Val Kilmer looked the most Batmany in the suit out of all the actors to ever play the role. Nolan's TDK movies were always intended as a trilogy its the reason why bale and nolan refused to return for a dark knight 4 also ledger was the main villain in tdk film so i don't know what u mean by: " he would have made a great enemy if he didn’t die. Talia al ghul wanted to pain Bruce in the most painful way possible. Bane will do anything for her since he loves her like a daughter. Bane takes over the city by using the nuclear reactor that Bruce owned. Using it to bluff the city into submission. Batmans worst fear is losing Gotham to villains. Talia does this all to pain Bruce since he killed ras al ghul (her father). Batman and robin has 1 good aspect. Freezes wife. That is the only real villain plot.

His plan is ridiculously stupid and only works because " plot says so". Add that to his laughable plan at the very beginning to fake out the CIA by just putting a bag over his head and hoping that they are too stupid to check who the prisoners actually are and then the really laughable plan to make the obviously not an accident plane crash look like an accident. That is someone that I can trust" , and the ridiculousness of the " We'll never find commissioner Gordon in the incredibly twisting labyrinth of the Gotham sewers...oh look Robin found him effortlessly in minutes" added to the Genius engineer Lucious Fox can't get the autopilot on the Batcopter to work but Bruce did it in his spare time, to the uselessness of showing that Bruce needed the super leg brace to become batman again , but it never comes up again, to the stupidity of the idea that a toddler can make a jump that adults can't, to the ludicris idea that severe spinal damage is curable by slapping someone in the back really hard, to the preposterous idea that they send just about 100% of the cops into the sewers to find Bane, to the insanity that said cops come out of the sewers, about six months later, in pristine uniforms, with fresh shaves and haircuts, in good enough health to engage Bane's forces, to the irrational idea that said poorly armed, malnourished cops can defeat a force that has firearms and support vehicles with their bare hands and billy clubs, to the cockamamy outcome of the truck carrying the neutron bomb crashing and the seatbelted Talia dying, while the totally unprotected Gordon survived the crash with nary a scratch while riding around in the back of the truck with an unsecured, multi ton hunk of metal, to the idiotic idea of having Robin deduce that Bruce Wayne is Batman because " He saw a look in Bruce's eye once", to the actual outcome that Bruce apparently only had his stocks and cash, and , despite being a legacy multi billionaire , had apparently bought everything he owned( art, cars, private jet, ect) on credit as they were all repossessed days after the unrealistic stock trades as well as the idea that his utilities would also be shut down days later , showing that he apparently was already months behind on the payments. The Dark Night Rises is dumb. Dumb, dumb dumb. With stupid villain plans, stupid hero actions, and utterly unrealistic ideas about how the world works. On top of that , we have the stated goal of the villains wanting to destroy Gotham because it is a bastion of crime and corruption, utterly against the reveal at the beginning that Gotham had become so peaceful and clean that Bruce hadn't been needed to don the cape for eight years. Mr Freeze's plan( in contrast) is relatively simple and has internal logic and is consistent with the world in the movie. 1-Use his powers to steal the money he needs to cure his wife. 2-Steal the diamonds to power his suit. 3-After he believes( wrongly) that Batman is responsible for the death of his wife, get revenge by freezing the city that Batman protects. Poison Ivy's plans are , similarly, relatively straight forward. 1-Destroy humanity so she can cultivate her ideal , plant dominated, world. 2-Manipulate Mr Freeze into destroying humanity for her( presumably in hopes she can defeat him later). Sure. Its goofy in many ways, but, Batman and Robin actually makes world's more sense than TDKR.

One in which multi billionaires buy everything they own, except their ancestral home, on credit. One where the cops say that the sewers are an impossible labyrinth, but Joe cop finds the person he is looking for in them, in minutes. On his own. One where apparently the CIA can be fooled about the cause of one of their own planes crashing, with evidence that absolutely screams " THIS WAS AN ATTACK". and then can be fooled about the identity of a body in the ( obviously not an accident) wreckage because of a ( partial) blood transfusion, when , in the real world, forensics only uses blood for DNa identification if all they have is blood. Why? Because they know that blood is a poor way to find identifiable DNa as human ( indeed, all mammalian) red blood cells don't contain human DNa!!!!. They would use dental records , or, DNa from epithelial( skin) tissue. Or any other tissue from a body before they would use blood. One where Batman is idiot enough to trust a woman who would beat up a handicapped man. One where tiny children climb and jump better than adults. One where crippling back injuries can be healed by repeated blows to the back. One where the US government ignores terrorists holding large US cities hostage. For months. One where the ( nearly undamaged) front crew area od a truck , seatbelted in adn with airbags, is a less safe place to be in a truck accident than in the cargo area with a multi ton piece of metal bouncing around. This movie is just dumb.

That is someone that I can trust" , and the ridiculousness of the " We'll never find commissioner Gordon in the incredibly twisting labyrinth of the Gotham sewers...oh look Robin found him effortlessly in minutes" added to the Genius engineer Lucious Fox can't get the autopilot on the Batcopter to work but Bruce did it in his spare time, to the uselessness of showing that Bruce needed the super leg brace to become batman again , but it never comes up again, to the stupidity of the idea that a toddler can make a jump that adults can't, to the ludicris idea that severe spinal damage is curable by slapping someone in the back really hard, to the preposterous idea that they send just about 100% of the cops into the sewers to find Bane, to the insanity that said cops come out of the sewers, about six months later, in pristine uniforms, with fresh shaves and haircuts, in good enough health to engage Bane's forces, to the irrational idea that said poorly armed, malnourished cops can defeat a force that has firearms and support vehicles with their bare hands and billy clubs, to the cockamamy outcome of the truck carrying the neutron bomb crashing and the seatbelted Talia dying, while the totally unprotected Gordon survived the crash with nary a scratch while riding around in the back of the truck with an unsecured, multi ton hunk of metal, to the idiotic idea of having Robin deduce that Bruce Wayne is Batman because " He saw a look in Bruce's eye once", to the actual outcome that Bruce apparently only had his stocks and cash, and , despite being a legacy multi billionaire , had apparently bought everything he owned( art, cars, private jet, ect) on credit as they were all repossessed days after the unrealistic stock trades as well as the idea that his utilities would also be shut down days later , showing that he apparently was already months behind on the payments.
The Dark Night Rises is dumb. Dumb, dumb dumb.
With stupid villain plans, stupid hero actions, and utterly unrealistic ideas about how the world works.
On top of that , we have the stated goal of the villains wanting to destroy Gotham because it is a bastion of crime and corruption, utterly against the reveal at the beginning that Gotham had become so peaceful and clean that Bruce hadn't been needed to don the cape for eight years.
Mr Freeze's plan( in contrast) is relatively simple and has internal logic and is consistent with the world in the movie.
1-Use his powers to steal the money he needs to cure his wife.
2-Steal the diamonds to power his suit.
3-After he believes( wrongly) that Batman is responsible for the death of his wife, get revenge by freezing the city that Batman protects.
Poison Ivy's plans are , similarly, relatively straight forward.
1-Destroy humanity so she can cultivate her ideal , plant dominated, world.
2-Manipulate Mr Freeze into destroying humanity for her( presumably in hopes she can defeat him later).
Sure. Its goofy in many ways, but, Batman and Robin actually makes world's more sense than TDKR.

I almost forgot the stupidity of the idea that the United States would let a terrorist hold an American city hostage FOR SIX MONTHS. No apparent attempts to stop them. Nothing.
This movie only works if the world it is set in is nearly 1005 different than the one in which we actually live.
One where people are dumb enough not to see through obvious crimes( What? Criminals took over the stock exchange and, coincidentally , on the exact day, during the exact hour, those criminals held the exchange, Bruce Wayne made highly chancy, utterly out of character stock trades? Wow. What a coincidence. )
One where utilities are shut down three days after someone loses all of their money. Not " after misses payments", which, in the real world takes months.
One in which multi billionaires buy everything they own, except their ancestral home, on credit.
One where you can deduce that a billionaire must be dressing up as a bat and fighting crime because you " saw a look in his eye" once.
One where the cops say that the sewers are an impossible labyrinth, but Joe cop finds the person he is looking for in them, in minutes. On his own.
One where apparently the CIA can be fooled about the cause of one of their own planes crashing, with evidence that absolutely screams " THIS WAS AN ATTACK". and then can be fooled about the identity of a body in the ( obviously not an accident) wreckage because of a ( partial) blood transfusion, when , in the real world, forensics only uses blood for DNa identification if all they have is blood. Why? Because they know that blood is a poor way to find identifiable DNa as human ( indeed, all mammalian) red blood cells don't contain human DNa!!!!. They would use dental records , or, DNa from epithelial( skin) tissue. Or any other tissue from a body before they would use blood.
One where Batman is idiot enough to trust a woman who would beat up a handicapped man.
One where tiny children climb and jump better than adults.
One where crippling back injuries can be healed by repeated blows to the back.
One where the US government ignores terrorists holding large US cities hostage. For months.
One where the ( nearly undamaged) front crew area od a truck , seatbelted in adn with airbags, is a less safe place to be in a truck accident than in the cargo area with a multi ton piece of metal bouncing around.

It's funny to see the progression of Batman. The way the movies he's in get progressively more ridiculous.
From 1989-2005 we had new Batman villains no remakes 😂
