As I shared a couple of days ago, the #candidadiet over-promises + generally under-delivers

And it's frankly miserable to follow (and inappropriate if ur relationship with food has been disordered over the years)

While I ask clients to sensibly reduce starchy carbs (like limiting sugary desserts or having berries vs really sweet fruit), most don't change their diet at all
.
Instead I prefer to use other tools that can help shift the fungus in a more effective way
.

🔸 Antifungal medication prescribed by your doctor. Nystatin has a very low risk of causing liver enzyme elevation + can be used for longer periods
.
🔸 Antifungal herbs must be used in an appropriate combination + may require multiple combos depending on how significant the fungal load is. Includes monolaurin, pau d'arco, undecylenic acid, caprylic acid, olive leaf extract + black seed oil!

🔸Binders (which may include immunoglobulins in certain cases if secretory IgA is low)
.
🔸Phase 2 Liver Detox Support (like P2 Detox Balance from Quellshop.com) that's focused on nourishing the liver with the nutrients it needs to run Phase 2 optimally

🔸 Probiotics when appropriate. Strains would depend on the symptoms of the case. I like S.boulardii but it's not good if you're constipated. Even something like Megaspore can help👍

@akaakmaanjaajanannanan got better then went a little lax with my diet and my dry skin on my face came back so now I am going to focus on my diet again. Only thing that seems to help

I started Nystatin yesterday 🤞🤞🤞 along with doing a Carnivore Diet.
I take probiotics, herbal anti microbials as well (Berberine & Curcumin) and Activated Charcoal at night.

My GI doctor is having me take Interfase Plus to break up biofilms first for 2 weeks. Then Nystatin working my way slowly up to 6 pills while also continuing Interfase Plus. I'm on a modified anti-fungal diet as I'm allowed some things still.
How has this been working for you?

Over 50 years I have had candida, try dates. Really, it has many benefits also for constipation and candida. It is a secret, but you can find it if you surge for this information. I tried diets for 20 years, did everything to get rid of this. But dates I was thought they were bad, but that’s not true.
What about digestive enzymes cellulase and hemicellulase? Betonite clay?

I am in the states but I actually have a bunch of clients in the UK. I can't say how easy it is to get diagnosed there, because it's really hard to get diagnosed here. We go by other factors like clinical stool tests or urine testing and case details to make decisions about whether that's a factor here (as a clinical nutritionist). @@fayea4374 random reply but i hope helpful i am from new zealand and for thrush I was prescribed fluconazole for 6 months which i am still on, although I was told if it recurs after treatment I will be referred to a whole new clinic for stronger medication- I am trying natural supplements to help support avoiding this :) - with advice
What about itraconozole or amphotericin?
Which Nystatin does one take as Nystatin 500000 units tablets are not available in south africa.
Is the 100000 units available in SA?
