Wtf 11:35. He literally turned his back and ran. Never seen no shit like that in a boxing ring before. Spence was coming for him in the third taking control landing some good shots. If the fight was longer think Spence would have taken over.
What's up with these childish comments? It's either people trying to laughing at Spence, or writing off Spiyev as if he'd be no match for current Spence... Serik Sapiyev is one of the greatest Welterweight Amateurs ever, and it's hard to find someone as fleet-footed with footwork as sharp. Spence lost to him, and...? Doesn't negate anything about Spence's ability that someone outclassed him once.

Spence is a stationary flat footed hard hitter. if you can stick and move he can't beat you. he relies mostly on his hard punches and fighters who are willing to go toe toe. every fighter got their strength and weaknesses and it's all about match ups.
Sapiyev style works so well against Spence. I think if they would fight in the pros sapiyev would win. It seemed Spence had no answer for sapiyevs footwork. Give them each 2 months training and let them fight and I think sapiyev would get UD. If not, Spence by KO, but seeing this let's me know Spence couldn't even land cleanly and Spences style has not changed that much from this.

pacquiao vs spence brought me here. on my prediction, just like how serik fought spence here, the in-out movement of pacquiao will be the key. ofc spence has developed greatly since 2011, but if he still fights like this in august, I''ll say pacman will get the W.
Sapiyev reminds me of Lomachenko with the in and out side to side. Yes amateur and pro are different because in amateur the rounds are short and you win on points so they can fight at that frenetic pace. Spence has improved since then. Spence is a boxer puncher so in a short fight he may get tagged and lose rounds on points if he doesn't get off first. All he needs to do is get off first and anyone he faces is in for a long night as a pro. In the pros you can win the battle but lose the war if you gas out. Sapiyev was quick asf though. Nice upload!
spence Style is more for pro boxing than it is for amateur, many amateur starts are unsuccessful in pros, because all that moving around and scoring points, isnt easy once have to do it for 12 rounds and not 3..
I'm not surprised at all that he beat Spence. Sapiyev is no joke, winning the 2005 and 2007 world championships. In 2008, if he hadn't been robbed, he most likely would have gone to win gold. In 2009 he lost in the semi finals and got bronze. This is an insane pedigree...plus he's got a style that has been feared throughout the amateurs. A tall guy that has quick feet and puts on pressure from a distance. Better wish good luck to all of his opponents because to be honest, they need it.
Spence jabs in a straight line ..he does not move in a circle with the jab ..spence need more defensive movement besides "both hands up"..HE needs pivot , toe up, step back ect while both hands are up
I am befuddled by the comments deriding Sapiyev's mad dash @ 11:36. Sapiyev employs a style that relies on constant back-and-forth & side-to-side movement. To be effective, therefore, he must be able to shuffle, pivot, & dart in all directions at any given moment. At this point, you'll notice that the referee walks right into the fighter's line of retreat, which forces Sapiyev out of his rhythm & trips him up a little. It looks silly for sure, but he did what was necessary to reset himself.
Most of you people wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Spence. Then you go on making silly comments comparing amateur and pro boxing. So boring. Stick to pro boxing channels
Here before Spence. Sapiyev's style used too much energy if he tried to translate to the pros. He's found success after having great ameteur career. It wouldve been even more impressive if he went pro back then
joann dortch one Kell Brook does not have no wear near the same style. Kell Brooks isn't even a Olympic level fighter. I also don't think Spense has changed Stylistically, if he fought a fighter like Pacquiao, who can jump in and out of distance in a second , Stylistically he would have problems. but compared to the other competition ,I got him on top
A shame Sapiyev never turned pro. Fantastic footwork, hand speed and boxing ability. He also looks like he has some height. He potentially could have been a great boxer from welter to middleweight.
Man everyone talking about blue corner no doubt have a lot of skill but you can tell Errol was getting to him in the 3rd that’s exactly how his pro fights go he was gonna break dude down but this the amateurs different styles
He was 28 still fighting Olympic style matches. He is all footwork and jab. This is the busy fighter looks better rules. Lol. Spence would kill this guy in a 12 round pro bout as he is today.
You & I agree more than we disagree, but I'm not sure you give Sapiyev his due credit. In this match, I think he commands the action. Spence seems off-balance & unable to cope w/ his jitterbugging. And those pitty-pat punches land w/ enough frequency & accuracy to open a cut on Spence's face. (You're right, though: the mad dash is comical, but I blame the ref for interfering w/ the action.) Spence v. Sap. II could happen in London later this week. We'll see if Spence can adapt. Cheers, mate!

This fight taught Errol some things. I’ve seen Errol fight light on his toes like this but with his on flavor in some of his early pro fights
Errol has never fought light on his toes like this
Why does this look like it was filmed in the 1990’s with this video quality lol.
For example when sugar Shane was #1pound for pound.Unbeaten he met up against Forrest that had his number in the amatures and gave him his first lost in the pros.
The guy schooled Spence here
Shame well its not shame because some of these guys after getting gold go to army and even give more honor the only doubt in my head that when they die in the battlefield few only know them
Sapiyev outclassed him
Yeah Sapiyev outclassed him here. I think a full 10-12 rounds, Errol would have got the stoppage though. It was no doubt the big shots was starting to make Serik think twice about exchanging.
Im sorry #casualfan here... But ddnt i see this dude literally turn and run around th referee??? 🤔
He won... But "outclassed"? Yu joking right?
+Who Israel H turned around and run cause referee got in his way and messed his game.It was referee's fault.
skotiskiller lol he used th ref to set a pick 🤣 sht turned into a basketball play 🤣🤣🤣
tommy cane115 he's really good an cud Hav shown a blueprint to solve th Spence puzzle... But who can keep that pace for 12 rnds... He played th points game well knowing issa short fight... Spence needs a rnd or 2... An now he's committed to th body way earlier which is wy now fighters find it hard to stay on that bike. He knocks em off... Plus he cuts th ring off way better now too... So idk...
Can some explain how Serik is so floaty? How do execute such a bounce
serik sapiyev
good boxer
It is nice watching stuff like this watching our boxes evolve Spence was fighting a grown man and you can tell by Spence movement and his punches that he didn't have his grown-man strength yet I say he has it now
Michael Spencer strength isn’t wat made the difference in this fight😂
He has evolved. If thats was a pro fight dude getting koed
That’s not the problem… he fighting another southpaw.. and the southpaw is moving.. Errol is still flat footed till this day .
@@AIAWAP ESJ has already shown that he can be flat footed by sittingdown on his punches and can box in the Mikey Garcia fight. He has "Evolved"
Lol nice excuses and coping mechanism. He was knocking out ppl left right and centre in the US amateur system. Grown man strength is a gimmick word like p4p, tuneup, ring rust.
His flat feet and cinderblock head style cannot deal with movers and has issues with other southpaws and Sapiyev is both of those things and he was superb on the night. End of story.
that in and out movement is offsetting spence's timing. i'm noticing spence doesnt do half the things here that he does now.....he improved alot since derrick james took him in for the olympics. i think this was before kenny porter too.
Yeah Spence does, he's not fighting and southpaws with speed and good footwork in the pros. Most of Spence's opponents are more flat footed and stand right in front of him..If Brook didn't have that bad eye socket from GGG I think he would've beat Spence..
@@ybe87 exactly
@@ybe87 nah, he wouldnt have beaten spence because spence broke his other eye socket.... either way brook would have had a broken eye.....thats like saying brook would beat GGG if he didnt break his eye...
This helped me a lot. To understand. Why guys like this don’t make good Pros.
Mainly because. He’s just slap boxing or potty pat. Not trying to hurt anyone. Just touch him with your gloves.
Serik Sapiev is one of the best boxer, for the sake of Olympic champions, professional boxing has not passed. Serik Sapiev and Gennadi Golovkin and Vasili Zhirov from one city of Kazakhstan.
I was watching the Bud vs Spence fight and it brought me here. To see that Soence hasn't changed anything since then is crazy. No head movement no defense just straight walking down like he's a chulo dawg shot out
15:08 eric spence lmfao
Wtf 11:35. He literally turned his back and ran. Never seen no shit like that in a boxing ring before. Spence was coming for him in the third taking control landing some good shots. If the fight was longer think Spence would have taken over.
😂😂😂
"He who hits and runs away lives to fight another day" - Muhammad Ali
Sapiyev made this fight look easy respect
What's up with these childish comments? It's either people trying to laughing at Spence, or writing off Spiyev as if he'd be no match for current Spence...
Serik Sapiyev is one of the greatest Welterweight Amateurs ever, and it's hard to find someone as fleet-footed with footwork as sharp. Spence lost to him, and...? Doesn't negate anything about Spence's ability that someone outclassed him once.
fr Americans acting like a kids in the comments, very ignorant
Серик показал красивый бокс!
Dude is the blue had mad confidence... that’s why he won that...
It's funny Errol is so good in the U.S. but he sort of get out classed here on the world stage it's crazy. Sapiyev I wish I had your stamina bro so I can get of combos and recover quick to do more.great fight.
Bitch dude was grown ASF Errol 26 and 0 as pro we're the fuck he at now
@@harrisoncole1414 Facts....Errol won Silver in the Olympics. Errol had already qualified from what I heard.
@@soul2soul4 Errol didnt win a medal 🤣he litteraly got sent home in the quarterfinals because he lost to a Russian
I was there in this World Champs I got beat 19-20 by Mexico's Juan Mecado at Middleweight and after this fight Errol Spence's dad was mad at him because Spence Qualified and he lost interest in this fight because he knew he qualified Spence is a good fighter he was blasting through opponents in this competition but when I look at this fight I was thinking
'Is Spence Drunk? but this competition was hard
His dad can be mad all he wants and say errol didn't take it seriously as an excuse.... he tried when he was in the ring.... Errol is always full of excuses for all his losses, all the times he is hurt, and all the fights that he don't get a KO in .... victim mental 101. Sapiyev just gave him a boxing lesson, the same one he has been avoiding in the pros from movers like bud and thurman....sapiyev beat him cuz he was that damn good and he is another southpaw and a mover. Historically those 2 are the worst for flat feet spence.... and the guy is a combo of both
@@jasongreen7860You have no idea what you’re talking about😂 EJ LOVES fighting boxer punchers. We used to call him terminator against guys like that.
@@jasongreen7860 Dude shut up Bud was horrible in the Ammys, Dude didnt give a excuse all he said was his dad was mad at him. Serik has a decade of experienc over Errol and went on to win a Gold Medal in the Olympics beating the dude that Beat Spence in the games. Spence is game is way better now back Then. And he didnt avoid Nobody in the Pros He has a way better Resume than Crawford or Thurman with Thurman avoiding Spence for 3 years.
@@UltimateTViptv LOL both were bad in the amateurs, Spence has hella losses too .... but he has an issue with movers. His game is still cement footed brawler.
Nah Spence went for post GGG Brook instead of forcing wba and wbc mando vs thurman
You shut up casual, and you will see on Saturday :) Cannot w8
@@donnellholloway8381 Boxer punchers? I'm talkin about movers. SMDH terminator who couldn't hurt Mikey the featherweight ROFLMA0
You Errols3xuals make me laugh .... and I mean it, I laugh when I read these comments. You really try bless you 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂
Spence is a stationary flat footed hard hitter. if you can stick and move he can't beat you. he relies mostly on his hard punches and fighters who are willing to go toe toe. every fighter got their strength and weaknesses and it's all about match ups.
@BIGMONEYJEFFAFA too small 😂😂😂 you not even tryna be realistic
@BIGMONEYJEFFAFA Size difference is too big though
Sapiyev style works so well against Spence. I think if they would fight in the pros sapiyev would win. It seemed Spence had no answer for sapiyevs footwork. Give them each 2 months training and let them fight and I think sapiyev would get UD. If not, Spence by KO, but seeing this let's me know Spence couldn't even land cleanly and Spences style has not changed that much from this.
Jairus Roque no way. Spence would break this guy down easily in the pros. Won’t even go past 6.
@@raymondpacheco8716 Spence was dieing in There huffin and puffin
mr macmartinez But you know you won’t dare to say this guy would beat Spence in the pros cause you know you would be lying 😂
@@raymondpacheco8716 sapiyev would Tko Spence inside 5 rds if it were a pro fight , Spence wouldn't have that nice head gear protecting him
mr macmartinez you obviously don’t know boxing. 😂 if they fight right now it’s a murder scene and Spence might get arrested 😂
If Crawford fight Spence like this he might have a chance. He'll probably lose, but he'll have a chance...This is almost exactly how Leonard fought hearns in the first fight. Go back and watch the fight.
Here after the Crawford Spence fight 😮
This is why I think another speedy southpaw Manny Pacquiao will beat Errol Spence
i watched this fight years ago and realized then Bud could do the same and beat Spence easy.
Grown ass man fighting a kid whose honing his skills. They need to put a cap on the age limit you can compete at in international competition this dude is 28 in the prime of his physical ability and has been competing for over a decade calling himself an amateur
Brandon so? just excuses errol shouldnt be in olympics
b6amino the Olympics are for amateurs not grown ass men who are pushing 30
b6amino no dumbass
that sapiyev dude is like 27 Spence was 19 chill out that old ass dude in the Olympics its not an excuse its the truth Spence would kill him now Olympics or pros this dude sapiyev stayed in the Olympics so long he has no professional skills american boxers don't stay in the Olympics that long years tops maybe 3 if needed sapiyev been there 8 maybe 9 years
Brandon you're fuccin stupid nicca age don't mean shit in boxing only weight do tf
Cassius Clay def. Errol Spence (UD)
its all about good footwork and gettin off first without give ur opponent the chance to mke his moves.
Exactly!
Feels like Spence was fighting Loma LMAO
Sapiyev Serik (KAZ) is best of the best!!!!
Reminds me of a young pacquiao, just much taller.
Speed and movement it's the only way you could beat Spence and having a Jab as king.
Clears throat..... Crawford!
@@hisgrace956 loma beat spence and craford in the same time
pacquiao vs spence brought me here. on my prediction, just like how serik fought spence here, the in-out movement of pacquiao will be the key. ofc spence has developed greatly since 2011, but if he still fights like this in august, I''ll say pacman will get the W.
Man stop it. This was a long time ago lmao
Definitely a learning experience For Errol...Errol is Killin the Welterweight division right now as a PRO! March 16th.. Mikey getting cracked!
Yeah Mikey getting put to DEATH #MANDOWN
Except for bud 🤣
Казах красавчик! Крутой бой - крутой "скальп"! В первом раунде Спенс прям на себя не похож был, на "задней ноге" просидел.
После интервью решили посмотреть?) 😄
U guys talking about how dude dancing around. If it was pro with no head gear, his head would have been off, refer to 3:35 for more info
Gotta love it!
We're this guy now
Thank you.....
Working 9 to 5....
great footwork, doesn't get his head off centre a lot though
Look out for shakur Stevenson probably the best American since sog
LEGENDARY FIGHT 👊🏼 🇮🇩 samarinda , id
It wouldve been even more impressive if he went pro back then
Ima spence fan ,kazak man move unblievable💯
Spence improve a lot since those years ago his speed power. If he fought that same fighter now different ball game
O YEA BUT KELL ALMOST HAS THE SAME STYLE BUT BETTER
SPENCE JUST GOT EXPOSED
joann dortch one Kell Brook does not have no wear near the same style. Kell Brooks isn't even a Olympic level fighter. I also don't think Spense has changed Stylistically, if he fought a fighter like Pacquiao, who can jump in and out of distance in a second , Stylistically he would have problems. but compared to the other competition ,I got him on top
he would kill pac
KELL GOING TO HURT HIM WITH STRAIGHT RIGHTS
PAC TO SMALL GTFOFH
HE WOULD DESTROY HIM NOW
Tory Beckford you gay as fuck
See him keep that say foot work for 12 rounds
My brother, how about 15??
if you go bye the Olympics then Amir kahn is the greatest
Khan didn't win gold though so how would he be the greatest?
Darion Jackson wrong Andre ward would be the greatest. and guess what.he is no1 pound for pound.
BoxingHacker andre ward is complete shite.
By olympics rigondaux was
Loma is the greatest
A shame Sapiyev never turned pro. Fantastic footwork, hand speed and boxing ability. He also looks like he has some height. He potentially could have been a great boxer from welter to middleweight.
2000toinfinity he'd have gotten k.o by ggg if he did
ggg cant handle movement and foot speed.

probably the best foot work in amateur boxing. It would be interesting to watch how changes his style if he went to pro.
Dima Dubnevych hes an old man now
He wouldn't keep up for 12 rounds
That style is good for couple of rounds
Man everyone talking about blue corner no doubt have a lot of skill but you can tell Errol was getting to him in the 3rd that’s exactly how his pro fights go he was gonna break dude down but this the amateurs different styles
Spence was trying to knock ol boy clean the spark out, in that last round!! lol..
Он мог стать 3-х кратным чемпионом мира.
lol he started running
Sapiyev has some good footwork geez
Kazakh4life
He was 28 still fighting Olympic style matches. He is all footwork and jab. This is the busy fighter looks better rules. Lol. Spence would kill this guy in a 12 round pro bout as he is today.
Seryk the best
That's boxing vs fighting. Spence was fighting a fight. The dude in blue was boxing. Nothing more.
11:35 😂😭 jhahahahaha love these
You & I agree more than we disagree, but I'm not sure you give Sapiyev his due credit.
This is why Spence gonna lose to pacquiao
