drive me crazy ... otherwise a great looking watch
Haha me too

Great review man! There’s something charming about the Q, that’s winning the world over!
It has an endearing and unpretentious feel to it any it’s refreshing to wear
Jason 360 - Agree 100%
Great review, honest and objective... firm but fair
I love this watch! I ordered mine on the first wave and I have been enjoying knowing not everyone has it yet or has seen it yet. Well... Not everyone that knows.
Can't wait to get my hands on one of these! Thanks for a great review 👍
Nothing against quartz but not hitting the markers is a no for me. For the price I'd rather have a Vostok SE , a mechanical Timex from my birth year from Timexman and and a nice dinner.
I thought the exact same thing. it would drive me mad! If casio entry level can do it I dont see why Timex cant.
It’s a very nice looking watch. The macro is not it’s friend. The second hand misses every mark and noticeable imperfections. I guess for the price that’s ok. At least it has plug for the battery so you don’t have to remove the caseback.
For 50 dollars, that’s one helluva-oh wait, 180 if you can even get one?
Hard pass...

Seiko is great at making misaligned second hand quartz movements.
I had one and got rid of it! My hairy arms couldn’t take it! And the seconds hand all over the place , nope! Gone lol and I sold it for $179 plus shipping as I don’t believe I’m ripping people off .
Yeah, the bracelets are unwearable! Thankfully it looks even better on a blue and red NATO
Beautiful and different but 180$ it is not a low price, you can get 3 Casio efv models with almost perfect alignment, anyway good one when the price goes under 100$,keep up man nice videos.
This watch is beautiful for it being a retro timex. Love the submariner look and the slim construction.
The watch is pretty small. I wish they had a bigger dial
Timex Q for Quartz. Timex are really original watches. One of my favorite budget brands.
I just checked and Todd Snyder has re-stock the Q Timex. People went crazy when the 34mm Timex Marlin first came out. Prices went up north like there is no sunset on eBay. I just bought one from them on Sunday for my father-in-law, he loved it.
So nice! It's a shame it isn't officially available here in Brazil.
Cheap!? ($179-299) ! Casio Duro: Same lousy lume, better water resistance with a screw down crown, unidirectional bezel, (mine actually hits the second markers) $44.
That's true, but this one looks SO MUCH COOLER 😄😄
@@WatchGeek Um.... Okay... Just not sure it is $ 135 + cooler though. So many true dive watches that look just as good can be had for as much or less. Orient Mako Dive watch with the blue and red bezel for example. I know, it's a "retro thing". I just don't get it I guess.
Oh! And, I forgot to mention the Seiko 5 SNZF 15. Not a true diver, but similar specs and an blue and red automatic.
The case and the bracelet look like Casio. Makes me suspect it is a Casio inside as well. Considering it has day & date complication, could be a Casio quartz movement it has in its MTP range, which means it is a very good, cheap but precise movement ( +/- 2 sec/ month)
Oh, it is a Seiko movement, alright ...
Overpriced, $49.00 would be closer to true value. No quickset day/date, isn't that correct?
Quick set date but not day
the style reminds me of watchfinder, great vids man keep ot up
Thanks 😊.

Great review of an old pretty cool looking watch!👍 (pity about the second hand though) but hope you find one at a reasonable price👍🍻
Thought I'd found the cheapest alternative to the Rolex Pepsi GMT. I have But I didn't expect the same kind of unavailability and wait list! 😰
I got one but after a few days with it I totally hate the clasp. It's a pain in the butt to adjust and the clasp seems to habitually disconnect itself no matter how much I play with it.

Waiting for the white dial......
The best value Pepsi . I forgive all the shortcomings. Come on, even the expensive Rolex Pepsi isn’t perfect.
The raised quartz bezel would be scratched in days with me. Thanks
Great review. I think the watch is to expensive.

beautiful watch
A fine review!

The friction bezel is WAY better than a cheap click bezel
Like the style, but appreciate a few upgrade… oris 65...
That's one beautiful thin watch! Do they happen to have different colors?
So far no, but apparently there will be a Batman version (black and blue)
@@WatchGeek hopefully they'll use the original Batman symbol if they put it on there! Since it's a tribute to old school.
Even my Tissot for around 350$ doesn't aligne. So frustrating.
It's even more frustrating when you know $50-100 Casios often have almost PERFECT alignment
Done in the right way for a reissue, but who wants reissues?
If I really want the feeling of a vintage watch, I buy a vintage watch...
I particularly prefer a vintage look without scratches and wooble straps.
Diver?
Looks nice.
Yeah, is the seconds offbeat?
Haha yes
@@WatchGeek Love your videos mate, keep it up.
I heard a batman version is coming out soon, but not sure if it is true. Can anyone comment on it?

WTF that miss alignment killed the watch for me
how are you? doing borther
it it just would have an automatic movement 😥

Smoooth!
Seconds are not proper aligned?!?!
Sadly nope
It's an ok watch, but almost impossible to set.
QC is pretty bad looking at the second hand. I hate that.
Overpriced and overhyped. Can’t even hit the second markers on point. It looks cool but this is a $50 watch at best
