- The newest member of The Money Team, Ashley Theophane (black) got in some sparring at "the doghouse" as he prepared for his upcoming fight against Pablo Cesar Cano with undefeated prospect Errol Spence (gray).

Spence is class. He's such a basic southpaw. But he's mastered each shot in his arsonal and same with his footwork. That's why he's so good. He's one of my favs. It's hard to explain what I mean. I don't know how to put it.
Both guys were taking it easy and working on stuff. It's sparring and it was nice to see both guys pulling punches and working on technique.
dumb logic. I fight. bouth fighters are trying to feel out eachotger yes but also they're FIGHTING. They're still trying to beat one another.

Well its sparring man. Errol just sharpening his tools. Ya feel me. He was holding back because he need that work. He can't learn nothing if he just obliterate his sparring partners. He's allowing his partner to throw punches so he can work on his defense and counters.
Spence uses his jab well and keeps his hands up. That's nice to see, especially coming out of the Mayweather Boxing Club
I was thinking the same thing. It's great to see his really smooth and fundamentally sound style that isn't centered around the shoulder roll like many of TMT's fighters

The way he keeps his chin tight and his guard up, Errol’s defense is way underrated. And he’s never off balance or out of position.
Errol Spence Jr is the blue headgear and Ashley is the red case nobody knew and from the comments I see after watching video Errol look way sharper than Ashley

Algieri will be easy work for Errol Spence. Algieri is a decent boxer, with very little punching power, and a lot of heart. Looking forward to seeing a Kell Brook vs. Errol Spence fight at the end of the year since Errol has been vocal about wanting the fight and has stated publicly his willingness to go across the pond to fight him.

Good work can’t read too much into it tho cos it’s only sparring but Ashley holding his own..
this is called working technique sparring. which is the best because u get to work on your mistakes and find your strengths wrather than going all out all the time.

errol spence has a style that reminds me of a more aggressive counter puncher that creates or finds openings than Juan Manuel Marquez but more flat footed than Finito Lopez

at 3:53 looks like Spence might have hurt him with that body shot, hence why he held back than clinched with Spence. great sparring. Spence has potential and time on his side. see what he does with it!

Very good sparring
Theophane is a good boxer with a good record, but Spence looked the better fighter during that session.
Admittedly Spence does fight at welter rather than light-welter so he is a bit bigger and probably stronger than Theophane but he does look like a good prospect!
Errol was holding back the whole fight because Ashley was getting ready to fight Broner and Spence didn't wanna make him look bad but still did
can't wait to see how Mikey deals with this kind of pressure and power

I wished Spence would use more lateral movements and use more of his legs to create angles . He's coming straight at Theophane here. If he doesn't improve that, he's definitely getting outboxed by Crawford.. the Charlo's fight the same way, in a straight line
Spence rarely takes a step back. The Brook fight was the most I have seen him move laterally. So I wouldnt judge him on fighting in a straight line. It's hard to give angles when your always coming forward.
@@fidelmercado2621 Right he's making mence meat out of all these fighters and hasn't had to show those attributes yet. He's an Olympian fighting use to fighting on a point system. I'm sure he posesses those skills.
Watch the Lamont Peterson fight and the Mikey Garcia fight. Perfect example of lateral foot movement.
Spence has Great Cardio such a great guard, great punch selection and he's so aware. Man, this guy's will be hard to beat. It's takes a truly great fighter to beat him.. Spence works.. he's the definition of WORK!!! .. #FREE SMOKE JR #MANDOWN

Fighters should try to copy Spence style. Use the jab, work the body, keep a good distance to see the opponents punches with your hands up

I think Broner will win but it's just his fighting style that will give him a problem. He mixes the jab and the over hand right nicely and if you know anything about Broner, he struggles defending that. Just like when he fought Maidana, that over hand punch is hard for him because he attempts to counter off the jab but if it's the over hand, he just left himself wide open for it.
one thing errol does that i think can hurt him is he drops his left hand when his opponent throws a right hand. I've seen him try to block it but it gets through sometimes.

I don't get why if Ashley wasn't looking good against Errol in sparring?, why would they put him against Adrien Broner who has more experience and is faster than spence!? He wasn't ready to fight Broner in my opinion!

Theophane GOT WORKED!. Theopane is letting Spence piston pump that jab way too much. He needs to counter it more often to slow down Spence, because Spence uses it to set everything up.

Spence outclassed Ashley. Errol kept the pressure and took it easy on theopane. Errol spence can fight and can punch. Wear you down with combos to head and body then take you out wit devastating straight lefts. Gotta just keep spence at bay with some faints, counter with some pop to keep him off u, then discourage n wear him down hopefully. But thatd be very difficult to do to an ex Olympian who can punch , unless u r Floyd mayweather.

To think Errol's jab has only gotten better and stronger. I love how he jabs to the body a lot as well not just the head. And he cuts the ring off better than most of these fighters. I dont care how slick Mikey Garcia is, he is going to get boxed in, lit up, and KO'ed by Errol.
I like Spence Jr, but with more ring experience he has the basic makings to be great! Still takes too many clean shots from opponents in my opinion. And i'm not just talking about this sparring session here!!

never stopped broner and never gave floyd a black eye. just rumors started from fans that dislike broner and floyd. BUT .. he did admit to "hurting" broner in a video never said he dropped him or stopped him. and Floyd did say spence gave him some good work and was very competitive in sparring.
