My advice to anybody that is hating on cfmoto, i suggest you ride one before drawing conclusions. I work at our local kawasaki and cfmoto dealer as parts and PDI, and while putting machines together i have never seen any issues no matter how minor, and the build quality is great. We sell more cfmoto side by sides and atvs than any other brand whether its new or trade in, and they dont go back to the shop for repairs or warranty any more than any of the other brands. In fact, i have never once seen a cfmoto motorcycle in the shop aside from coming in for services I've had my 800nk for the better part of this year, and i love it. I've never had any issues. As much as i love it, though, im probably going to trade it in for an ibex 450. I've discovered im a slow bike adv dad at heart 😂

I hesitated for so long before going to CFmoto and settled on the 800MT (Ibex), my biggest concern was the KTM designed engine. its the most comfortable bike i have ridden and have no regrets about the M.I.C. bike
I only hate it because it's made in China crowd hates you. 😂 If I didn't already have a plain barebones Suzuki SV1000, I'd definitely get a new cfmoto because it has all the bells and whistles at the right price.

At $9,990 Aussie Dollars over here, the 800NK Sport is less than $600 more than a Ninja 500. And that's out the door with 12 months registration thrown in, not your crazy US pricing where there's a bunch of add on costs. Personally, I'd pony up the extra $1,500 Dollarydoos to get the Advanced model with the steering damper as standard. And that motor is brilliant. I test rode it earlier this year in its ADV configuration & it was a real Jekyll & Hyde engine. Compliant & docile at low revs, but twist the throttle & you'll unleash the monster lurking within. And, my god that intake howl was addictive. It's a motor that you could easily use as a weekday commuter through the narrowest of roads in inner city traffic, like we have here in Sydney, and unleash hell on twisty mountain roads on the weekend. It's a stark contrast to my Aprilia Shiver that just wants to rip your face off straight out of the driveway. And, if I wasn't looking to try out a V4 for a year or 2 I'd ditch the Shiver for the 800NK in an instant.
This is killing me! My new 800NK has been in the shop for 2 weeks waiting for two new tires as warranty replacements. Both front and rear were leaking. Dealership confirmed they were both defective. Can't wait to thrash on it again.
The fact that so many people are hating on CFMoto made me want to buy one all the more. A few months ago I bought the 700 clx Adventure, new, with 4 year warranty for £4999 here in UK. It's my winter rider and copes with the salt and crap on our roads very well. Every time I ride it puts a great big smile on my face and that is priceless if you ask me. I look forward to the updates on the 800NK.

@spitescorner Welcome the 800NK club! I recently purchased one from Maxim Honda Yamaha here in Allen, TX. I’ve been slowly upgrading mine with every OEM accessory available. Nope, I take the Yamaha any day over that. In fact I did. I’m on a 2023 Yamaha MT 10. I actually like the way the modern Yamaha look. But more importantly, I like the way they perform! In fact, I was so impressed I traded in my bought brand new 2021 Kawasaki Z900 RS Café for the MT 10 as soon as I did the demo day with it. That’s how good it is. And that’s a good thing because these type of bikes are going away. I’m glad I got to experience and own one.
I have one of these and it's beautiful. Mine is a fun tool and my work horse as my missus has the car and I have the bike. I have a top box on mine for obvious reasons, and use it all year round in the UK and it holds up with expensive bikes in my opinion. Mine has done about 5000 miles since Feb this year and coming from a Triumph Explorer 1200 and I am very happy. You are right though it is a hooligan. When I commute it's versatile and smooth but when I twist my right hand omg does it let me know it wants to be ridden hard. I use the cruise control regularly and the roll off method I don't like as I have been trained to hold the throttle and switch off. This stops the engine braking and keeps you at the same speed and is more safer than the roll off method. Love your reviews and Love this bike. 😊
I got my first CFMOTO 3 years ago, a 300NK 2021. Before that, I owned over 20 motorcycles from different top brands. For the last 3 years, I only owned CFMOTO as I got inloved with the technology it offers for the price. ✌️ Great video! Keep the good work up! ✌️✌️
I think she is going to be pretty happy with it... especially since you are going to do all the service and fill it up every time you take it out... people way over do the "omg chyna bad!" thing... I'm betting this bike is an un-killable tank. We will see what kind of horribly abusive things the comments section would like to see it subjected to...
The comment sections on cfmoto’s are always wild. Proud owner of a 450nk, bought it in august and already have 4200 on it. Aside from the saggy throttle cable, absolutely perfect bike so far. I’ve been going back and forth to work with it every single day even when it’s been 10 degrees here in Indiana with absolutely zero issues. Only quirk was not riding it for two days when it was that brutally cold and the breaks were just a bit clunky because they were basically frozen and were covered in ice. It’s definitely down on power for someone who’s comfortable and knows what they’re doing, but it’s been extremely reliable, it’s always a head turner and everyone wants to know about them at every meet I’ve been to, and it absolutely kills me that you have to pay $8,000+ for a bike that has a TFT display even remotely comparable to the 450ss/nk displays, they’re in a league of their own with how nice they are. Absolutely love mine and passing it to the wife as her beginner bike this spring while I eye the 700cl-x or a street triple.
I feel like i never use my brakes when riding in traffic, so the helmet brake light would probably help a lot with signaling the people behind me I'm slowing down! Will definitely consider getting one!
Ive owned my 800nk since march of 2024 and i never had to disable anything for it to be able to wheelie. But the bike itself has been truely amazing to ride and handles very well considering im only 135lb rider. Thats odd that it wont let you wheelie though.
I managed to test ride the 800NK here in Taiwan. I was hyping it up so bad that when it comes to riding one, it was a huge letdown. Just to be clear, I'm viewing the 800NK through the lens of my XSR700 which only have 70HP. The 800NK's throttle response is just bad. It felt like there's a good 300~500ms delay between you twisting the throttle and anything happening. The gearbox sucks. Not sure if it's a problem specific to my bike or something, but going from 1st gear to 2nd gear took too much effort. and the biggest letdown: the bike doesnt pull harder than my XSR700. might be down to my excessive expectations, but i was assuming that going from 70HP to 100HP bike would be a significant upgrade. It's not. rode back home happy on my XSR700
Good video Spite. Honda faced the same reliability questions in the UK in the late 1950's and 60's, and didn't the Japanese prove the doubters wrong. There is no reason why the Chinese can't do the same. I would buy one of these Chinese bikes if it wasn't for the fact that I am 70 and quite content to get 3 or 4 years more on my Suzuki GSX650F before hanging up my gloves and helmet for good.
Wait people are hating on this one? I thought generally CF has been getting a lot of love all around? am i wrong? I mean obviously there is the die hard haters but like, from most ive seen mostly good about CF. Including the NK line
Me personally i own a 450sr-s The ones that love it have no time writing about it since they are enjoying. No news is good news in that case ;) The loud ones are die hard "anti chinese" people and are scared of everything m.i.c Lets face it though, most people just dont give a fuck about either side 😂
Half or more of everything everyone uses daily is from China. Yet they flip out over a motorcycle from China. They are great bikes. We have one. Put 3k hard miles on a 450ss and still love it.
If it was some random Chinese company sure maybe, but CF has been in the industry for what 20years? They do builds and tuning for KTM and they use some of the tech from Kawi for their motors. They aren't new to this.
@@landonfolken03 they are at a stage now they are catering to high displacement cc motorcycles with the profits from production they are making great moves manufacturing motorcycles other brands have stopped doing. We now have two grom competitors, mt09 competitor and a 675. Cf are only going up
Huge difference between a product being made in China, like an iPhone, where the majority of the profits come back to the US and Apple. But if You buy a CFmoto, all the money goes back to China, who isn't exactly friendly to us, but is to Russia.
I am a total Sprite Corner fan now your decision to buy & ride the NK 800 is smart and I have eyed this bike for a while and want one so bad its so smooth and cruise control omg. I wish CFMOTO would make a sport tourer with this motor and a fairing would be a killer machine.I got sold on this motor after riding the IBEX 800 and loved the engine transmission. The IBEX was to heavy for me to be a practical Adventure offroad trail bike but would excel as a sport tourer.
I love my CF Moto so far. I’ve had it for a few months and already racked up 1800miles. Mine doesn’t have the quick shifter or stabilizer. I’ve checked at my dealership and it’s been on backorder since I’ve bought it. I can’t wait until I can get them so I can try them out.
I have a 300nk and in ireland its great. Love it to bits and gets me where i need to go and ill always have a fun time on it no matter what. I do want a larger cc bike next year tho.
CF Moto is not available in our country so all my opinions are based on the review/ownership videos I've watched on YT, and 2 bikes I've really liked from them are the 800NK and 450MT. But as soon as i said that "these bikes seem exciting" - I was called a 'CF Moto Brand prmoter/Fake paid commenter' by so many random individuals on a different video.
I could ride that at least half a day no priblem but needs a screen ,a stylish screen keep the fatigue down, people don't get that your torso has to fight windblast and do a multitude of other chores and at over 60 it wears you out even if you can't perceive it.That engine looks interesting
I have used my bike for my main transportation for a bit over a year now and used a Brake Free unit for most of that. I have people that flagged me down just tell me awesome they think it is.
You do realize there are over 7 billion people on the planet. And CF Moto is an up and coming manufacturer. CF moto is the answer to the now very expensive Asian and European bikes. Glad you are happy with this bike and review.
Ive had a 650 nk for a year and love it. im on my lams license cant wait to upgrade next year and get my rclass licence and yeah there under 10k Australian here when i get my full rclass i will get a 800nk it looks amazing for the price
Super interesting 👍 I love honestly the shape of the exhaust over the 790 one. I think the biggest problem is the 790 exists. Dealers have some 2023 790 sitting for prices that will still come under this bikes price even after adding the tech package - so you end up about the same or under after adding the cruise control to the ktm and the steering dampener to the cf moto But - you have a ktm with better market value and 5 more hp (every bit counts) so 🤷♂️ (Not hypothesizing - bought a new 2023 790 earlier this year exactly because of that (with base price under the cf motos msrp. So out the door would have been the same)
I dont have a problem with the bike, or the brand. There is a decent dealer network, I know in the past CFmoto stood by their products. Its not like some Hawk 250 off of Amazon. I hope the brand can survive the next couple of years.
I would love to see a dyno video for all the modes. I am interested in this, but I am a beginner rider. I am a big guy 6' 4" and about 235ibs so finding a good beginner bike has been a challenge.
I'm considering this bike from a FZ-07 but I will need to figure out a way to turn that wheelie control off. The wheelie happie FZ-07 can't be traded for no wheelies.
I have been thinking of a Benelli 302s instead of a tnt 135. I just want to have something I can run to town on instead of the Tri Glide. The 302 sounds good. What do you think? I am 64 so I think it’s a better choice.
If you want better throttle response and more midrange power you should consider removing the intake snorkels in the airbox (they are there for EPA noise regulations); you will thank me later 😀
The light is a good idea. A little too heavy for me. And I needs to be more pliable. Won’t fit some helmets. If it was like a silicone sticker with a center power source, I think it would be nicer.
I have a 450 SR-S and a CBR650. Mechanically the CFmoto is great but in my humble opinion the touch points are low quality compared to the CBR. I ended up spending a bunch of money on the CF moto to make it feel as nice. CFmotos are great but there is a trade off for that price and in my eyes the trade off came on the touch points. That's probably better than the trade offs coming on the engine.
I bought one, it's just a work horse. No problems, it's easy to ride. It really is a good motorcycle. Exhaust sounds really good and has no right to be that good.
I don't hate this bike. In fact I barely think about it. If you asked me to list 1,000 motorcycles, I doubt it would even come to mind. I forgot it even existed before I saw this thumbnail.
Honestly im pretty sure the exhaust is V banded so removing the can or the bread box is super easy, in fact yoou could keep the can and remove the bread box and get a LOT of pluses out of it and keep the nice look but then again im not to sure what the after market ones look like on the bike itself so the after market might look okay but they could also look amazing...or just destroy the looks but still!
It depends on where the O2 sensors are, but you're right. It's one band clamp from header to cat, and a second from cat to muffler. I'd like to test link pipe and stock exhaust, link pipe and slip on and slip with cat. That'd be fun
@@spitescorner it would be super fun to watch as well, i've been looking at the 800NK for a while now but almost no content or knowledge is spread, Will look forward to any news and videos you have on this beast thank you for "taking" one for the team!
Just looked at CFmoto's site out of curiosity, and I saw they announced prices for the new 675 sport bike, and it's undercutting the Daytona 660, R7 and GSX8R by 2 grand where I live. The only other bike in the class priced that well is the ancient Ninja 650 which is more of a sport tourer than anything. I think they're kicking Triumph's ass when it comes to making affordable triples here, if they hold up in the long term.
The Ninja 650 is a HORRIBLE bike if you ask me. I bought one expecting it to be comfortable quick and handle well and honestly it does nothing well at all. Especially for the price. The 800nk seems like a hell of a deal

I use the cruise control regularly and the roll off method I don't like as I have been trained to hold the throttle and switch off. This stops the engine braking and keeps you at the same speed and is more safer than the roll off method. Love your reviews and Love this bike. 😊
The problem with china are the spare parts, are difficult to get after an accident
What's is this? Last year?
This is now a problem for ALL brands of cars/bikes/trucks/ tv whatever whatever. Doesnt matter where it was made.
Why choose this to be a benchmark for long-term Chinese performance when we know that the LC8c is fatally flawed in so many other configurations?
Because to my knowledge they fixed it. And we're going to find out.
The bike looks nice and aggressive, the little wings at the front look sweet, and the Brakefree I own and it really is a top accessory.
My 800NK is now fully kitted out. It really needs more attention from people fr.
Get them before the tariffs make it $20k
I doubt it will be that pricey, but well over 10k soon.
damn, that's a clean lookin' bike. and can't wait to see you torture test it.
Subsidised materials, electricity and keeping the workforce like peasants do make this bike cheap. This is why we need tariffs.
I feel like i never use my brakes when riding in traffic, so the helmet brake light would probably help a lot with signaling the people behind me I'm slowing down! Will definitely consider getting one!
I still love my Ibex 800T after 5600 miles and multiple offroad camping trips!
Spite = King of Voice Fry
🤷🏿♂️
Not so affectionately referred to as 'Jap Crap' ... and how wrong we were!
Might as well compare PRC to Martians as Japanese !
I hope you do a lot of content on this bike. Interesting if new taxes(tariffs) will affect pricing, we'll find out.
Bought mine last week for 6k, absolutely love it, excited to see what you do with it
Wait people are hating on this one? I thought generally CF has been getting a lot of love all around? am i wrong? I mean obviously there is the die hard haters but like, from most ive seen mostly good about CF. Including the NK line
People who like bronzer tend to not like this because it's chinese.
Me personally i own a 450sr-s
The ones that love it have no time writing about it since they are enjoying. No news is good news in that case ;)
The loud ones are die hard "anti chinese" people and are scared of everything m.i.c
Lets face it though, most people just dont give a fuck about either side 😂
Nice review Spite! Im going to look at one. Question, what kind of bag do you have strapped to you?
It's not a bag. It's a hard case for my camera gear.
Congratulations! I bought a 450nk after watching your videos. Perhaps my next bike would be the 800nk.
Great looking bike, looking forward to more vids!
You bought it? Why then congratulations!!! But wait a few weeks ago you said fiancée and now wife? Well then congratulations!!!! Again!
Interestingly enough, she can go from fiancé to wife in less than 30 minutes depending on the officiant.
Half or more of everything everyone uses daily is from China. Yet they flip out over a motorcycle from China. They are great bikes. We have one. Put 3k hard miles on a 450ss and still love it.
Wait till they realise cfmoto and yamaha are manufactured together in the same factory, not to mention the merging between the two companies.
@@gfntsyLoL, way to spread misinformation. Yamaha makes 90% of their bikes in Japan.
I really love this bike!! Snobs be jealous!! About to buy a Papio SS.
Happu for you :) enjoy your newish bike, and don´t listen to the haters
Who hates this bike? We went to Barber Motorcycle Festival recently (October) and did demo rides, including the 800 NK. It was an awesome ride. 🤔
I have a 300nk and in ireland its great. Love it to bits and gets me where i need to go and ill always have a fun time on it no matter what. I do want a larger cc bike next year tho.
Those taillights look premium. There's a seriously good value proposition with these bikes if the quality is there. Time will tell.
I would love to see this bike with a Barracuda Areosport screen and a Ventura Adjustable Pack-Rack rack so it can be used for a longer weekend ride.
I wouldn't buy a KTM or CFMoto. You can't beat Japanese reliability and a good used Japanese bike is easy to find. 😎
Amen...Jap stuff never fails and is ALWAYS well engineered...
Agreed!
Solid pickup. Looking fwd to the content
I cannot wait to hear your thoughts on the CFMoto 675 whenever you finally ride one. It's thus far the only cfmoto I ever seriously considered
I want to ride that bike SO BAD
You do realize there are over 7 billion people on the planet. And CF Moto is an up and coming manufacturer. CF moto is the answer to the now very expensive Asian and European bikes. Glad you are happy with this bike and review.
Sooooooo glad you're doing this. I bought a ibex 800T last month and I wanted to know how the reliability is gonna be long term of them 790 engine.
Nobody hates them. I used to have a papio and it was great. The new Cfmoto 450s is where it’s at
Ive had a 650 nk for a year and love it. im on my lams license cant wait to upgrade next year and get my rclass licence and yeah there under 10k Australian here when i get my full rclass i will get a 800nk it looks amazing for the price
Super interesting 👍
I love honestly the shape of the exhaust over the 790 one.
I think the biggest problem is the 790 exists. Dealers have some 2023 790 sitting for prices that will still come under this bikes price even after adding the tech package - so you end up about the same or under after adding the cruise control to the ktm and the steering dampener to the cf moto
But - you have a ktm with better market value and 5 more hp (every bit counts) so 🤷♂️
(Not hypothesizing - bought a new 2023 790 earlier this year exactly because of that (with base price under the cf motos msrp. So out the door would have been the same)
I like them they honor their warranty and even if it isn't under warranty they covered it
I dont have a problem with the bike, or the brand. There is a decent dealer network, I know in the past CFmoto stood by their products. Its not like some Hawk 250 off of Amazon. I hope the brand can survive the next couple of years.
I vote for Miss Spite to appear on the channel.
If you are worried about CF Moto reliability, check out the ATV and SxS reviews. People love them. Wish I had one instead of my 790 Adventure.
Cant do it yet. Need to see how it holds up over time
No way this motor makes it to high mileage.
@birddogz545 only because it's ktm engineered
Great vid! Thinking about grabbing one of these!!!!
I would love to see a dyno video for all the modes. I am interested in this, but I am a beginner rider. I am a big guy 6' 4" and about 235ibs so finding a good beginner bike has been a challenge.
You are likely too big for it. The Aprilia Taureg660 would be a good fit for your size. Tenere 700 is another good option
I look forward to spite inevitably learning Chinese like John Cena
We had a loaner CF300 NK at our school. Starter broke. It's been at the dealer for 8 months waiting for parts
In the U.S. it seems to make a lot more sense to just get the MT 09 or another better product for the same price and no worries.
How can ppl hate this bike ??? It looks freeking cool. Is good build quality and it is HELLA FUN to ride
I'm considering this bike from a FZ-07 but I will need to figure out a way to turn that wheelie control off. The wheelie happie FZ-07 can't be traded for no wheelies.
I rode one it was a very good ride…only problem was the electronics where the gear shift indicator jumped all over the place giving wrong gear data
Adding more air will not fix a bike that is already running lean. It needs a closed loop delete and a tune
The light is a good idea. A little too heavy for me. And I needs to be more pliable. Won’t fit some helmets. If it was like a silicone sticker with a center power source, I think it would be nicer.
People will never stop judging sadly. They should or at least do it way less. But also in this case, ride it before you make verdicts.
I got one. In Mexico it’s only the advance version
It’s extremely unstable at 100 mph and above even tho it have a damper
I have a 450 SR-S and a CBR650. Mechanically the CFmoto is great but in my humble opinion the touch points are low quality compared to the CBR. I ended up spending a bunch of money on the CF moto to make it feel as nice.
CFmotos are great but there is a trade off for that price and in my eyes the trade off came on the touch points. That's probably better than the trade offs coming on the engine.
8:38 motorcycle instinct of organic matter on the road yaaaas
I'm still thinking about getting the 450 nekked over the bigger bike.
I bought one, it's just a work horse. No problems, it's easy to ride. It really is a good motorcycle. Exhaust sounds really good and has no right to be that good.
@davidlv good to hear. How many miles/kms have you done so far?
That or the Himalayan?
@@Ntmoffi I had about 3K miles on in 4 months, I traded up to my Aprilia Tuono 660 factory.
@@davidlv did you outgrow it or something?
Congratulations on 146K subscribers!
Much appreciate for the video for this bike!
Awesome. CFMoto is going to make a impact on the motorcycle industry. I cant wait until 450 CLC gets to the dealers
That CLC looks like a sweet little cruiser
I don't hate this bike.
In fact I barely think about it. If you asked me to list 1,000 motorcycles, I doubt it would even come to mind. I forgot it even existed before I saw this thumbnail.
You most definitely need to get this to wheelie with a how to (pretty please)
Nah definitely agree on the modern Yamaha look. I absolutely hate the new ones. 04-08 R1 is peak.
Saw one at the dealer (the white version), and it is a stunning machine. Sadly, I have a road bike i really like. dang
I've seen people complaining about throttle jerkiness arround 4k rpm, have you been experiencing that? And any ideas of how to fix it?
I bought one 2 weeks ago nice bike, love it. 8k out the door
Whether it be a quad bike or road bike or adventure bike I never hear bad things about CFM
this bike doesn't have the ktm cheese cam issue. the engine design has slight difference at the cam
Put 30k on it in 5 years. That's the reliability test I need to see.
We are looking to you to get some long term outcomes
I'll definitely be doing a long term review at the end of 2025.
Yeah the 100000 km , how will it take if it ever gets there?
@@robertholland7558 probably never. Almost no bikes see over 50K miles, or rather most people don't put that many miles on any motorcycle
Are regular motorcycle shops going to service these? Or strictly cfmoto? That swing are looks long or very dirtbiky
Sick “man bag”!
That would be a camera case.
@@joewaun894 It's really a good bike. 6.5-7 at everything. I think you're expecting too much and will be disappointed with anything else. Don't know why you don't think it's comfortable, I'm tall and it's great. I think you don't own one
