Every day Greg Miller, Tim Gettys, and Nick Scarpino talk about the biggest stories in nerd culture.

I hate that “pawns” line from Magneto. He would never refer to his mutant brothers as lesser and expendable beings. This film totally fucks his character.
Tim: Greg, let's start with the plot.
Greg: Ugh... Alright...
Perfectly sums up the movie.
Kelsey Grammer is the perfect actor for Beast. Everything about his performance feels like he jumped right out of the comics
It's the best aspect of this movie and I'm glad they kept him when erasing this movie in Days of Future Past.
He’s suck terrible casting it’s not even funny
Kelsey Grammer truly did...hear the blues a-callin'.
Tim is insane. X-2 is definitely the best of the 3
I disagree with him too, but I don't think he's mentally ill....I'm pretty sure just his opinion.
Nah, he's cookoo. Lawl!
I'm starting to think Nick's impression of any British actor is basically Ben Kingsley as the Mandarin
Fun fact: There is an alternate scene where Rogue tells Bobby that she couldn't do it and kept her gloves on, and he accepts it.
cool guy kevin continuing to wear sunglasses inside for absolutely no reason
Compare the way this movie is shot to the way X2 was. X2 was directed so amazingly well with weird experimental camera shots and symbolism, then this movie does none of that and it's filmed like any other generic movie. This movie was a step-down from the previous ones and I actually think that X-Men Origins: Wolverine might even be better.
Some ideas for “In Review” series:
Transformers
Batman
TMNT
Harry Potter
Superman
Mission Impossible
The Matrix
Blade
Ghost Rider
Punisher
Fantastic Four
Lord of the Rings
maddoggnick96 Awesome ideas! With Punisher alone you get 3 weirdly different movies and a great Netflix series. Lord of the Rings gets you 6 movies the length of 12 plus a Hulu series. Batman gets you 12 movies JUST in live action films (not counting live action tv shows, animated tv shows, and animated direct to video films [Under the Red Hood...]. TMNT gives 5 live action movies, 1 animated movie, 6 animated series, 1 live action concert, and 1 live action series! Transformers gives you 6 live action films, 1 animated film (that you could see free in theaters by paying them bottle caps ala Fallout), and a TON of animated series! And Ghost Rider would give several guest appearances and 2 bad movies that went quickly from bad to worse!
Couldn't you technology lump Blade with the X-MEN? I thought he had the "not a mutant but we still hang out sometimes" relationship ie Spider-Man or deadpool.
kelvin joyner maybe in newer comics but not in comics or movies around the time of those films. Also, I believe Blade was New Line Cinema while X-Men was Fox, so from a studio point of view it would be easier to cross Blade over with Lord of the Rings! (Let the fan ideas commence!) :)
Randall Adkins but it would give them 4 Ryan Reynolds performances to rate. Plus back in 2012 when marvel tired to make anime inspired shows for Iron man, Blade, and Wolverine Blade and Victor were both in Japan doing stuff together.
Fantastic Four? So three shit movies? Lol
Still waiting for the Nick Cage Ghost Rider (NCGRCU) in review.
Edit: Putting X3 at #2 was egregious. Watching this movie to prepare for this was pure suffering.
Let's go straight to Nicholas Cage in Review. Every Nick Cage movie ever!!!
Panzer GS don't get me too excited
Its crap. But the first two are less fun. 2 is waaaaayyy over rated.
Kevin just chill out for 5 seconds please and let Greg talk.
More contents plz?
I’m watching these all again, and yea, it bugs me he’s always wearing sunglasses.
I don’t know why I’m entertained when they pull out the board
Kevin Komaki Tiny board! Tiny board! Tiny board! Tiny board!
Why does Kevin wear sunglasses indoors? Is that cool out in San Fran? Cause in the midwest it's the doucheiest thing possible. For how much he hates cyclops, he sure is copping his style.
It’s only douchey because someone 100 years ago said it was. Who gives a fuck. He’s just chilling with friends. Not like he’s meeting the president or doing something formal. Get off his nuts.
Nightcrawler conspicuously absent.
Please watch the unrated version of The Wolverine. Ninja scene and little character moments make it worth it.
Does Kevin understand that he's inside?
dv2244 the lights are crazy bright in their studio. It’s hard to tell.
@@hunterburress yea 2 yrs later but how the hell do u know that the lights r super bright in the studio??
@@hunterburress It is when you’re wearing sunglasses.
The movie started and I thought “wow, this isn’t as bad as I remembered” then 10 minutes later I thought “this is exactly as bad as I remembered”.
Emlyn Barnden exactly my experience
Nah I thought it was pretty good
It's like Spider-Man 3 for me, where you can almost immediately tell that something is off from the first two. I think Spider-Man 3 is much better, but they're similar in a lot of ways.
This makes me the happiest I COULD NOT HAVE BEEN THE ONLY ONE! Who said how are we traveling back and forth San Fran & upstate New York like it’s a walk to your local corner store!!!!
I'm definitely with Greg. Magneto abandoning Mystic after she saved him was just a stupid plot point in a movie full of stupid plot points.
oh and this movie was much worse than the first 2...MUCH worse.
The best of the trilogy??? Really tim? Wtf did u watch
"We're gonna terrorist stuff!" - Magneto
13:59 Kurt Russell's de-aging in GOTG2 was done using makeup and cgi.
Mike and a body double i believe.
When you get to The Wolverine, please watch the uncut version.Thanks.
One hour and 45 minutes and NOBODY talks about Wolverine's new mutant power of being able to descend 4-5 stairs at a time. Shame.
Doesn't the bike go super fast? I thought that was established in X1 when Wolverine hits the button and then he gets flubber mouth from the super speed
I know I’m late on this, but Kitty and Logan run the Institute during Jason Aaron’s Wolverine & the X-Men, not during Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men run. Both are great though
Did anyone else realise Kevin Feigie was an executive producer for this movie
1:42:58 preach, Andy!
You guys should do the 3 Fantastic 4 movies.
I love that fucking XCU intro!! It's so good, gets me hype every time.
X2 was and is still good. It got a damn slow pace but that´s it. The Story, the acting, everything else was on point.
One of my biggest problems with this film is they didn't give Angel enough screen time. Personally I think he's an interesting character and to use him just to fill some gaps ruined it
Great episode guys, but where are my after credits stings?
There was a deleted scene at the house where wolverine stabbed juggernaut in the head and then storm electrocuted wolverine to shock juggernaut
Wolverine and the X-Men comic run was great. It was Jason Aaron, not Whedon, though.
It also just hit me that Xavier talking about the ethics of moving someone’s consciousness around was a short of foreshadowing for the reveal that he was in fact suppressing Jean’s Phoenix... which totally works against his character, since he clearly shares he’s against manipulating someone’s mind in that way.
On the midnight thing, they cut a scene in-between where you can see the sun set.
Would love to see a spiderman 'In Review' -- Toby Maguire, Andrew Garfield movies + Homecoming. You guys claimed that homecoming was the best one during your MCU in review but i love those first movies. It would be fun!
Wtf was that @ 1:08:32 😳
I agree with you Tim!!
Nick was Marky Mark's hair in Rockstar a wig/extensions or his real hair?
Once upon a time I used to just be able to watch and enjoy movies. Now I have to painstakingly analyze hair... Thanks Champ.
Watching this now in preperation for Deadpool 3. It disrepects a lot of the characters, but honestly... im kinda with Tim. It's the most enjoyable one to watch while still being bad.
For “The Wolverine”, are you guys going to do the Unleashed Cut? It doesn’t make all that much of a difference but it’s a little more fun
Surprised Kevin hates the Juggernaut line. I remember going nuts at that. Shout out to Randy and MWE, Kinda Funny before Kinda Funny.
lol Greg just doesn't want Tim to enjoy the way the sentinel in this movie. I love it!
I’m with Tim on this one, this is easily the most entertaining X-men movie from the original trilogy and the one I rewatch the most. Yes, it’s far from perfect and has many flaws, but it still has great entertainment value because of all the action and set pieces. The people that say this movie is worse than “X-men origins: wolverine” are absolutely insane
It looks like the figure behind Andy is holding his head up
Why doesn't Andy talk at all? He makes very few comments throughout the whole thing and I want to hear from him more!
Because Greg, Kevin, and Nick kinda took the podcast over.
Sidenote: y’all should review and rank the incredibles and incredibles 2. The first incredibles is I dare say one of the greatest superhero movies of all time let alone even the 00s.
xXCeraiceXx tbh I think that’s coming after X-men in review lol
Monkey J. Luffy maybe.. I think nick and Andy and Greg don’t care about animation tho I can see spider man, James Bond, or fast and furious first
I did not know Prof X came back to life. I did not know there was a post credit scene until now. I am so shook. (Also great vid! Love y'all, keep fuckin that chicken)
I'm sure that someone else has mentioned this, but the X-Men couldn't use the kid who 'blocks' a mutant's powers to take away Jean's powers because if they got close to him, their own powers would go away. And as Kevin points out, Jean would just crush anyone approaching her before the bald kid got close enough to take away her powers.
Better than I remembered... up until the ridiculousness of the ending. And man, I really did not remember how horrible this version of Cyclops was. Pointless in all 6 hours of this trilogy.
are you watching the rouge cut and unrated version of the wolverine?
xXprognomeXx they said they’re watching the rogue cut last week. They didn’t say anything about the unrated version of wolverine probably because they don’t know about it. I didn’t know about it so I’ll be choosing that version when we get there so thanks.
alright thanks also the unrated version is soooo much better even if its still quite bad
Why do all of them make Sir Ian McKellen sound like Bane?
To quote one Colin Moriarty, “you like a superhero from another fucking planet who’s impervious to most things except some substance - kryptonite- right? Superman makes no sense. No one knows who he is because he where’s fucking glasses and your problem is how” The x men get into the city?
The guy who plays Roller in Claws looks just like Tim.
I don't think i've ever heard Kevin so angry before. Now we know this movie really riles him up!
It’s the future speaking venom 2 made him quit the show
I thought we all collectively agreed that this movie never happened .
This is bout to be great😂
Review the Harry Potters!!
1:17:16
I swear Greg said we’ll let the prawns go first 😂😂
I'm surprised you guys aren't doing a Grand Total of the times Wolverine get's knocked out in this franchise. I bet it's over 10 times.
*Sees title*
This is gonna be good
I love this series so much, I look forward to it every week!! Also you guys should rank all of the Spider-Man movies next, I think that’d be pretty cool.
Man, Kevin need to cool his jets. People are allowed to enjoy things you don't like without you having to interrupt everything they say. Yikes.
I can't wait until we get to X-men origins wolverine. they turn Cyclops optic blast into heat vision which wolverine uses to heat up his claws so he can cut deadpool's head off, but at that same time deadpool is blasting sabertooth with his cyclops vision yet sabertooth's clothes arent burned at all?? yes this is a real movie that game out...
Couldn't Kiddy walk on air particles in the comics too?
They should watch the uncut version of The Wolverine. So much better and bloodier!
Talking about the second one by the way, the first is radioactive garbage. The only redeeming quality of the first one is that it gave us Deadpool 1 e 2.
this movie is fine until the 45 min mark, then it shits itself
Fastball Special by the way... not that it REALLY matters.
2:33 Tim's gone mad
I vehemently disagree with Nick on one thing: Spider-Man 2 definitely still holds up to this day
Die Hard would be a good in review. Shorter series but could be very entertaining.
You don't have to be worried about rewatching the Spiderman trilogy. Outside of fx, they are still pretty good.
Today is the day I agree with Gregor Miller 100 percent.
Let’s do Batman movies lol. So many different ones. Include any theatrical animated films
I'm the Juggernaut BITCH!!!
So comic book readers and no mention how the Juggernaut is not a fucking mutant???
Are they gonna skip the part were he mentions he wears a helmet because of hes step brother can get into hes head in Deadpool 2?
Juggernaut not a mutant. Also Xavier's step brother.
HAHAHAHA ANDY MEEEEEE TOO!!! MY PARENTS STILL OWN THE DVD!!! LMAO!!!! XD
I agree Andy, Thor is better than Hulk hands down
God these movies were so weird that I can never remember what happened in them
It's so crazy that this movie is hated so much yet i love it lol
TIM I LOVE YOU! I always felt X3 was the best of the Trilogy. (Of course when your opinion's different than mine I'm like: Fuck Tim LOLL)
I agree with Greg and Kevin, X2 didn't suck. Wasn't great, but definitely didn't suck.
“It wasn’t sexual harassment, it was just harassment but he made comments about her sexuality”
Tim enjoyed sentinel head my words not Greg’s
1:01:27 hahaha
If Cyclops doesn't have the theme song you just gave him in the next movie it automatically sucks
The Spyke-ish character in this movie isn't Spyke.
He's Spike.
Not the same character, but he's blatantly based on Spyke.
It's stupid and arbitrary.
After this we need the Blade Trilogy, the Matrix, and all spidermen,& all paranormal activity & you don't have but the SAW series
Savag3_5wing at least Spider-Man I’m with you
Btw my rank would be,
1. Spider-Man 2
2. Spider-Man Homecoming
3. Spider-Man
4. The Amazing Spider-Man
5. Spider-Man 3
6. Amazing Spider-Man 2
And I know most people hate spiderman 3 but I have the nostalgia for it because it came out at a time where the first 2 Spider-Man movies were my favorite movies and I’d watched them 100 times, and came out perfectly for me to accidentally like this movie. Same argument I’ve heard for the prequels but I stand by it. That being said I haven’t seen it since I was 8 years old.
I just love their reactions to bad movies I'm not serious with the suggestions but be super entertaining (also cuz I wanna torture you guys all ghost riders&Fantastic 4s)
It would’ve been cool if the fantastic four movies were part of this
If they’d just done an early twothoudands superhero movies in review
I am probably in the minority but id rather get rid of the big plot synopsis and just do specific plot points. Like the beginning of the video with you guys debating about the movie was great
Man I have love for this movie...yes they screwed the Phoenix story but it’s not as bad as people pan it to be
you put X3 at 2?? Is there a gas leak in your studio? This needs to be dead last.
Why does flameboy treat iceboy like a stranger when his friendship with him (and sympathy for the fallout with his family) is what motivated him to change sides in the first place?
Why does flameboy have infinite flames if he can't make them and doesn't lug around tanks on his back?
How does iceboy prevent that flaming car from hitting him in the face by blowing on it with cool air - bringing it to a dead stop 5 steps away - wouldn't he just get hit in the face with a *non flaming* car?
Why does redhead turn into a sex maniac without the control of baldy? And if baldys control was the crucial factor - enough to temper her for two films and beyond - why is that no longer the case? Why is she alive in the first place? I know they say "psychic cacoon" but fuck off, that's dumb.
Why does helmet turn so quickly on bluebabe? And why does she turn on him? Wouldn't they see what happened to her as an assault and a tragedy? Why does bluebabe give a fuck about helping humans? WERE WE SUPPOSED TO TAKE THAT LINE ABOUT WOMEN BEING SPITEFUL SERIOUSLY?
HOW is Logan, "The only one who can stop her [redhead]?" I can think of one particular person who could stop her pretty good. Are we supposed to believe that they love each other because Logan flirted with her a couple times and that those flirts were SO good that she just couldn't bring herself to kill him (despite killing pissbaby - who she had a longstanding relationship with - without hesitation)?
When they go to redheads house, how does helmet surprise them? They're standing in the middle of the road. There's NOTHING obstructing their sight. Is this a solipsistic camera thing?
Why does the weatherman have any hesitation about running the school? There's literally a scene where everyone's like, "Oh, the old guy died. I guess we'll just have to abandon everything and everyone" and then weatherman steps in and says "nah" after entertaining that notion for a bit, which was ALREADY THE ARRANGEMENT.
Why does seemingly every mutant have super acrobatic capabilities in the final battle?
Why was wings even in the movie?
Why does helmet have his powers at the end? Does the cure stop working after awhile? What does that mean for Rogue? That actually she just keeps being miserable like always?
HOW DOES BEATING HELMET SOLVE ANYTHING? The cure still exists, people still want to disarm mutants. Now the source for the cure is safe and the public has ten times the motivation to want to put it to use, so....wtf
Is helmet still not in prison?
How is everyone jumping around the map so quickly all of the time? Logan finds the mutant rebels on motorcycle and then they are in san fran and logan has reconvened with the x gang by the time the army catches up?
Why is there a subtitle that says "in the not too distant future" or something when it is literally *not*
X-Men 🔥❤
Tim, the first two movies most certainly do not suck -_-
When did Tim go insane?
Probably when Fast and Furious became his favorite movie franchise
Great series although I do think you guys are a bit unfair when criticizing the action/spectacle for being dated. Movies are products of their time and can't help that. Pretty sure The Avengers movies will feel a bit dated in 15-20 years. All that said I can't in good conscience rank X3 above the first two. Bryan Singer is a way more competent filmmaker than Brett Ratner.
