was waiting for this ever since they announced they were gonna do it and man was it well worth the wait. Tears in my eyes during the text message part.
Both Ghost Rider movies are pretty bad but I always have a great time with them. Especially with the second one, it’s SO bonkers ridiculous. Same directors as the Crank movies.
I'm sorry, the bit at 43:33 where Tim asks if Swingers is about swing dancing, Greg answers 'No,' Nick says 'Yes' a split second later, and then there's a beat of silence is FUCKING HYSTERICAL. I've watched it like 50 times now. What a beautiful tapestry of reactions on everyone's faces in a couple seconds. Tim thinking Nick is fucking with him, then genuine curiosity as he asks the question. Greg immediately shifting into being as straight a possible, only to be undermined immediately by Nick who is a moment behind Greg, not once, but twice, Andy having no idea what's going on, and then everyone breaking in that beat of silence. Incredible. There's so much hilarious shit in this episode I think it'll get lost in the mix, but it's truly a wonderful encapsulation of 4 friends, hanging out, watching and talking about shitty movies. XD
I’ll always have love for this movie, man. The suit is fire, gothic imagery goes hard, Evanescence, Michael Clark Duncan is awesome as Fisk, Colin Ferral is having a ball, etc,. It’s not the peak adaptation like Charlie Cox’s DD, but it still had some good stuff in there. Directors Cut is a banger. Highly recommended everyone check out HiTopFilm’s recent deep dive on this movie to get a greater appreciation for it.
As a Daredevil fan, I enjoyed the movie in theaters, and own the Directors cut. The one thing I can't stand though, and the TV show is guilty of this as well, is that they don't give him his RADAR sense. Which even the incredible Hulk TV movie (Trial of the Incredible Hulk) gave him. I know that Frank Miller tried to retcon that the Radar Sense is basically a combination of his enhanced senses and not a separate thing in Man Without Fear. But that wasn't canon, and in the marvel Encyclopedia and newer stories since then, his Radar sense is a separate thing. This movie gave him Sonar, but his Radar Sense and enhanced hearing are two different things. I hope they give him his radar sense in the Disney Plus show.
Now I wish Greg did at least one segment as a blind man. He could have brought his dog and a cane 🦯 and with sun glasses. But just stared at Nick the entire time😂
This is my favorite podcast to listen to the reviews are my go to for when I’m at work mostly. Really want a pirates of the Caribbean review and would be cool to shake things up maybe do like a will ferrell in review or Adam Sandler would be pretty awesome thanks guys
I love ya and respect your opinions bud, but him being a hero is a stretch. Throw out whether he kills or doesn't, he chooses to bang it out with Elektra over saving someone. Would I do the same? Yes, and that's why I could never be a Hero😂😂
Just want to let you all know, and they say it in the movie, is the reason Daredevil in this movie and in the comics, can roof run, & swing over everything with his Billy Club, is that the chemicals not only give him a radar sense (not in the movie or the Netflix show... Hopefully in the Disney Plus show) superhuman hearing (which they turned into Sonar here) Superhuman smell, but also superhuman sense of touch that makes him able to read regular printed words on a page, but also gives him a superhuman sense of balance that allows him to basically parkour through everything as he knows how to perfectly place his body, to tumble and not injure himself. Greg, as a DC fan, especially a Batman Dark Knights Returns fan, there is a connection to Daredevil. In the late 70s Batman had gone back to being the Dark Knight under creators like Neal Adams, in more adult Noir stories. Writer/Artist Frank Miller, looking for a challenge and to do his own thing asked to be put on the Daredevil Book. Daredevil wasn't doing well in sales then as the character at the time was basically seen and written as blind, discount, Spider-Man. Frank decided to ground Matt in more realism. He brought in the Catholicism for Matt, took Kingpin, who was a more comedic 2nd string Spider-Man villain, and turned him into a murderous mafia boss and Daredevil's arch nemesis. He also created and killed Elektra, and created Bullseye. Giving him these new gritty stories (like Karen Page becoming a drug addict and selling Daredevil's identity), basically turned Daredevil into Marvel's Batman at the time, and his books sold like crazy. It's also why Batman and Daredevil were Ben Affleck's 2 favorite comic book characters, and why he was excited to basically play the Frank Miller Dark Knight Returns Batman, complete with armor, in the Zack Snyder movies. Also, the DD burning on fire didn't make sense, but because they were drawing from other comic movies at the time, that moment is basically a copy of The Crow lighting an image of a crow on fire as he walks away. And besides The Blade Movies, Hulk, Captain America, Fantastic 4 (including the Corman movie), Ghost Rider and Punisher movies, for Marvel in Review, you should also do an In review of the Crow movies leading up to the new Crow movie that's out this year. At least the 1st 2 Crow movies that came out in theaters. The other 2 went straight to video, though they have stars like Kristen Dunst, Eddie Furlong, Fred Ward, and more.
For the record I googled who BERT MEG is… (a fellow KF BEST FRIEND FYI) Goddamn Greg has been doing this for years!? Im dead! Bert wherever you are I feel your pain! #GregSux 😂🤣
Is Joe Quesada respected in the comic community? Wasn't he responsible for One More Day? Spider-Man selling his marriage to the Devil Mephisto to save elderly Aunt May?
Huh. Just realised there hasn't been Predator or Alien in review. We need another series like Nolan in Review but Schwarzenegger or something like that
1:12:17 This right here is the reason In Review has to continue no matter what franchise or whatever. I was on a bus and lost my shit trying to hold my laugh.
I have heard a lot of people say the r rated extended cut is considerably better... but I can't bring myself to sit through a longer version of this movie
Honestly, i would recommend the Director's Cut of Daredevil, to be honest. The Director's Cut of this movie is almost a different movie than the theatrical cut in which it's edited a LOT more different and flows better than the theatrical cut. Had the Director's Cut of Daredevil the version that was released in theaters in February 2003 instead of.....whatever the hell Fox gave us, then i felt like the movie would've received a bit more better reviews from critics and audiences back then. Also, i just HAVE to defend the soundtrack of this movie honestly. LOL
Wow so I was not totally off on a marvel knights in review also shout outs to Greg reading the chip zadarski daredevil run oh and I just remembered when I reviewed this I think almost 4 years ago I think I saw Kevin potter Batman at elektras dads funeral scene
The directors cut is not an awful movie…not good but not terrible. That being said I definitely think secret invasion, while disappointing, is better quality than this movie
Possible Spoilers Ahead**** I think there might be a possible reference to this movie in Deadpool & Wolverine. Wouldn’t be surprised, but it would be glorious.
Evanescence was not popular before Daredevil. Daredevil made Evanescence popular. Their album and the push of the Bring Me to Life as a single came AFTER the film's soundtrack release. The movie is what made that happen. Also this movie is fun, cheesy, camp. I'd so much rather watch this than any of modern, soulless Marvel movies.
All I can say is "Fucking A. Yes!" That was too damn funny 🤣🤣🤣
I need Greg texting Nick as content much more often...LOL
was waiting for this ever since they announced they were gonna do it and man was it well worth the wait. Tears in my eyes during the text message part.
It’s a good day when MCU in review is back. The show that brought me to this channel back in the lead up to infinity war days 😭
"everyone is asking why are we reviewing daredevil"
The Boy and the Heron: 😐
Inside Out 2: Right there with ya.
That "I Like to Play Games" bit is one of the best fucking things in KF since the mangos. And they are 100% correct.
We need blade, punisher, fantastic 4 and Alien in review
And predator but just the first 2 and prey
Kinda crazy we got this instead of Alien in review
Blade would be awesome. Then they could try ti figure out the formula that Marvel/Disney seems to be having a hard time with. Lol.
All three punisher movies!!
Yall realize they have too much on their plate already?
Andy is god’s greatest gift
And that gift was delivered to us in Mike’s bag 😂
Here to say Lisa Boyle's performance in "I Like to a Play Games" was UNFORGETTABLE
Burt Meg is still hilarious lmao
This really was all we had. I watched this movie on DVD at least once a week growing up.
I really hope a Blade and Ghostrider in review happens those would be so fun.
Both Ghost Rider movies are pretty bad but I always have a great time with them. Especially with the second one, it’s SO bonkers ridiculous. Same directors as the Crank movies.
Especially with the rumor ghost rider casting
They’ve said they’ll do Blade leading into the Mahershala Ali movie
@@TyranBatten at this rate Ben is going to be hosting the in review
The one thing the Netflix show did poorly was the death of Elektra and the follow through in Defenders.
I'm sorry, the bit at 43:33 where Tim asks if Swingers is about swing dancing, Greg answers 'No,' Nick says 'Yes' a split second later, and then there's a beat of silence is FUCKING HYSTERICAL.

This is the beauty of in review. One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to
Oh wow I was not expecting this. This is gonna be fun.

I needed this today. Thanks Best Friends 🤘🏻🖤
The text messages!! Legit crying laughing out loud. 😂😂
An amazing rewatch & review. What a wild film.
I don’t think Greg pretending to be blind would have been offensive at all. The blind people probably wouldn’t even see this.
I've seen Ben Affleck Daredevil more than any other Marvel movie. And I don't think I would take that back. 10/10 classic. 😂
What is Swingers about? 😂 43:26
Nick saying “hot” when Tim says his wife’s full name is Gabriela 😅😅😅😅😅 that dog
This is my favorite podcast to listen to the reviews are my go to for when I’m at work mostly. Really want a pirates of the Caribbean review and would be cool to shake things up maybe do like a will ferrell in review or Adam Sandler would be pretty awesome thanks guys
1:08:52 old man bonding time begins 😂
How dare you I’m not that old but wow. Trying to sneak while my grandma shuffled around was a deal
I love that this doesn't have the typical In Review thumbnail, like "I don't even fuckin know, just throw somethin up there" lol
I loved this review, but where is Godzilla minus one!! It's on Netflix now...
I laughed so hard at the text exchange I started crying. Fucking beautiful lol
What’s crazy is yes the movie is BAD, but I came out of it with Daredevil becoming one of my favorite heros
I love ya and respect your opinions bud, but him being a hero is a stretch. Throw out whether he kills or doesn't, he chooses to bang it out with Elektra over saving someone. Would I do the same? Yes, and that's why I could never be a Hero😂😂
There is 15 mins around the one hour mark here that is maybe some of the funniest stuff in a long time for in review
These In-Reviews wake me up inside and bring me to life

I was genuinely shocked when i realised you haven’t covered Alien, Predator & Pirates of Caribbean franchises. C’mon lads & ladies, we need them 🙏
Langley is so perfect because it sounds like a mix of lanky and gangly, both terms associated with tall skinny people
Watch Ang Lee's Hulk movie id love to see you guys review that film its slow paced but i like that movie alot
Thank you for this
It's funny to think that the plot of this movie doesn't happen if Elektra had not worn perfume that day
The Plot song hit SO hard!
Is Joe Quesada respected in the comic community? Wasn't he responsible for One More Day? Spider-Man selling his marriage to the Devil Mephisto to save elderly Aunt May?
Yes to quesada being respected and yes to one more day having said that every marvel comics in review when
This movie is the very first movie I remember seeing in a theatre.
I remember the theater being packed for this movie then when I went to Elektra the ticket guys saying "Really?" and the theater being completely empty
I remember watching this in the cinema when it released. I liked it as a 13 year old haha.
The Coolio trading card from this movie is part of the "official" collection for F**kface (Geoff and Gavin's podcast)
Great episode, I was actually crying at "Fucking A. Yes!!!"
Best plot intro song ever
Those texts. Holy shit 😭😭😭😭
Thank god Greg is on this lol
Huh. Just realised there hasn't been Predator or Alien in review. We need another series like Nolan in Review but Schwarzenegger or something like that
Elecktra. Should be an epic Greg and Nick episode. Cause awe man, its a doozy and they gonna have to bring the energy. Lol
1:12:17 This right here is the reason In Review has to continue no matter what franchise or whatever. I was on a bus and lost my shit trying to hold my laugh.
Andy: it's so easy to do crime 😂😂😂😂
That opening ❤
I made it 13 minutes into the video before I ordered the directors cut off the internet. TWO EVANESCENCE SONGS? I SOMEHOW FORGOT THERE WAS EVEN ONE!
Thumbnail change?!! Woah is this a first for In Review?
When you guys doing the Alien/Predator universe? You got 14 movies before Alien: Romulus comes out!
You need to watch the director's cut of this. It's legit good and a completely different movie.
I need a fantastic four in review before the new one comes out. The Tim Story ones & 4stic man it’d be great
I have heard a lot of people say the r rated extended cut is considerably better... but I can't bring myself to sit through a longer version of this movie
Nick makes fun of east coasters as egotistical, in the most egotistical way 😂
Honestly, i would recommend the Director's Cut of Daredevil, to be honest. I love this, more older marvel non mcu watching please
You guys should've really watched the director's cut...
The Bring Me to Life scene was peak
Oh my god, even back then when this was the standard for superhero movies Elektra somehow managed to be just an absolute shining beacon of shit.
This movie is underrated
It sounds like the choice was not to watch the Director's cut and I'm curious why that is since the consensus seems to be that it's a better cut.
what the hell, Andy's daredevil song was sick as fuck
There was a part of me that was really holding out hope for an Evanescence/Kinda Funny theme mashup
*Andy once again saving the day
dude andy and Tim and nick are so fucking talented
I really hope when the guys watch Elektra someone notices how similar it is to Madame Web
That being said I definitely think secret invasion, while disappointing, is better quality than this movie
y'all should have done Godzilla Minus one instead lo
Possible Spoilers Ahead****
I think there might be a possible reference to this movie in Deadpool & Wolverine. Wouldn’t be surprised, but it would be glorious.
Andy covers numetal classics album distributed by KFAF records when?????? 😂😂😂
1:08:50
I’m not nearly as old but I feel seen.
...soooo petition for Green Hornet in review when?
A surprise to be sure, but a welcome one
Alien would be amazing! That would literally be appointment TV for me.
How the fuck do we still not have Predator in Review? Guys? Anyone?
So Elektra next?
no inside out 2?
4:48 you mean Ride or Die.
It wasn't a wig, his real hair that they dyed red. He talked about it when the movie came out.
Evanescence was not popular before Daredevil. Daredevil made Evanescence popular. Their album and the push of the Bring Me to Life as a single came AFTER the film's soundtrack release. The movie is what made that happen.

Inside Out 2 Pixar in Review?? Where is that at, the movie is a masterpiece!
Dolph lungren The Punisher 80s, Blade 2000s😏and why not just cause starship troopers!! Haha
Elektra is on MAX!!!
They should review the fantastic four movies instead of deadpool rewatch!
Shoutout to evanescence
I read the novelization of the first xmen movie. That is all.
The directors cut was definitely a better edit of a bad movie. Still interesting to check out imo!
