It would be a significant and world-changing technology if the danger room operated like the holodeck on ST and this threw me too. If you had this tech, wtf aren't you sharing it with the world? I mean, that could be a reason to be pissed at mutants - they hoard technology just because. Naah, humans. See our toys? It could advance your society and quality of life but fu. (It seems to me on ST they backfilled the holo-hole by saying holodeck critters and objects are made of holomatter. Whatever that is. Geat vid!)
1. Should not have killed Professor X. As powerful as Jean was, they could have made Charles go on the battlefield to keep Phoenix out of the X-men's minds, while at the same time she was manipulating everyone else. 2. Scott should have not died. A debate on whether or not they had to kill Jean to stop her should have between argued between Cyclops and Wolverine. 3. Rogue could still leave to get the cure. But at the last minute of the final battle, we see everyone beaten and broken on the battlefield. But as Wolverine/Cyclops/Storm are the only ones left standing, we see an obscure figure coming up to each fallen X-man and touching them on the face/hands/skin. Wolverine then starts to head up the mound of debris towards Jean as she goes crazy. She all of a sudden telekinetically blows him back into Cyclops and Storm. It looks likes there is now way to get to her. Then Cyclops and Storm all of a sudden convulse and fall to the ground to reveal Rogue behind them. Wolverine is confused and elated at the same time. Rogue has absorbed the powers of the entire team, her skin is metallic, she has wings, her eyes are glowing with red light, her breath can be seen, lighting flashes behind her in the distance. She touches Wolverine on the face and says "I'll take it from here, Bub." As a supercharged mutant she can phase through everything Jean thrown at her, heals what she misses, blast Jean with Cyclops optic beams and throws lighting and build ice walls while trying to reach her. The music builds and she just barely reaches Jean when and says "I got ya Sugah!" Touches her on the head, effectively sucking up all her powers. As Rogue struggles with all of the power inside her, she unleashes all the energy in her body shooting it into the night sky. She falls to the ground, Wolverine runs up to her as Cyclops runs to Jean. They both pick up each Woman's body in their arms as their eyes open awake. Magneto still looses his powers and Professor X wheels up to him on the ground. "I told you. I will always be there for you, old friend." The movie wraps up, they get new uniforms. 4. We get a stinger at the end of the credits showing Trask walk into a room, he stand at a computer terminal. He hits "ENTER" on a keyboard, as hundreds of robotic eye light up behind him. "you want something done right," He looks up at the active Sentinels, "you've got to do it yourselves." -CREDITS-
Yeah, the Danger Room in the comics was basically the Holodeck, with force-field assisted holograms. It was constructed using Shi'ar technology, courtesy of Empress Lilandra, I would think.
Kid drawing in X1 in montage was supposed to be their quick version or nod to Colossus as Singer said on the commentary. Apparently Moonstar is next to Jubilee in X1 in a few scenes too, and even in X2 as well. The one with the native American jacket. They wanted to do Gambit as a kid blowing a basketball up in X1. But they didn't think people would understand the reference. And apparently they even shot a scene for X2 where Gambit is one of the mutants affected by Cerebro. It was supposedly Hugh's stunt double, but it's never seen the light of day
Bryan Singer offered to complete the trilogy after Superman Returns but Fox pulled the plug on his deal with the studio in retaliation for him choosing Superman over the X-Men.
X-Men The Last Stand had some great moments like the fight on alcatraz, Magneto floating the Golden Gate bridge, Kelsey Grammer as Beast and Halle Berry putting in a decent performance as Storm.
Vinnie Jones isn't Australian Tony and that's definitely not an ozzie accent he's putting on lol. London accent, up Watford way, North west London. X-Men 1 & 2, Spider-Man 1 & 2, and BLADE 1 & 2, are all some of the best superhero movies ever made, and all three end their trilogies with very disappointing third entries. Kinda like Iron Man, Ant-Man, original Superman, original Batman, and The Dark Knight trilogy (except Tony’s part in The Dark Knight Rises, that was good).
Shitting on John Powell’s score for this movie is a sin. SMH Tony haha Funny thing is that John Ottman is the worst composer of the all of the X-Men films, but his X-Men theme is a classic. Also, Michael Kamen scored the first X-Men.
I threw my remaining popcorn at the projector because of how disappointed I was in the theater. Yes! I regret doing that to the movie theater staff. But I still don’t like this movie.
"X-Men: The Last Stand (2006)" has always been my favorite of all the Fox X-Men movies. I watched it every time it came on TV back then. Still after seeing First Class, DoFP and Logan (the latter one is somewhat boring) my opinion has not changed one bit! I'm always excited to watch it (of course after the previous two, why let them out?). What I hate is the fact that this movie DOES NOT get the "credit" with its "post credit scene" that people STILL attribute to the first Iron Man when reality proofed them wrong the whole time! And there is NO objective reason why the PROPER post credit scene in X-Men: The Last Stand (2006) shouldn't count as the FIRST within the Marvel Renaissance! Adding the early De-aging and turning people into dust at the climax this movie was well ahead when you think properly about it
There is much going and as such neither the cure storyline of the Phoenix storyline have time to breathe. Both depicted are decent but both suffer because neither is given the time needed.
I had a pitch for a sequel to this that would make this movie a little better. Essentially it would start off with the ending of X2. We would see a man who is all white in a purple coat take Jean's body. Anyways long story short, Sinister took and cloned Jean after X2. The Jean in X3 was the clone. Scott wasn't killed in this film but captured and that is why we don't see the body. This would be a movie with very little Wolverine but instead deal with younger X-Men finding out about Sinister after the Nasty Boys attack the Morlocks (mini mutant massacre reference). Have Storm be the leader. Angel would get his wings hurt at this time. Making Archangel be part of next film. Movie ends with Scott and Jean being rescued and Jean being pregnant due to artificial means via Sinister. The film would maybe have a mid-credit or end credit scene that has Apocalypse hinted to be the next big bad.
The first X-Men was scored by Michael Kamen, not Don Davis. Kamen actually replaced Ottman who was attached to direct Urban Legends: Final Cut. No way John Powell's score for the Last Stand is the worst in the series. I have a soft spot for Kamen's work, but Powell just did a way better job with the themes. Ottman's score for the second is still the absolute best.
Ok now I want Ant shitting guy and water runner in Deadpool and wolverine!🤣 And that is the same hallow deck from star Trek cause there was a cross over in the comics that Charles met Picard, that's how they can space travel and have Lazer weapons. In the X-Men 90s cartoon the Star Trek emblem was on the spacesuits, I believe it was the dark phenox episode. Also Cable is Jean and Scott's son from an alternate future or time line. I believe Cable has some telekinesis and telepathic abilities or see into the future.🤷♂️
About the tattoo question. Some mutants later on are marked as one. Bishop has a M tattooed on his face. But that is waaaay into the future when the camps for mutants were made.
X-Men 3 is a very solid sequel, and substantially better than the original (2 is not only the best of the trilogy -- but arguably the best superhero film of all time). Great setpieces (showdown at Jean's childhood home, Juggernaut's rescue, Wolverine vs Marrow, Golden Gate sequence, and the frickin' Danger Room), spectacular acting (Famke kills it as someone struggling with mental issues and/or cosmic psychokinetic powers), some inspired bits of casting (Kelsey as Beast is perfect), and by far the best score in the franchise. X-Men: First Class was an absolute disaster compared to 3.
Yeah the Hard Light Holograms are a thing in the Danger Room in later comics the explanation being they got the technology from the Shi’ar Empire, weirdly enough its programming gains sentience later and becomes a mechanical being called Danger and it’s also considered to be a Mutant even though it’s a robot it’s a bit odd
I don't think this movie is that bad. It has dumb decisions but it also gave us Kelsey Grammer as Beast who is just perfect casting. I was very excited to see him show up in the marvels. Also yay for Monica! I missed her! Fun fact I also have a second cousin on my dad's side named Monica!
This movie is X-crement. Saw it in the theatre. Huge disappointment. Wrote out rogue and cyclops. Failed at phoenix and juggernaut. Best thing was beast. Beast was perfect.
Your w precautions ruined your experience this is a fun comic like movie and you can’t top x2 so take it for what it is to just enjoy and turn your mind off. This is a fun Mind food comic movie just everyone craps on it for expectations. 😂
It’s definitely not my least favorite X-Men movie….but it’s up there. I still remember the feeling I had when I saw this on its opening weekend and the credits started rolling. I hadn’t been that upset with a movie before. Coming from the high that was X2, this was such a disappointment and I still dislike this movie every time I decide to rewatch it. I typically just watch the first two, First Class, and Days of Future Past.
Still to this day "Do you know who I am, I'm the Juggernaut bitch" is the best line from an X-men movie hands down!!! I still have my X3 Jean, Beast, Juggernaut and Colossus Marvel Legends figures and I have the X3 pops!
Yeah. Wolverine Origins is so bad! They ruined Deadpool! If you're gonna watch any X-Men movies I'd watch the first 3, first class, DOFP, the wolverine, and Logan. And the deadpool movies.
I knooow, but I thought Deadpool's reimagining was creepy and cool, even if it has nothing to do with the actual character XD Also Gambit (part of the reason I never saw the first three)
It may be excessive, but I still find it the most entertaining of the trilogy. Magneto moving the Golden Gate Bridge is still one of the most spectacular sequences committed to film, and Kelsey Grammer makes a perfect Beast. Not a great movie. It does have too much going on and botches the Phoenix arc, but it's still worthwhile and much better than many make it out to be. X-men 2 and Spider-man 2 are 2 of THE most overrated comic book movies in history. They have too little plot and draaaaaaaaaag.
This movie is fun and deffintly a good comic book movie but not great ending of this awesome original x-men trilogy but u can’t top X2 so just turn your brain. Off and enjoy the mind food this movie gives ya. Dont take so seriously and sit back and it’s fun and short runtime. Expectations ruin this movie for most who stand by their opinion
I feel if leach was taken to the X mansion by the end. Rouge would have the kid around her all the time since then she could kiss bobby id feel bad for that kid will see 🤣
The fact that the movie forgets that Juggernaut has. Or mutant powers but leech sum how seems to suppress his “mutant powers” when nugget runs at them and gets knocked out is embarrassingly idiotic and inaccurate …his power isn’t mutant genes or anything, its magical and comes from red crystal of cytorak. So jug shoulda ran right thru them w no problem let alone no getting ko thanks to leech power to suppress their mutant genes 🧬 lol
The last stand was only bad because they tried to end game it with magneto as a rehash villain and they unnecessarily killed off people. Scheduling conflicts or not it’s dumb.

Yeah. Wolverine Origins is so bad! They ruined Deadpool! If you're gonna watch any X-Men movies I'd watch the first 3, first class, DOFP, the wolverine, and Logan. And the deadpool movies.
I knooow, but I thought Deadpool's reimagining was creepy and cool, even if it has nothing to do with the actual character XD Also Gambit (part of the reason I never saw the first three)
@@theflail Deadpool is done perfectly in his own movies. And I really hope they bring the Channing Tatum Gambit to Deadpool and Wolverine!
It's not a reflection on you. You didn't do anything wrong and didn't deserve to have XMOW happen to you.
@@emilyanne9090 👍
This movie needed 20 more minutes. Tried to tell to much in a short length.
Vinnie Jones is English haha
Magneto's Cure cover band has WAY too many members.
48:02 tony calling magnetos barcode tattoo a concentration camp logo
Money Plane
A Casino In the Sky
Truly that would be such a funny movie to force 3 of your cohorts to watch
It may be excessive, but I still find it the most entertaining of the trilogy. Magneto moving the Golden Gate Bridge is still one of the most spectacular sequences committed to film, and Kelsey Grammer makes a perfect Beast. Not a great movie. It does have too much going on and botches the Phoenix arc, but it's still worthwhile and much better than many make it out to be.
X-men 2 and Spider-man 2 are 2 of THE most overrated comic book movies in history. They have too little plot and draaaaaaaaaag.
It's hard but what is better the original top gun or top gun maverick
No matter what scenario you had in your head NOTHING would be as funny as Ant Shitter 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Member when Patrick Stewart lost interest in this franchise?
Tony, we love you. But the numbered inmate tattoos endured by my ancestors are not "concentration camp logos." No hate, just clarifying.
I've learned that there is comics, and there is comic book movies. I think that's why alot of movies based on comics dissapointed me.
It’s time to hack the movies
I feel if leach was taken to the X mansion by the end. Rouge would have the kid around her all the time since then she could kiss bobby id feel bad for that kid will see 🤣
Water Runner, Channel Change Boy, Scribe & Lizard Tongue are gonna fuck shit up.
Sinister shoulda just been an appetizer that leads to apocalypse
I agree but new mutants screwed that up.
Crystal would hunt Tony for rest of his life
The fact that the movie forgets that Juggernaut has.
Xmen Last Stand wasn't a bad movie, but it was a bad Xmen movie if that makes sense.
The last stand was only bad because they tried to end game it with magneto as a rehash villain and they unnecessarily killed off people. Scheduling conflicts or not it’s dumb.
Good episode as always Tony...but...Vinnie Jones accent is North London not Australian. :D
They sound the same to me!
@HackTheMovies Apparently so do Don Davis and Michael Kamen.
@briancarlson3008 why the hell did I say Don Davis?!
It had a few interesting moments, but it was too busy.
The kids with useless powers tho...🤣🤣🤣
POOR CRYSTAL
There hasn't been a bad rendition of The Tick and we can only get a couple of seasons tops. wtf
Yes there was. That Fox sitcom was god awful
Hack The Movies has a great host and great guests, but the movie selection could be so much better. Hack The Movies would even get more views if better movies were reviewed.
Name some.
@@HackTheMovies Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Platoon, Fatal Attraction, Goodfellas, Revenge of the Nerds, Full Metal Jacket,, Internal Affairs, Cape Fear, Creepshow, A Clockwork Orange, Pee Wee's Big Adventure, Silent Rage. A beautiful assortment of movies that would make for entertaining reviews, and get you more views. I know that you don't like The Karate Kid, but it would still do well if you reviewed it.
@@CitizenOffentony reviews horror and scifi/ action movies.... your list isn't for his audience
@@kurtshastany1945 You're wrong, he's reviewed: The Godfather, Titanic, and Christmas Vacation. He does more than just horror and sci-fi. Creepshow and Silent Rage are both Horror anyway. And if he wants more views which he's always hoping for, he's going to have to branch out and review better movies. Leprechaun 6 ain't gonna cut it.
@@CitizenOffen anecdotal exemptions don't change the stats much. The dude reviews movies for ppl that play cartridges watch wrestling n go to comic cons.... this ain't a 'let's review the award winning movies everybody else already reviewed channel' tony reviews virus, n deep rising, n relic .... get with it
I've seen The Squid and the Whale cuz my ex is into artsy movies. It's ok
