    I dont think people realize that this bike still being manufactured and sold today is basically like if you could go to the dealership right now and buy a brand new zero owner nissan r34 skyline or mk4 supra.
    The big sweeping analog tach alone is enough to put this bike toward the top of my "seriously considering" list. Its basically a mid 00's era sport bike that you can still buy brand new today. I think thats absolutely insane and i want one.

    Of the 4 bikes I've owned, none of them had rider aids, not even ABS. So I appreciate how Honda has kept this bike pure and old school in form. I believe tho, that for the price, the CBR is not a good value while the ZX6R exists.

    Okay so, I bought one just like the one you rode - Agree with you on the powerband RPMs. You can cruise around all day long without a care in the world at 3500 to 5000. It's 0-70 in first gear if you want. It gets a little punchy around 7000-8500 RPM. And it is a "hang-the-F-on" going from 10500 to 15,000. You better mean it, because it's like RIGHT NOW! Fun as hell. What a blast, in the canyons at 7,000 to 10,000 it is everything you want, and if you want to really have fun, like a sporting event fun, it's amazing after 10K in the canyons, engine slows you down rapidly when you let off and it will give you a rush coming out of every corner as you go upright just open-her-up. Love it so far. Less than 1,000 miles on mine still.

    I totally agree with you, Chase, the rear exhaust should be a must on all super sports haha but that’s what makes the CBR 600 so cool. I actually really like the simplicity of the bike! Shame it doesn’t come standard with ABS but at least there’s an option to have that included. I used to have a 2007 CBR 600 as my second bike and I loved it. Despite having to fight a little to make it haul ass at the higher revs, I think that can be a good thing because it gives the rider the power in a humble kinda way. I even dare say the 600rr could be a good starter bike if the rider is really enthusiastic about wanting to ride but at the same time doesn’t want to feel overwhelmed with all power. It can smoothly let you get used to the speed that a 600 is capable of.

    This is exactly the same as the 2013 model. It’s an awesome bike, and I owned a Grand Prix Tri-Color 2021 model, but stretching the model year this long is an absolute shame. Honda really can’t make a decision here. There's nothing wrong with that but it certainly is dated for its time. I daily drive mine and don't agree that you cant for a bike like this, but i do think most people should aim for bikes with driver aids and its just safer and makes more sense. However, there will always be something special about riding the more pure and mechanical type bikes that is becoming a thing of the past.

Yet, magazines still often rated them as the best. I used to be appalled at that. But, since we have watched many manufacturers dance back and forth between tube frame and twin-spar, again and again, with a variety of models. Honda just knows what they're doing...

    Suzuki’s GSX-R 750 blows this away. 150hp, cheaper, more comfortable around town and MUCH FASTER. it’s also very analog and hasn’t been updated since 2011.

      It's definitely not cheaper than its 600cc rivals, but the bigger issue is actually finding one on a showroom floor that isn't already sold. If the opportunity arises though, I absolutely agree that it's a no-brainer.

      @@Mediarahan003 At least in California, you’ll find deals on new Suzuki 750s that undercut Honda’s 600 by at least $1,000 and good luck finding any deals on a new Honda. $11,500 for the Suzuki and around $12,900 for the Honda. And the 750 isn’t hard to find, at least in my area.

    So that means where the power is concerned it's a perfect street bike since its designed and tuned for the street and not the track.

  • @MarissaTheMuse
    @MarissaTheMuse Месяц назад +1

    6:43 but you’re in 1st gear doing 30mph cruising at a steady speed…what do you need torque for??? The moment you need torque drop a gear and the revs will soar incredibly fast delivering the power you need without issue…if “power” to yall Is literally just The ability to twist the throttle in any gear and have INSTANT torque at any speed than yea of course this isn’t for you.
    But the bikes that do that can’t rev as high or as fast or as freely but nobody ever talks about those p twins as being “gutless” up top and low revving like a diesel

    • @MarissaTheMuse
      @MarissaTheMuse Месяц назад

      Bit of a thoughtless double standard going on is my point. Ppl act like those naked twins do both and these high revving bikes only do one and that couldn’t be less accurate
